  1. NCL went all out with the a Thermal Suite. The spa has been moved back to the front of the ship for spectacular views. No bubbles, but hot, steamy salt and fresh water pools.
  2. For an evening smoke, the Prima continues the tradition of the Humidor Cigar Lounge.
  3. The Indulge Food Hall uses an “iPad” based ordering system. The way the food hall is currently configured, it you are at a table, you can order from any food stall. Waiters will deliver your food to your table. And service is really quick. WARNING: If you are at bar seating at a food stall, you can only order from that food stall. You are welcome to walk up to any other food stall and pick up food and take it with you to your seat.
  4. The Birds were not in the Haven on this cruise. The Bird just responds with facts on what really is going on versus unsubstantiated claims like “300 Haven guest travel in packs and show up for every show taking up all of the seats”.
  5. The beautiful 3-story Penrose Atrium. The “chandelier” is nicer than other new ships (specifically the $1M chandelier on the Encore).
  6. First and foremost, Syd’s or the Cavern Club on other ships is not reservable. First Come First Serve.
  7. If you got hair, the Prima has a dryer for you. And brand new! Over the years, we have concluded that the cruise ship hairdryers work good enough and ever carry our own.
  8. For our NoiseBoys show, there were 4 Haven guests escorted into the Prima Theater. For our show of the Donna Summer story, there were 12 escorted in for advance seating. There were no Haven escorts to our comedy show.
  9. We need power! NCL has tried to address the need for power to charge devices. Desktop included 3 US, 1 European, USB and USB-C. The Bird always suggests that from a cybersecurity perspective, people should never ever plug devices into “public” USB ports and always use charger plugs. Bedside. 1 US plug. Now, if you have a big charger cube, the light switch gets in the way. And the nightstands on either side of the bed have standard and C USB plugs. Bathroom - Shavers only. No blow dryers.
  10. No. It has nothing to do with the Haven. They are a tiny part of the passenger population. You know that NCL has not allowed advanced pre-bookings of shows since the restart in August 2021. Entertainment schedules remain fluid. COVID and availability of guest performers continue to influence schedules. And on many ships, the entertainment schedules are finalized a few days prior to departure.
  11. One of the things that The Bird found annoying is that the Whiskey Bar, which is the Atrium Bar on Deck 8, did not have a lot of standard mixers. We got the “Bird, we specialize in fine whiskies, not foo foo drinks”. We wanted to respond “Dude, reality check, you are an Atrium bar”.
  12. @JGmf There is Solier Bar at the back of the ship There are two Hydrate Kiosks on either side of the ship at the Infinity Beaches. There is the Prima Speedway Bar There is the Waves Pool Bar on the pool deck There is the Vibe bar
  13. The Bird can not compete with your amazing photos. Looking forward to seeing them.
  14. Yes on butlers. Some suites are at the opposite end of the ship from the Haven. Don’t know how the concierge works. On the Joy, suites guests (purple cards) ad a separate concierge from the Haven guests (gold cards).
  15. We’re driving to Texas tonight. Best fill ‘er up with premium. And don’t forget to clean the windows,,, all of them.
  16. Have you tried it? We just had several lovely dinners in the Hudson and Commodore Room and found the big menu a breath of fresh air with high quality food and service. Thumbs up 👍 on the new menu and approach to MDR dining.
  17. We were just on the Breakaway, sister to the Getaway. No step into the bathroom from the bedroom No step into the toilet Step into the shower Second bedroom, which I would say is not wheelchair accessible, has a step into the bathroom (look at the door at the end of the room). I don’t have a photo of the actual entrance into the second bathroom shower, but I am 100% sure that there is a step there.
  18. Post-restart, NCL has not had coffee makers in the regular rooms you can request one. Pre-pandemic, they used the Hamilton Beach single cup in steerage with the little round filter pods. And your room steward will provide you as many pods as you need. The coffee maker in the Haven are still the Nespresso.
  19. Everyone’s Wi-Fi was useless. After seeing your photos of the Prima leaving on the VIP cruise, The Bird is anxious to see your onboard photos. It’s been a great week!
  20. The Wi-Fi was down or unusable most of the cruise. I talked to the Wi-Fi manager who said it has been a problem since the shipyard and that they have not resolved it yet,,, the shipyard was a long time ago. The internet is run by a vendor, not NCL.
  21. Yes. There is bulk laundry service for $30. On a 7-night cruise, it is usually on Day 5
  22. Oh No! Say it isn’t so. It’s time to go. The Wi-Fi has been poor to nonexistent for most of the cruise. The Bird talked to the internet manager who said that there have been serious problems since the shipyard which they have not been able to resolve. (Remembering that the Wi-Fi is operated by a 3rd party vendor and not NCL.) It has taken hours and hours to get this content uploaded. And The Bird will upload some additional pictures once back on a good network.
  23. This is totally inaccurate. There are 107 suites. There are 2155 other rooms. Almost all reservations are for non Havem guests.
