  1. agree -- what a waste of millions of dollars to create a beautiful space that has this problem.
  2. That's what we'll probably do -- it's just good to know the baseline gratuity that we've already paid (i.e. 18%)
  3. Does the Unlimited Dining Package include the gratuity? If so what is the percentage? Thanks
  4. The area further back near the bar is where I'd sit as i don't want full sun anyway and it's good to be close to the bar. Good to hear that the soot isn't bad in that. I still hope they get the soot issue under control -- it's a shame to have this kind of problem on a new ship.
  5. Hope that there will be much less soot coming out of her stacks. Right now, this soot is all over the suite sun deck and the aquatheater. It ruins clothes.
  6. So it looks like Captain Loy has gone to Icon. It looks like we'll have Captain Hempstead in August.
  7. Icon will be powered by LNG. I wonder whether Utopia will LNG power -- I think I read it somewhere that it would be.
  8. Loved Mama Mia -- we're doing a b2b on Allure when she comes up to Port Canaveral for 3 and 4 night Bahama cruises. we want to catch Mama Mia again.
  9. Agree -- it's such a beautiful space and probably cost lots of $$ to build.
  10. We sail on Wonder in August -- will keep following this thread to see if RCI has fixed the soot problem.
  11. Saw both posts but I still think they will put in an older Oasis Class Ship. Especially judging from prices being charged for Wonder compared to Harmony, which was in Port Canaveral prior to Wonder being homeported there.
  12. Saw the post about Utopia before I posted my question. Do you think that that deployment hole is being left for short Utopia cruises.
  13. Any news or rumors about a ship doing 3-4 night short cruises from Port Canaveral after Allure leaves in July 2024? There is a gap through April of 2025.
  14. Good advice as Izumi is also on Deck 4 where we board. Hope we can get a Hibachi dinner. Indy doesn't have Wonderland unfortunately as we'd love to try it. Are the lines on Indy for Chops and Giovanni's long immediately after boarding? Thanks.
  15. Thanks -- we're boarding early as we're Pinnacles. We have 8:30 pm for our first reservation and I want to get reservations around 7:30 pm or 8 pm.
  16. Thanks -- we're on Indy. We board early so we may go straight to one of the restaurants also. Was the Kiosk crowded?
  17. There is a special line for Suites and Pinnacles in front of the door into the terminal. It usually forms about an 1/2 hour to an hour before the doors open. You get priority check-in and then if the ship is not ready, there is a special waiting area for suites and Pinnacles that they should direct you too. I think they reinstated cookies and water now that Covid retractions have been lifted. Suites and Pinnacles check in and board before "The Key" that is a program that cruisers purchase to get priority check-in and departure other perks. You will also have priority disembarkation with the Concierge leading you off of the ship. Your luggage will be in a special Suite/Pinnacle section.
  18. Does anyone know who will take Captain Henrik Loy's place on Wonder once he moves to Icon?
  19. The Royal Caribbean Blog (royalcaribbeanblog.com) posted an article with short Caribbean/Bahamas sailings. There have been lots of questions on what ship would be sailing the 3 and 4 nighters to Coco Cay and Nassau. This post confirms that Allure of the Seas will sail this itinerary from late April 2024 through through the end of January 2025. I don't see any sailings from Feb. through April. 2025. I wonder when RCI will post these cruises or if another ship will be sailing this itinerary.
  20. And I wonder (bad pun) if Utopia would be more similar to Harmony and Symphony or would it be built like Wonder.
