  1. Thank you! Yes, it’s a little daunting. I will have to study the London tube and DLR resources to learn as much as I can before we go!
  2. Thank you for your quick answer! I have been looking at rentals in Covent Garden. I’ve found hotels for 3 adults are not very common, so I’ve been looking at Airbnb instead.
  3. Our family is looking forward to our British Isles cruise in June. I am working on our post cruise stay in London. We plan to do traditional tourist activities in London, but also are trying to attend the ABBA Voyage one evening, at our college student’s request. I am trying to figure out the best location to stay in London. Getting to ABBA Arena, which seems to be about an hour away from where we were thinking of staying, seems a bit daunting of a task when we’ve never been to London before. Any tips on where to stay, how to get to the Arena? Should we consider staying close t.o the Arena the night of the show?
  4. Thanks Ken. I will try to check before final payment to see if they’ve opened. This will be the first cruise our daughter is old enough to be in her own room, so I went for it, didn’t want to miss getting to try one of those two rooms.
  5. I wanted one of the corner aft rooms on deck 7. It is a sunset balcony, but the same price as an ocean view balcony. I had to book 3 people in the room to see availability. I added a third person who will be a no show. A trick I learned here on CC. Yes it cost a little more than 2 in a balcony, but it’s worth it to me. And we booked an inside cabin for our daughter a few doors down, and overall it was a great price compared to getting a two room suite, and even better than two balcony rooms. The balcony will be worth it!
  6. We just booked the 8 night northern cities in June ‘25. Is that one of yours? I’m excited to have booked another room with a fantastic balcony!
  7. Thank you! We will have a bungalow at Columbus Cove, so that’s a pretty close location.
  8. I can see pics of the balcony from 2020 on the member site on cruisedeckplans.com, but can’t share them. It looks like one end is more narrow like atypical balcony and it is a little wider at the other end. It has a table and two chairs on it.
  9. I just wish there was a kayak excursion that doesn’t involve going to Paradise Cove and a “village” experience.
  10. We’ve enjoyed mountain coasters in Tennessee, and got them all day passes for it.
  11. They’re 19 and 20. We have the mountain coaster reserved for them. They’d like to do the zip line but I’ve never seen it on the planner. The cruise is about 5 months away. I’m wondering if I missed it, or it hasn’t been listed yet.
  12. That’s disappointing. The only one I see on our cruise planner involves much more than our girls want, including a visit to a village. I’d prefer they just be able to kayak.
  13. Are kayaks available to rent on Labadee without an excursion?
  14. I have no problem with taking care of someone with a medical emergency. I’m just very disappointed with the replacement port, and hoping someone has recommendations of what to do in Freeport.
  15. We don’t even get off the ship in Nassau. We had a bungalow booked in Labadee. Super disappointed to be going to Freeport. I understand the reason for the change. But Labadee was our only port on this short cruise, and we were hoping for a great beach day. Now what do we do?
  16. So we just learned that we are not going to Labadee tomorrow and will be in Freeport instead. We had a medical evacuation just now. What in the world is there to do in Freeport?
  17. We had 4 adults in our suite. My cousin and her husband got the small bedroom, mostly because he is too tall for the bathtub shower in the main bedroom. They also said it was because I did all the planning for the cruise. It worked out well. We hung out in the living room or on the balcony a lot. I'm going to check out your video! We did our first cabin crawl on Oasis. I fell head over heels in love with the 2 bedroom ATS! Got to try to get that one for sure!
  18. We stayed in a two bedroom grand suite on Oasis last week (Feb 2023). It was on deck 12, and has a hot tub on the balcony. Only the two 2-bedroom suites on deck 12 have a hot tub, and cost the same as the other 2 bedroom suites. The room overall was great. The location is good, very close to the aft elevators. The main bedroom is quite big with lots of storage. The second bedroom is very small. It does not have Pullman beds, it only sleeps two. There is hardly six inches between the twin beds. There is a closet, and two more closets to use in the living room. Drawer space is lacking in the second bedroom. There is a vanity area in each bedroom, however the one in the second bedroom doesn’t have a mirror. Odd. There are 3 tvs in the suite. The balcony is huge, extra deep as it is on the hump. It has the hot tub, a large dining table for 6, and two padded chaise loungers. Biggest con, you can hear people in the adjoining suite through the connecting door. This didn’t bother us much. Great room, I would book again!
  19. Just there last week and didn’t see any jellyfish. We were at the Coco Beach Club
  20. I went ahead and booked it while we were on Oasis last week. It’s such a tricky category, the NextCruise staff don’t even know what to do with it. One said we had to pay the full $450pp deposit but would get $600 OBC. When we went through with the booking with someone else, it ended up being only $200 OBC but also only $100pp deposit. We’re going to give the room a try. The set up is ideal for traveling with our college student daughter and her friend. The girls get their privacy, and we can still spend time together comfortably. Plus we all get suite benefits and it hardly cost more than our separate rooms.
  21. We just did the reverse. Flew into FLL and sailed out of Miami. We use Lyft and Uber. I think I paid about $90 including tip, for four adults and a lot of luggage in a Lyft XL. Bonus… I get Amex points when I use Lyft.
  22. We have gone over a couple scenarios like that... really don't want her to be in a room by herself. Even looked at connecting balcony rooms. The prices have gone up so much since we booked, except with the 2 bedroom suite without a balcony, that it doesn't make sense to go down. We're still considering all options though. She originally had a roommate. But her friend's dad has decided he can't go, and it's causing us to try to reconfigure who is where. Going from 3 rooms to 2 will pretty much affect everyone in one way or another.
  23. I live in Michigan... we are quite used to experiencing all 4 seasons in one day, so we are pretty flexible. Thanks!
  24. Thank you for your input! I know it's 90% guessing at this point. I'm facing the tough choice of either sharing a junior suite with my husband and almost 21 year old daughter, and having a balcony; or going full suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but no balcony. I'm just going to have to figure out which is more important, a little privacy and space for everyone, or a balcony. It's a 12 night cruise, so that's a lot of time to get on each other's nerves lol.
