  1. It is one of the shows that you have to reserve. Got my Bird name tag and ready to guess the higher price. Will report after the show.
  2. Probably be cool for either. We are sailing at near capacity. Lots of loungers around. But The Bird never recommends the Vibe because it is money that you could better spend elsewhere.
  3. Who is in charge? Captain Gustavsen sang at the Latitudes party. He was actually better than the performer they had there providing music.
  4. Wi-Fi continues to be problematic. Long line of people at the iConnect desk asking for refunds.
  5. Yes. When we first started cruising, you used to have to rent deck chairs. And tip the pool attendant to set up a hard, wooden lounger for you. Hog prevention.
  6. The Wi-Fi on the ship continues to be borderline unusable. No, let’s make that unusable. (Sorry about the dupe posts…)They have restarted the system again, so maybe The Bird can sneak in a couple of posts. From yesterday Good Night
  7. Go to Tee Time to practice your advance putting. This is the most innovative mini golf on any NCL ship. Currently, they are updating the game’s software so rounds are free. Once things are fixed, rounds will be $5 each with the opportunity to win prizes up to a free cruise.
  8. Need some private sun, book a Vibe Beach Club pass. Two (small) infinity pools, a private bar and more!

  10. Want to play a game of darts. The Bullseye has private computer scored dart lounges. $20 for 55 minutes with up to 6 players.
  11. Reservations for all restaurants at nearly all times were available on embarkation. The Bird strongly advises booking dinners 120 days prior to departure or immediately upon embarkation. Restaurants will sell out if you wait too long.
  12. @aubreyc1988 The Ocean Boulevard is interesting. I will post pics later in the cruise. Since the pool deck is itty bitty tiny, a lot of the lounging is now on Ocean Blvd. And the tiny infinity pools (one of which is broken). NCL has turned Ocean Blvd into a replacement sun deck. There is very little under cover seating which is unfortunate. Little covered space to sit and read. And since everything is outside, like the Haven, you are at the mercy of the elements. This makes it usable 25% of the time… to cold, too hot, to sunny, too windy, too rainy. Looks good in marketing, but less in practice. And, now most of the Balcony rooms have no view down at the water… if you thought the roof of the Waterfront was bad, the Blvd sticks way out. The Penrose Atrium is now 3 stories. There is a small stage on deck 6 for live music. You can hear the music on 6 7 8, but only see the performers and dance on deck 6. The food hall food is great. It is really high labor. The order pads are the same as Food Republic and are already charging by the dish (all zero cost for now). Soon….
  13. Yes. Similar to Encore and Bliss with small smoking casino. The main casino is non smoking.
  14. Than you for your thoughts on my thread, Star. 1) that is similar to other ships and is good for the majority of the passengers who are not smokers. 2) The signage on this ship is similar to that on most ships on most lines. 3) Kiosk type stores are common on big NCL ships. Making use of open spaces in main halls. Hint: the cheap stuff is in the halls. 4) As the Captain informed us, traffic in the port was delaying both the Disney Magic and Prima. We left 2 hours late (not 3 hours). wrt shows, that is common on most cruise lines. The comedy shows are in small venues (can’t build two theaters), but the comedians will appear in the main theater. You can always standby for any show.
  15. The Observation Lounge provides beautiful forward facing views on comfy sofas, and day beds.
  16. Sailing solo? Grab a studio cabin and hang out in the studio lounge to make life long friends.
  17. Not exactly sure what the bridge crew saw or if there was some navigation glitch, but during dinner last night, the ship executed an emergency stop and wide turn at our waypoint. everything in the dining room was rattling and shaking.
  18. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow last night, so The Bird’s friend did not have a chance to say Good Night.
  19. Time for a drink? How about a tasting? They even still have the soon-to-be-cancelled cork & caps.
  20. The most important improvement on the Prima is the arrival of mini Freestyle machines for Freestyle Cruising! No clunky RFID cups like the other guys. Just swipe you key card and fill any glass you want!
