  1. Th excursion du jour was Taormina on Your Own. It included round trip bus transportation and a "guide" that provided minimal instruction or guidance other than what time to be where if you wanted a ride back to the ship. Hence, the "On Your Own" part of the title. We had been to Taormina several times before, so had a good idea of what we wanted to see/do/buy.
  2. Allegedly, and certainly not prevailing rates. Are individual rates higher than group rates? A rhetorical question.
  3. With ships sailing full, they no longer need to give away $10 to earn $11. Better to let everyone pay for cabins. The casinos will still be full, but this time with paying customers.
  4. The saying is the only constant is change. Kowtowing to gamblers will also pass. There is always Margaritaville Lines.
  5. They have had promotions for some time, but Covid brought them to a new level.
  6. Carnival knew if they lowered cruise prices enough, people would cruise even with the plague. Gamblers already expect to lose and were a natural target to get cash flow going. That jump start is no longer needed. Overdue to cut the flotsam loose. Novice cruisers have always been what floats Carnivals boats and than hasn't changed.
  7. No lawyer is going to touch this. Please let us know when she finds one stupid enough to try. Carnival keeps a herd of lawyers employed and regularly updates the ticket contract. Not that long ago, there were many changes incorporated, no doubt from lessons learned.
  8. She would have to get the Carnival contract tossed first. I don't think any lawyer would be desperate enough to try in this case.

  11. Under specific circumstances, none of which exist. In Florida, it would take 40 equally stupid people (or dishonest) to be considered for class action status.
  12. A new level of absurdity. You can't file a class action suit - it takes a judge to grant class action status. She was dumb enough to post sensitive information on the Internet and is now asking others to do the same? Well, there are a lot of stupid people out there
  13. If she was a victim of a crime, why not get law enforcement involved? Why resort to extortion and why keep changing the story?
  14. It was different than when we visited Malta on Carnival Vista...
