  1. Just remember, that there will be times when the terrain will block reception from satellite/wifi access if the ship is in one of the fjords.

  3. It is the same for suites on all small ships (jewel class ship have suites and Haven). This is not unique to the POA (which is a small ship). You only get breakfast and lunch. Both menus are similar to the Haven menus. On the POA, you are in port every day with multiple over-night port calls (where you should take advantage of a luau and other local dining). You won't miss the Haven Restaurant. You're hardly ever in your room.
  4. Post-restart, I have not seen the soap bar or lotion in rooms.
  5. You're "second shift" for the dining room on many ships that share the main dining room with early/late seating. We still make reservations around the same time (7:00-7:15ish) so that we can either sit at the exact same table or at least with the same waiter/assistant waiter. That way, by night 2 or 3, they know our preferences.
  6. So, if Coastal Kitchen is a goal, as soon as you embark, the very first thing you do is use your app to make show reservations. Then immediately head to the restaurant and make reservations around your shows. There may be nights that you can't book (or you can book at the end of service) because suite guests have already reserved tables pre-cruise. Yes, your room key will not provide you access to the Restaurant and you still need to knock. No, you are not suppose to be using the suites lounge.
  7. The Daily Service Charge is your gratuity to the crew who work tirelessly to serve you. Your room steward who has to clean your "big" room, restaurant staff (including in your private restaurant, waiters, cooks, dishwashers), cruise staff (both passenger facing and behind the scenes, etc.). It is not a fee for perks. Other than a butler, you pretty much get what suites get on other ships. And the butler would not be included in the DSC, so you would be expected to tip them separately. If you want a smaller Daily Service Charge, get a smaller room.
  8. No Michelin class restaurants (but neither is palo spaghetti shop). Le Bistro is closer to Remy without the cost.
  9. Buffet, Taste, Savor, The Local Bar and Grill, Observation Lounge, American Diner (a la carte pricing)
  10. These are some pre-pandemic photos starting at Post #3
  11. The cruise line does not wash it for you. There are several options: (1) stateroom sink; (2) stateroom shower; (3) public bathroom sink; (4) washy washy sink at buffet; (5) dip in pool where there is salt water and chlorine. We've done it in all locations except #5 which is eeewww.
  12. Unfortunately, you called too soon. Bidding remains open until 24 hours before departure. Unsuccessful bids will be notified after that point. On our cruise last month, we got our "unsuccessful bid" about 21 hours before sailing.
  13. Our insurance company reimburses 100% of the cost of the eMed proctored kits.
  14. As folks have said, check your earned points at https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/. Perks can be found at https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/cruise-casinos/rewards If you played enough, you'll start getting offers. Now, the casino is probably the place you will find people sailing on casino offers. Pre-pandemic, there were often up to 25% of the adult passengers sailing on a casino offer (Club Royale or land-based casino certificate). Think about that, every 4th cabin sailing on a discounted fare or comp'ed room. We were on a cruise a few weeks ago and it was around 13% of the adult passengers.
  15. Packages and photos start on Post #56 below
  16. It has to fit through a standard xray scanner. Your fellow passengers desire that you do not carry your own luggage, crowding seating areas, struggling down halls and gangways, and once on the ship crowding halls, elevators, and restaurants. Just give it to a porter and make everyone happy.
  17. Example of Nassau Soccer, Scavenger Hunt all over the ship, Laser Tag, Rock Climbing, 3-on-3 basketball. Example of CocoCay Pickleball, Basketball, Soccer, Caribbean Line Dancing, Valley Ball.
  18. Yes. But until a month ago, if you were unvaxxed, you needed to test in order to fly to Hawaii (which is in the US). But, I am sure you knew that.
