  1. IMO Denali National Park is truly a "Special" place. The size of it, the beauty if just amazing. Glad you got to see "the mountain" as most of the time it is cloud covered. This is a great review so far and a very good example of a two thumbs up ship land tour! Looking forward to following along as you board the ship for your cruise part of your adventure.
  2. When we did our land tour in Denali we took the bus all the way 92 miles into the park and we stayed 2 nights at Kantishna Roadhouse Cabins. All excursions were included and let me tell you the bugs were out in full force in August and the mosquitos were big and biting, I felt blessed to have my mosquito netting on under my hat! Bugs may have changed over the years, but I would be surprised if it was for less bugs.
  3. Worth purchasing a mosquito head net if going to Denali. I got mine years ago at Tractor Supply, best $1 I ever spent...still have it today.
  4. @BennyBrun...about how much precruise research time did you spend for this particular cruise?
  5. @Saint Greg...how are you feeling, are you back in your office this week?
  6. Spirit class of ship is my all time FAVORITE class of Carnival ships!
  7. OMG just had this exact same thing happen in our household! I feel your pain 🙂
  8. @BennyBrun...your pictures are amazing and what wonderful memories you are creating!
  9. @Sid_9169....how did the guys at work like the gifts your brought them oh and the booze!
  10. @sid_9169...I seriously believe you need to do some soul searching when you are out walking daily and consider starting a You Tube channel. Stop and think about it...you have lots of followers here on CC and people use You Tube for research on cruising and traveling, your pre cruise Miami jaunts. It may take some time to build subscribers but I follow folks who are now making a full time living off what they make a month of You Tube. You have the talents, even if the postings at the beginning are nothing more than pics put together from your phone, it is a start! You Tube is where folks can "donate" and you could probably drink "free" on your cruises. I don't know if you spend any time on You Tube but it would be a fantastic side hussle for you and keep you occupied in the evenings and your mind busy!
  11. @BennyBrun...for what it is worth, if the buses are crowded are folks wearing masks? I follow several other reviews and it seems like there is a rash outbreak of C on cruises and some are saying it is from crowded buses, long flights, airports, no masks etc. 32% of cruisers returning from Alaskan cruises have come down with Covid. Stay safe!
  12. Noticing the same thing here on land on the east coast in New Hampshire.....very few with masks and no social distancing and lots and lots of people everywhere. Call me crazy, but I am ok with that, I am still careful and often wear a mask in a store, as it is my choice not to be "jabbed". I'm of the age where my health is more important to me than my appearance!
  13. @Saint Greg....I find it interesting that it appears that it is Alaska sailings that are being hit with Covid. I am following several other reviews and very few cases. I wonder if it might be that more folks are staying indoors on the ship whereas Caribbean cruises most are outside. Not too mention it is "jabbed & boosted" folks getting the C.
  14. @BennyBrun...lovely pictures....does not look too busy! Enjoy your B2B excursions!
  15. @Sid_9169....safe flight home....see you over on the TRIBE hopefully!
  16. Your OCD is showing....your encase your dirty laundry in garbage bags so as to keep the inside of your suitcase clean, surprised you don't carry a garbage bag with you to sit on in the filthy taxi cab.....ah I put an idea into your head......ENJOY your day in Miami, I have no doubts you will make the most of every second!
  17. May I suggest when you get home and are back to work, when you lay your head on your pillow at night that your brain reminisce about this awesome B2B cruise, you will sleep like a baby!
  18. @Sid_9169....look at the food thing this way.....if you ate like you are eating on Virgina 24/7 you would not keep your fabulous mid life svelt figure! It's been a fabulous review, one of your best, so glad you were able to get out and have some fun and enjoy yourself. Yes we have missed you over on the TRIBE, but I'll take a Sid review anyday!
  19. Paradise Beach is our "go to" when in Cozumel. We've done Nachi and we still prefer Paradise as our #1 go to....they have made wonderful improvements over the years. You can have beach and pool and the drinks and food are good! I hope the taxi drivers are better these days, sometimes the ride there can be a little "unsettling on the tummy"....they are pretty agressive drivers.
