My husband is as much of a large case packer as I am. His shoes are huge, so even if he only brings a pair of dress shoes and a pair of sandals they take up a lot of room. His clothes take up a lot of room and even his snorkel mask is big. So even with less items his bag is as full as mine.

I am not really sure. Maybe it is a cultured granite? He had a computer program that showed the veining in each slab which was different for each, and how each counter piece will be laid out. He could move the pieces around to capture most of the veining and have everything run the same way. It will use most of 2 slabs to get all the pieces. I have a table made from a marble slab that my parents got from Marble Colorado. I still remember going with them to pick it out.

I don't over pack, I pack what I want and need for a trip. It will not fit in a carry on. I have a lovely suitcase that rolls well from the car to the ship or the car to the hotel. I don't do laundry or want to wash and dry anything other then my swimsuits. I want all my products that I use at home although I do put some in smaller bottles. For warm weather cruises we bring our snorkel masks and for cold weather cruises we bring a lot of outerwear. We usually can get by with two large suitcases and a carry on for me and a back pack for my husband. For our Alaskan cruise tour we had three large cases plus back packs.

The jacket and pants were from LL Bean. The long undies from Lands End. The boots were Ariats from tractor supply.

When we were in Ketchikan it was a cold steady rain all day. I had a 3 in 1 jacket, hiking boots and waterproof pants over my jeans. I also had long underwear on. We spent the day at one of the totem pole parks and all day I stayed dry and warm. The jacket could be a rain coat or a warm jacket or both. The boots had been sprayed with water proof spray and the pants fit well over my pants. I would have been miserable if I had gotten wet or cold.
