  1. No, X will “move up” the Opp’s current booking, which is for 2. If they then want to make it 4, they have to call X / contact their TA, and pay whatever the 3 & 4 price is at that time.
  2. Celebrity would charge you the 3rd and 4th person fee.
  3. I couldn’t agree more. It’s such a small ask. Yet so many are waiting for the testing requirement to be dropped. And when I ask “Why?” they say “Because I fear I won’t be allowed on the ship!”. So you’d rather board Covid-positive and infect everyone else?! Bizarre.
  4. In fairness, I prefer balanced reviews that highlight the great, the good, the not so good and the bad. But this post is just a rant. “How to survive Seabourn”… seriously? Talk about first world problems…
  5. Why are they the best guests? They are the highest paying guests, but the only person labeling them the best guests seems to be you. The name of the dinner refers to the food and the wine. Every menu in every restaurant on the ship is carefully created by the head office, leaving no room for onboard chefs to do their own thing, except for the “best of the best” dinner, where the on board Executive Chef is challenged to design a menu from scratch, and serve his/her very best. The Chefs love it; it’s their only real opportunity to do what they love.
  6. Tough one. We haven’t been back yet since the start of the pandemic, but December is approaching fast, and we’re very much looking forward to sailing Seabourn again. We do not expect everything to be the same as pre-Covid, however, we are getting tired of companies charging top dollar for a 5* product while delivering a 3* service “due Covid”. It’s just not an excuse. Friends convinced us to join them on Celebrity Apex in Suite Class recently, and the service, the food, the whole experience was simply outstanding… so it can be done… even in today’s world. Floris
  7. Hello stranger 🙂 Long time no see! Being a Dutchie and traveling through the airport regularly, it truly depends on the time of the day. Mornings are the worst. Evenings are a breeze. Business class / priority is generally OK (<1 hour), but the regular queue can take more then 3 hours…
  8. It’s a global problem. I flew into JFK on Saturday and it took me 3 hours and 15 minutes to get my passport checked. Even the queue for American passport holders was over 90 minutes. I missed my connection, and was very happy I took carry on luggage only…
