  1. We have had a table for 12 many times arranged through group dining beforehand.
  2. I have and, unfortunately, I do not have 100% confidence in my PCCs answer. So I thought I would see if anyone here has any recent experience.
  3. We have six cabins booked for a 2024 cruise and were just approved as a group to receive the 15% discount because we are so far out. When booking with a group rate, are you locked into the discounted rate and cabin? Does anyone know if you are still eligible for price reductions before final payment? Are you able to upgrade your cabin yourself and keep the discounted percentage?
  4. In my case it worked to their benefit. We received almost $1000 in FCC for a price reduction within the final payment phase. We had no plan whatsoever to cruise again within the 12 months as we have/had other travel commitments. Then I realized after we got back from our cruise, that maybe we can use it for a cheap New York last minute sailing since we live out on Long Island and would not need airfare and hotel. Now we are a few weeks away from sailing, I am spending an additional $4000 on a suite, Vibe tickets, etc--just to use the $1000 FCC.
  5. I understood that; however, I read your post as if your PCC did not even try to see if you qualify. My theory is it never hurts to double check through another source, especially when it comes to possibly saving money.
  6. I would call NCL directly and inquire. NCL has been giving FCC for price drops if the promotions are the same with original booking. This FCC needs to be used within one year of sail day. We received almost $1000 FCC from our last cruise with a price drop a few weeks before sailing.
  7. Agree. When we book it, it is for the bathroom and not the "perks".
  8. Completely agree. I cannot go back to a small bathroom. Yesterday we had to change our cabin category (had club suite with large balcony) to qualify for a group rate for a 2024 cruise. Unfortunately, the club suites with large balconies do not qualify. I said I would give up the large balcony, but I would not give up the larger bathroom.
  9. Totally agree. We are also in this same cabin category next March on the Epic and I know my two young adult children would be fighting over who "wins" the balcony cabin for sleeping only. I also tried to book an additional cabin for sleeping purposes for a potential fifth passenger and was not permitted.
  10. Thank you. It will just be my husband and I this time around so we would want the regular umbrella. What time did you get there that they were out of umbrellas? And did you take a taxi, bus or mini bus--sorry for so many questions, I am just trying to get up to date information!
  11. Do they still offer the two chairs and umbrella option? Or is it now a "tent"?
  12. Looking forward to reading about your cruise. Enjoy and thank you for taking us along. We travel sometimes with my dad who is in mid 80's and I can relate.
  13. Thank you for the update and have an wonderful cruise!
  14. I do think it depends on how crowded the terminal is when you get there. Also it also priority embarkation, not just priority checkin, which gets you on the ship earlier.
  15. Again, yes. We have a non-Haven Suite booked on an upcoming Joy cruise and will be receiving two points a night (plus two bonus points a night due to the promotion when we booked). But definitely a "no" for the club balcony suites. I believe the OP is in a non-Haven Family Suite which would be a "yes".
  16. I reprice the cruises I currently have booked every morning while drinking my morning coffee. Sometimes there is a price reduction even without the promotion changing.
  17. I did not know this tip. When we were in the Haven this past February, we did have our desserts sent to our cabin a few nights and really enjoyed eating them on our balcony. But now, I will definitely inquire on our next sailing as we will be in a non-Haven Suite--going Haven-Lite.
  18. As a Joy suite passenger, it does come with priority embarkation. However, as past NYC passengers have stated, the terminal employees are not acknowledging it. NCL is well aware of the issue and said they were trying to "fix" the situation. I have not read any recent updates, so maybe things have gotten better. When we sail as a suite passenger in September, I will take Mike A's above advise and keep showing the priority marked on my boarding pass.
  19. And in my husband's and I opinion, it is a lot better than the Haven sundeck.
  20. That is a lot of savings. We saved close to $800 on two cruises book for 2024.
  21. When was the last time you were in the Vibe and on what ship? Trying to figure out if it was before or after my last Vibe experience.
