Pre Cruise Covid Test?
The Scurvy Pirate replied to huntr104's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not to be picky, but RC Group sold Azamara in 2021 to the Sycamore Group. MIAMI, March 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL) (the Group) today announced it completed the sale of its Azamara brand to Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm specializing in consumer, retail and distribution investments, in an all-cash transaction for $201 million. The sale included Azamara's three-ship fleet and associated intellectual property. This strategic deal allows the Group to focus on expanding its Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea Cruises brands. -
Pre Cruise Covid Test?
The Scurvy Pirate replied to huntr104's topic in Royal Caribbean International
With my luck, as I cruise 10/01/22, they will end it 10/02/22. Not sure if it is the "appropriate" test, or if they are still doing it, but Miami airport at one time was offering testing through Nomi Health. Casino Royale Prime time period
The Scurvy Pirate replied to colesc15's topic in Royal Caribbean International
1st time prime person. Is it 30% off a single device package or can I get 30% off a multiple device package? In otherwords, can I use the discount to buy a two device package for me and my wife at the "Voom" table once on board? Does Club Royale have a specific benefits printout like they do for C&A levels? -
So disappointed with Royal Caribbean

And will take about as much time to read the 10 pages of comments as the actual show! -
This is for cases filed in the United States. Although incorporated in Liberia, they could still use the US system asserting venue is appropriate under 28 USC §1408 as US/Florida is its principal place of business with its headquarters being in Miami. There is also Chapter 15 that allows foreign corps to use the US system under certain circumstances which incorporates venue through 28 USC §1410.

Be advised that earlier this year the price jumped from $75 to $110 for a dozen roses through Royal Gifts.

I am in no way offering legal advice.... 11 U.S.C. §507(a)(7) provides priority status to claims up to $3,025 "arising from the deposit, before the commencement of the case, of money in connection with the purchase, lease, or rental of property, or the purchase or services, for the personal, family, or household use of such individuals, that were not delivered or provided."

Pre cruise covid questionnaire
The Scurvy Pirate replied to FamilyCruiserUK's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I had filled out the following link and now my "cruise reservation receipt" shows "vaccinated - yes" in the special services section. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/vaccination-form Maybe this is what they were referring to (?). I don't cruise until October so don't know if it will ulimately make any difference on the app. -
Royal Screwed Up So I was Downgraded

Can you at least put your self alone in one of the rooms to get double points for yourself, which then indirectly transfer to your spouse and children? -
In reverse where my wife told me to buy Google early on and I didn't. She plays that card all the time....

I try to book as soon as they come out, usually JS. That way you have a wider choice of rooms to select, expecially if you like specific types like aft or hump rooms. I try to monitor the prices a couple of times a week. I've found at least for JS the prices remained relatively stable between a couple of price points depending on the "sale" taking place, but do trend higher as you get closer to the sail date. But, if you are dilgent, you can catch a deal every now and then. A couple of years ago, about on Oasis they had a GS for less than JS, so I quickly called RCI and changed rooms. I have found that in looking at interior, window and balcony, there can be more significant price fluctuations. For example, for a cruise this october, last week the guaranteed balcony was $1,276. Today it is $745. There was no change to the JS price....go figure...

Cruising during Hurricane Season?
The Scurvy Pirate replied to huntr104's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I actually prefer to cruise in October as the prices tend to be lower (in my experience). We only had one "close" call when we skirted Hurricane Michael in 2018. The Allure was a little rough for one night as we sped right on its edges as it was building in the Gulf. In 10+ October cruises we have never missed a port (of course I probably just cursed it for this year) or anything. As others have said, your cruise could be affected, so be mindful that ports could change, but your on vacation so no worries.... -

RCI Payment Issues
The Scurvy Pirate replied to HealthCraig's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Just happened to me this morning. Paid the balance due on the cruise. Did a screen shot and print out of the screen that said it was paid in full. I believe I made a mistake in that after payment I went to check the guest information. I noticed that the phone number was wrong (it was saying I was from vietnam) so I corrected the phone number. I then went to my e-mail to look for the paid in full receipt and shockingly got one that said I still had a balance due of over double the amount. In looking at the new receipt all of the various "discounts" had been removed. I got through to RCI pretty quickly and it has been escalated to resolutions to fix it. Luckily, I paid in full two weeks out so hopefully it will be resolved before the payment deadline. Quick update. Within two minutes of posting this, RCI had emailed me the paid in full receipt, so all is good. They simply changed the cruise fare to make the numbers work, without re-inputting the various discounts. Still very strange. -

The Scurvy Pirate replied to Surfguyxxx's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I have a cruise on Harmony 10/15/23. Some of the planner items started showing up 5/6/22. Still no excursions or multi voom packages yet.
