  11. Our visit to the Steakhouse on Carnival Miracle last month was wonderful. No complaints about food or service. Even the cheesecake is now right-sized. No, it wasn't my birthday, but seemed disappointed that we weren't celebrating anything so I said it was my birthday. They even threw in a couple of glasses of champagne.

  14. In California, are tips generally based on a percentage of the check or on a per service basis? Does California law limit you to only one server? What happens when multiple people serve you? Do the servers also clean your house?

  16. Smoking continues to decline. Cigar lounges to bypass smoking laws are increasing - for now. Cigar smokers are an even smaller minority than smokers in general. Smoking has not become less offensive.

  19. We were on the first two sailings of Carnival Magic (May 1-22, 2011) and they were magical. Tablecloths, fresh made deli sandwiches, porterhouse in the steakhouse, unlimited bacon daily, tasty steaks in the MDR, Ken Byrne, John Heald, etc.
