I often travel solo and can’t make the math work. I don’t drink coffee so no value in Starbucks. No value with the extra excursion credit. I already get 4 FAS meals, and that is enough. I only end up using the wi-fi upgrade and it is less expensive to jus buy that.. it is a good value if you have more than one person traveling, drink coffee, and don’t have 4 meals already.

The odds of your bag being lost are tiny. Maybe 1 or 2 chances out of 6 or 7 thousand bags.

A duffel style bag will fit nicely, though security may not be happy with you because it is so long. 🙂

It is really very simple and you are doing your best to complicate things. There is no need or reason to give any crew member any tips. It is very simple. If you want to, have at it, but there is no need, expectation, or benefit in doing so, and in spite of what others claim you don’t get any better service if you add an additional tip or not. Don’t over think things. BTW your OSC and gratuities are so high because your cruise is so long. If you want them to be less, take a shorter cruise.

Don’t assume that any crew member gets any part of the OSC. They re paid a salary and where it comes from no one knows.
