This issue has been an ongoing discussion since the Joy came to New York. As we are also in a non-Haven suite for an upcoming cruise, I have communicated with K Byrd's office a few times over the last couple of months. As Mking8288 stated, NCL is well aware of the situation and have stated they are trying to fix it, but, unfortunately, to no avail. However, I would definitely e-mail her office. There was another poster a few weeks back, Mike A, that gave a detailed account of how he handled it and we plan on taking his advice and handling it the same way.

We chose to eat at the American Diner instead of Haven also for this same reason. And the mozzarella sticks made our decision the right one for us and we would do it again.

No, the BF would be happy sleeping in a life boat--he is very appreciative and even has offered to pay his way several times. The $818 would be the going rate for him to stay in our cabin---as a fifth passenger in a two bedroom suite. I could add him to our cabin and cancel his solo cabin which would actually save us money. But we decided to keep him in the solo cabin as we are also traveling with extended family and half of them will not be staying in the Haven either.

It was actually $818.20 as a fifth passenger. This would have been in addition to what we paid for the studio cabin we have booked for him.

I posted this same question a couple months back. I was advised this is something that used to be allowed and that perhaps a good travel agent or PCC could get around it. So, I tried and was unsuccessful. In my case,, we have a two bedroom suite on the Epic and I wanted to add my daughter's boyfriend as a fifth in addition to the solo suite I have booked for him. It would of cost me about $1000 more and I even stressed the additional revenue NCL would be receiving.

Agree with Cole, I would go with the Getaway even though I also prefer the Gem itinerary.

We were on the Escape and ate in the Manhattan Room on New Year's Eve and there was not a special menu.

Also would like to know if the 10% will still apply if the price goes down and you get a price reduction before final payment.

I read the private taxi to the Marriott is $20 for four passengers one way. Do you know how much an additional passenger will cost as we are five?

We once cruised Christmas break on the Escape and there were around 2,000 kids. Never again. Thankfully, we had Vibe passes.

Agree with Keith, not true for us. For us, the best part of Haven was the restaurant. On our upcoming cruise, we decided the restaurant was not worth the $2500 more. We even cancelled our bid to upgrade once we secured Vibe passes last month. We have a non-Haven suite, vibe passes and some specialty restaurants booked, so we are good to go.

Great deal! We leave in less than three weeks on the five day Joy and would also switch if we could.

We did by accident this past February. We packed a few bottles to use the day before in Miami, but did not use them as our hotel gave us bottled water. Totally forgot about them until I unpacked our suitcases when we got to our cabin.

I am a little confused about the 90%FFC credit since you are cancelling because you want to go on another cruise instead. I did not think this was an option.

Thank you. On our Southern cruise, this really is the only port where we plan on just walking around instead of doing an excursion. It was added to our itinerary last month in place of Bonaire.

Is the port mall before you reach the tunnel, or do you have to go through the tunnel to get there?

It is definitely about the 100% FCC, but not 100% sure about the airfare. I remember that a lot of people suggested NCL ask for volunteers to cancel as they would be willing for the 100% FCC. We thought the same thing as we had a POA booked for March 2023 but switched to another itinerary.
