  1. Thank you, I have been reading a lot of negatives on the dining room and Lido food.
  2. Java Blue has awesome coffee, much better than what is served on Lido or elsewhere.
  3. @Saint Greg....would you please share with us your overall opinion of the quality of the food you have experienced this week on Carnival Magic.
  4. @Saint Greg...this has been an awesome review....enjoy your final day onboard!
  5. One of our first visits to GT, way before the commercialization, we purchased two stained glass plates that were made locally. We still have them today and they are proudly displayed hanging in our RV. Once the commercialization took over on GT lots of the local items vanished, sad for sure.
  6. That is really sad about the poor service at Jack's Shack, but unfortunately I think it is more the "norm" in today's society. Workers today do not seem to have the same work ethic that we "mature" older adults had when working. The water down there is definitely much nicer than closer to the ships and so very relaxing!
  7. @Saint Greg...while it has been several years, pre Covid since we last visited GT, I remember only too well how water shoes are required. Tough on the footsies without them for sure. I usually wear my trusted Teva sandals. Years ago it used to be if you walked to the right of the pier where the whale statue is there were no beach chairs but this was the BEST snorkeling area and the least crowded. Once Margaritaville opened we visited once and that was enough, way too crowded four our tastes but good people watching for sure and expensive drinks! Hope you are having a great day, the weather looks amazing!
  8. @Saint Greg....does the coffee bar still offer the punch cards for buy so many get one free?
  9. @arctickitty....OMG that hotel room story is a NIGHTMARE....you deserve FULL credit! Apparently the high power upstairs was watching over you and rewarded you with a cabin upgrade on the ship, which I would take over the hellish hotel room! Enjoying following your review. We booked Hawaii for next January on HAL.
  10. @Saint Greg...that tour looks like a winner.....FANTASTIC pictures! Enjoy the rest of your day!
  11. @Saint Greg...from your photos it looks like there were at least 3 ships in port today...busy port day for sure. Have a great evening!
  12. @Saint Greg.....glad you got to see the planes, it is something that is not available in many ports that's for sure. Plus right on the water with bars as well. We are water people so in St Maarten we have gone on private catamaran excursions that have been the BEST excursions ever, but only if you love jumping off a boat into the water and drinking and eating some yummy food. That's the great thing about cruising something for everyone's tastes!
  13. @The-Inside-Cabin....Pete while I am following this world cruise, I also reference your blog as well. I am in awe over the research you conduct as I am similar but not as talented as you! I have utiilized your South Pacific cruise and info you shared there while researching for our FIRST ever cruise to Hawaii next January for 18 days on the Kongsindam. I have found all your information very helpful. Thank you for the time and effort you put into your postings!
  14. @Saint Greg...Happy Valentines Day...enjoy your day in St. Martin!
  15. @sid_9169...contact your credit card company and dispute the hotel charge!
  16. WOW I am surprised they allowed photos. Any Behind The Scenes tours we have done no cameras or phones allowed! Definitely an interesting tour.
  17. That's too much like commitment....just sayin........
  18. I will guess that the chair wear issue is due to the mfg using "bonded fabric".....it is a BIG issue in the furniture industry. Often the furniture mfgs are not aware of the issue because the fabric is ordered in...short cuts by the companies who make the fabric.
  19. @WCB......you are so right there are MANY folks who are not into all the technology in today's world. My mom is one of those folks and I for one feel that folks who are NOT into the technology "thing" are being taken advantage of thru no fault of their own. It is very sad indeed the state of our society in today's world. I could go on and on but will leave it there just wanted you to know you are NOT alone with the frustration over brochures, maps, etc etc.
  20. They need to watch the show on Peacock "Killer cruises".......they might think several times about getting married or honeymooning on a cruise ship!
  21. Praying this "whole new person" shows up at the Tribe back in Atlanta!
