  1. We are also newbies and will be on Grandeur next spring. I hope you enjoy your cruise...especially with dry January behind you! Following with great interest!
  2. Ok well I guess I can put this topic to bed. I’m happy to report that my TA and I had a three-way call with the shoreside Retreat host (again, thank you @RichYak) and the final word is that specialties ARE included. When asked why it’s not indicated in the suite inclusions shown in post 6 the host said that the exception is with the Reflection ship only. This was our third call to Celebrity regarding this issue. I’m finally comfortably convinced.
  3. Just went through this whole publication. It's definitely for 2024-2025. Thank you for posting. Just sent the pertinent pages over to my TA. So now it's frustrating that I not only cannot count on Celebrity's website for accurate and up to date information, but the Celebrity reps (not all) are just as out of touch with changes...SMH. I'm still going to call the Retreat line but the table in this link is pretty clear and in line with what another poster was told at the cruise next desk. Again, thank you!
  4. Are you saying the brochure in post 6 is not current? or the one posted in your reference in post 4? I will definitely as for her to get an updated one. Thank you!
  5. The cruise is in July and my TA spoke with the rep for the second time just yesterday. I haven't received anything in writing...not sure if that would come to me or my TA....or if they really do that anyway.
  6. Excellent points, Dr. Pam! Thank you. I think I'm going to take @Alakegirl's approach to wait and see and @RichYak's suggestion of calling the Retreat directly. I think the extra space of this suite is nice but the real appeal was the included specialties. I could upgrade us to the RS and all of this would be a non-issue but I just can justify $7k for a 4 night cruise. The Signature suite is listed at $2K pp for 4 nights...which is still pricey for 4 nights but I wanted to treat DM to something special. Worst case, I will down-grade us to a Celebrity suite and just pay the money for the specialties.
  7. Not surprised at all that you'd come up with such a great suggestion! Thank you! Do you think they will speak with me directly or will my TA need to call?
  8. I have a fantastic TA who has jumped through all kinds of hoops to get me accurate information...but if there's anything that I've learned over the last year is that information on Celebrity's website is fluid, in addition to changes to perks and amenities. So here's the deal: I booked a 4 night mother-daughter getaway on Reflection. The prices were fairly reasonable and so I snagged a Signature suite because the website says that specialty dining and bar set up (like Royal suites and above) are included. Great! I wanted DM to experience all the specialties because she's never sailed with Celebrity. I stumbled upon a thread from early January, 2024 where someone was asking if they would get the Signature suite benefits if they win a move up bid. A poster chimed in to say that the rep at the future cruise desk said that beginning in 2024 those perks were going to be dropped from the Signature suite. So I reached out to my TA and asked them to inquire about the amenities. The rep on the phone said the perks are still included. Ok, fine. But I still wasn't convinced so I went to Celebrity's website and read the individual, bullet point description, side by side with the Signature suite vs Royal suite. Sure enough, the RS description is explicit in that it includes specialties and bar set up. The only place that it says Signature suites get unlimited specialty dining and bar set up is in the general description (on a different page)...it's left out of the detailed description. I've added a screen shot of the side-by-side comparison. So I reached out to my TA again and told her what I found and indicated that unless Celebrity was able to put it into writing that we would receive those benefits on our sailing, I wanted to down-grade. She called Celebrity again and shared my side-by-side comparison with the rep. She was again told that it was just the wording on the website but that the perks WERE included with the Signature suite and they would put it in writing...I don't have that yet. My TA has called twice, I've emailed the Executive Office for clarification (no response yet)...I'm still not convinced. Anyone here currently in a Signature suite or have been in one since January, 2024 who can attest to the actual perks of that suite? Sorry for the long post...I'm exhausted just typing it! 😳. Any help or insight is appreciated. Edited 17 hours ago by Georgia_Peaches

  10. Thanks for the reply. So glad to learn that you had a great time. Sounds like an awesome cruise! I have reached out to my TA about the rumor and she called and spoke with a rep who said there were no changes to the perks listed on the website. I also have an email inquiry into the executive office as well. If nothing else, I'd at least like to have something in writing...can't hurt!
  11. @ken987 was wondering how your cruise was and did you actually get the specialty dining and bar set up perks? I just read in another thread that these no longer come with the Signature suite whether you book outright or win an upgrade. I just booked this category and I'm trying to ascertain if this is true...no word from my TA as of yet.
  12. Just came across this thread and very appreciative of this timely information. I just (this week) booked this room for a short cruise in July based on the information on the website. Now that I'm booked, the description goes from what's already been posted above to "complimentary lunch and dinner in a variety of restaurants around the ship". I've asked my TA to look into this further and if the specialty dining is no longer a perk, we will downgrade. I only booked the room bc I wanted my DM, who has never sailed Celebrity to experience the varied specialties on Reflection. Is there a way to force Celebrity to honor what they are advertising?
  13. Very disappointing indeed. I won’t fly American..no way, no how. United Polaris is fine but we prefer Delta One. As we have never sailed Regent I’m not sure how the air credit works. As of now, we have air included in our 2025 cruise but if we decide to drop the air and book on our own, how would we go about doing this? And can it be done at any time thereby reducing our overall final payment?
  14. Following with great interest! Will be taking Dear Mother on her first Celebrity cruise on board Reflection a little later this year! Love this ship for the extra specialty dining venues. Hope you have a fabulous cruise!
  15. If the CC search function is found to be overwhelming by some, they could always pose their question on Google and then click on the relevant links that pop up on CC…with the dates clearly visible. I did this yesterday: in Google I typed: Do Celebrity signature suites get the same perks as the Royal and Penthouse suites? A wealth of info popped up…mostly all from CC and it was also dated.
  16. E class offers specialty burgers, chicken wings, steaks, bbq, Definitely a similar concept to Lawn Club with a crossover item or two but the menus are different.
  17. Side note. Has anyone received their win/loss statement yet? I applied for one. Haven’t received it yet. Does it come by email or post?
  18. As it was my first time with this process, this is very helpful. I will know better how to navigate through this in the future! Thank you, Spif!
  19. I will call just for my own peace of mind and to confirm that the air is paid. I don't want to risk messing anything up by cancelling...too many things that can go wrong. On the positive side, the air fare was a far better price than if I booked outright...so there's that. ☺️
  20. Yes, this seems more likely as I did enter my CC info (obviously) but I assumed (my mistake) that this was for auto pay upon final payment date. However, I do remember telling DH to remind me to log in on final payment day to pay for flights. Will call TA tomorrow. I get so annoyed when I think something is working one way and it turns out another...
  21. Thank you, I will look in to this but I think I recall that when I booked, it said it was refundable up to the time of cancellation. Would there have been a flag or notation on the flight that would have said otherwise? Also, we've already selected our seats. Would this trigger payment?
  22. On January 12th, I booked air travel for our late May Alaska cruise via FBC. Final payment for the cruise is March but the cost of the airfare has already hit my credit card. I thought I had until final payment to pay for the flight portion of the trip...I booked using a TA...does that make a difference? Anything I should do at this point?
  23. Happy birthday! Can’t think of a better way to celebrate than on the beautiful Ascent. I am looking forward to reading about your impressions of the ship and your overall experience. Have a wonderful cruise!
  24. We like Celebrity too and gave MSC a try back in 2022. We sailed YC and really enjoyed the experience. The ship itself is a lot of fun, very blingy, lively...lots to do...and then at the end of the day, we escaped back to the quiet of the YC. We enjoy both lines for different reasons but I wouldn't book with MSC in any category except YC.
  25. Well said...I completely agree! PS...You've really seen tupperware...oh my 🤦‍♀️.
