  1. You won't really need Australian dollars. Every place took a credit card and a lot of places did not accept cash. I don't remember that being an issue. My wife's checked bag was always close to the 50# limit and it wasn't a problem for that JetStar flight.
  2. Qantas was the carrier for all legs of the of the ground itinerary. The one exception was we flew JetStar between Cairns and our return back to Sydney. Not sure why we did that other than the timing of the flight options may have worked better than what Qantas was offering on that day.
  3. The guides had tickets for the whole group. They did make sure that we sat by our traveling partner. There were probably about 40 of us on the land tour so if somehow you or your traveling partner didn’t get an aisle seat, you could probably have one of your new “friends” give you theirs. We did have someone that had limited mobility and the guides did make sure they got a seat and assistance on and off the plane accordingly. For some of the airports that were small once you got off the plane you had to walk a distance to get to the terminal.
  4. I remember the carry on suitcase couldn't be more than 15 pounds (yes, they actually do weigh carry-ons). I don't remember the exact dimensions, but that picture above is probably fairly accurate.
  5. Happy to answer any questions from my experience in January. For the flights between cities in Australia, we were allowed to take one checked bag and one carry on bag. We also left a suitcase at the hotel in Sydney that was held during the entire time of the land tour.
  6. I have brought my laptop on several cruises since I had a few Zoom work meetings that I couldn't avoid during vacations. I didn't have any problems using a VPN. There some times it was a slow connection so I turned off video, but never had an issue logging in through a VPN.
  7. I think DuVaul is on every email talking about your upcoming cruise. Same with Commodore Nash. I have got those emails and DuVaul wasn’t my Cruise Director and Commodore Nash wasn’t the Captain.
  8. I see it is the same with the Caribbean Princess and the Emerald Princess.
  9. I have been on the Caribbean Princess three times and love the ship. I have booked the Caribbean Princess for the 16 day Iceland and Greenland in July 2024. With all the sea days, I personally wish a different Princess ship was doing that itinerary since the Caribbean Princess does not have a covered pool so I'm sure it will be quite chilly on the Lido deck. We will probably use the hot tubs, but I'm guessing the pools will be pretty cold.
  10. Every single upcoming cruise on the Caribbean Princess is showing "Pricing Not Available" even my Iceland and Greenland one in July 2024. However, that cruise is still showing up in my cruise personalizer.
  11. I had a guarantee on my upcoming cruise on the Enchanted Princess in June and got it about 25 days beforehand.
  12. According to Kevin Tugwell’s Instagram he is on the Majestic Princess and takes over for Kristoff after the current cruise ends.
  13. She is scheduled to do a Transatlantic on November 10th, 2024 to Ft. Lauderdale, but nothing after that. They haven't announced the 2024/2025 South America schedule yet. Maybe the Caribbean Princess will be doing those itineraries for the season. Hoping it stays in the fleet.
  14. It was regular commercial planes. You were able to have one checked bag and one carryon bag. At most of the airports, we were at the group area for Qantas where we dropped off our bags and got our airline tickets. At the smaller airports, we checked our bag and got our ticket at the counter. Even then, most of the time our guides tried to get our tickets ahead of time and handed them out so we didn't have to stand in the general public line.
  15. There was usually one additional meal included each day besides breakfast. It was often lunch, but we had a couple of dinners included on the trip. The Uluru sunrise tour was spectacular. You did have to get up early to get there before the sunrise. You will want to get netting for your face/head, but there will be a stop at a gas station to purchase those. We also had a sunset tour of Uluru the night before, which was also nice and included food and drinks. Attached is a picture I took of Uluru at sunrise. The evening leisure days usually encompassed exploring the city we were in and finding a nice place to eat dinner. Since it was also pretty hot, we did spend some time in the pool at the various hotels in the evening.
  16. Our U.S. carryon luggage was permitted on all flights. Unlike the U.S. they weighed the carryon luggage and it had to weigh less than 7KG(?). All of our interior flights were on Qantas except for Cairns to Sydney we flew on WestJet. You did have to check and retrieve your checked bag, but then you just gave it to the porters that they had arranged and they made sure it got on the bus. The total group size was about 50-60 people, but they broke it up into two groups that each had their individual tour guide and bus.
  17. The weather was great. We missed the rain by about a week. We were told there was several days of rain in Australia the week before. We only had rain briefly in Cairns on the way to the Great Barrier Reef, but it was sunny and nice by the time we got there. Our cruise was from Sydney to Auckland. Auckland had horrible flooding and record rainfall a few days before we arrived. International flights had just resumed the morning that we arrived.
  18. We did the Ultimate Australia land tour in January 2023 before getting on the Majestic Princess for an Australia and New Zealand cruise. It was fantastic.
  19. I have also been wondering what the plan is for the Coral since it isn’t doing the 2025 World Cruise.
  20. Here is a press release on 2024/2025 Australia and New Zealand schedule. What’s interesting is that the Crown is doing the world tour so what does that mean for the Coral Princess? https://cruisepassenger.com.au/news/princess-reveal-2024-25-sailings-include-the-biggest-ever-world-cruise-from-australia/
  21. Thursday’s webinar said two ships. The Emerald from Boston and the Enchanted from New York.
  22. I'm looking forward to finding out what the itineraries will be for those cruises. Hopefully, they will get released relatively soon.
  23. Supposedly, they go on sale on February 15th. Has anyone seen them yet?
