  1. There are suites that do not have the Yacht Club "experience". For example, there are suites that are very large with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms but they only come with the Aurea "experience", not the Yacht Club "experience". It varies by ship. With Yacht Club, you get access to more exclusive areas that are off limits to guests with a different "experience". The Yacht Club is a "ship within a ship" concept. It's partly similar to RCCL's Suite Neighborhood but taken to a higher level of exclusivity. The closest thing to the Yacht Club is NCL's The Haven. The next closest is Celebrity's The Retreat. It's not on all MSC ships. The newer ones have Yacht Club and some even have some exclusivity for Aurea guests (sundeck, restaurant, etc.). https://www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise/ships The ones with the have Yacht Club. I don't know which ship that you are considering (Euribia, Preziosa, Poesia) but Euribia is the newest of those 3 and has pretty much everything that you could need either with or without Yacht Club as far as nice staterooms and new ship "stuff".
  2. The thing is, for Breakaway/Getaway, the stateroom that you prefer is 10916. For Escape, Bliss, and Encore, the stateroom that you prefer is 10918. For Joy, the stateroom that you prefer is 10970. That's why I made the point about jumping around in the thread to different ships and different classes of ships. I knew what you meant (I recognized the carpet) but I knew that 10918 is for 3 of the Breakaway Plus ships and not for Breakaway/Getaway.
  3. There are transparent panels above that cover a large part of the sundeck. They don't completely block the sun but they do provide some shade. There are also shaded areas near the pool and bar/grill. There are plenty of loungers and umbrellas. You just have to open them or have an attendant open them.
  4. They're mostly the same. A few minor differences. Seaside = cabana on the sundeck Seascape = pergola on the sundeck Seascape has the better whirlpool on the balcony and has power doors for the balcony. Seaside doors are manual (at least when I was on). Seaside balcony has better furniture but not a worthy difference. The butler might hook you up with some extras while you're in your cabana/pergola but not everyone gets something. It depends on the butler, I guess. Although rare, it is possible to snag a RS for a decent price. My next RS I managed to get for about what I paid for a 2018 RS when prices were still low (booked in 2016). When prices are double (or more) than the Deluxe, it isn't worth it.
  5. It has the symbol for Holds 8 on the deck plan but the booking engine doesn't seem to allow 8 when I try it. It'll probably be 8 people max.
  6. Many people feel that Epic has the better Haven but Escape is the overall better ship. For a $2K savings, even I, the forum member who insults Epic the most, would go on Epic...in the Haven.... As ugly as the ship is, Epic wins.
  7. Deck plans for Breakaway make finding 10918 a bit difficult....
  8. The wheelchair accessible Club Balcony staterooms can't really be compared to anything but each other. They also only sleep 2 so that may not be an option for some. In that case, the one starboard side is the better of the 2. Also, there is some jumping around in the thread between different ships and different classes. It can be confusing if people aren't sure what they are looking at.
  9. It would depend on which aft-facing balcony decks/staterooms were available and which Club Balcony staterooms were available. Bed location is important to me so I would see what the best available options were. Balcony sizes vary for both categories so I would try to get the largest one available. The Club Balcony w/ huge balcony staterooms have less privacy from above but have a better view of the ocean when looking straight down. Motion doesn't bother me but many people find the aft-most staterooms to be more stable that the forward-most staterooms. If it rains, aft-facing would be better. If you want more sun, the CBS would be better. Overall, I prefer the aft-facing as long as I can get a good one.
  10. I know that it's just a typo but ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶w̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶r̶o̶u̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶e̶x̶p̶l̶a̶i̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶h̶y̶.̶.̶.̶
  11. Haven access doesn't connect to those in the balcony stateroom. The concierge might allow something but officially, only the people booked in the Haven suite would have Haven access.
  12. There has never been a problem before. Even when the wife didn't like the entrée, they brought her a different one.
  13. Yes, to all of the above. There can be but that is true for all of the lines (Carnival, NCL, RCCL, MSC) that you are considering. I find that there are also isolated and quiet(er) areas on the ships that we have been on. The trick is to find them and not to get wrapped up in the crowds. Nobody really cares where families actually sleep. It would be best to get connecting but adjacent or opposing staterooms can work. The adults would need to be booked apart but can sleep in one with the kids in the other if you are confident that they are responsible enough. Getting extra wristbands is an inexpensive option. Opening balcony dividers can depend on the cruise line and in some cases, the stateroom. You may or may not be able to open the divider. Depending on time of year and luck, it's possible that Yacht Club for 5 can be done for about the price of 2 balconies on the Oasis Class. Actually, it could be less depending on ship (don't even think about getting a good price on the ICON Class) so that's something to consider.
  14. One of my cruises was booked through MSC's concierge service and didn't show price details nor did it give the option to pay online. One day, it just popped up and gave me all info and options like my other cruises that were booked online. As for the "normal" travel agent, a guest would go through them to see how much is left to pay, I guess.
  15. If you're on the narrow part of the balcony, the bridge can't see you but your neighbors (16047/16028) probably can. On the flip side, you can look into way more balconies and hot tubs than can see yours.
  16. They are the same. Port and Starboard mirror each other. You can fit 2 people. It fills like a bathtub. You control the temperature with the hot and cold knobs. Whatever you want. The table is large enough to seat 6 people. Tell your butler or concierge which one that you want. He/She can reserve any available one and mark it as yours for the entire cruise. There is a hallway closet between the bathroom and the living room. You can store several suitcases under the bed. You'll find plenty of places throughout the stateroom to store stuff. There is more than enough storage for a family of 4 to cruise for a month. 😊 Not too bad. We've had breakfast out there on sea days. The bridge can easily see you so be sure to give them a wave. 🖐️
  17. Go to https://www.msccruisesusa.com/ Click on the Head and Shoulders next to the magnifying glass. (Manage Your Booking) Click on "Login" under "WITH YOUR MSC ACCOUNT" Sign in with your Sign in name and Password Click on "Cruise Details" near the top of the page Click on "Payment and price details" near the top/middle of the page Look for "AMOUNT DUE" under "TOTAL PAID"
  18. The ones listed on post #18 are the ones that I don't have. I haven't posted the list with the links to pics/videos. It's still a work in progress....
  19. Hehe, I have that video linked on my list. I could probably guess the ones that I'm missing but I want people to be able to click on their particular stateroom and see it when the list is done. I'll be on Seashore again in a couple of weeks but I doubt that I'll be able to sneak in a few shots. I will bring my list just in case...😉
  20. I guess that you mean 2024. 😁
  21. Seashore and Seascape are basically twins. With either, there are Aurea Suites and Yacht Club Suites that sleep 5.
  22. If it was up to ME, it would be a hard, cut in adamantium, never to be altered, rule that non-YC cannot enter the Yacht Club but it isn't up to me. If too much of the camel enters the tent, it will be for MSC to decide what to do. We guests just have to hope for the best that our experience isn't negatively impacted.
