  1. They were warmly welcomed to the concierge lounge by Ecer and Aziz where they enjoyed a glass of wine.
  2. Stanley and McKinley have added 5 more siblings to their family. They were overjoyed and celebrated all over the ship! of course first stop was to get martini s at vines and introduce themselves to Rizzy. (FYI no martinis were wasted for this photo shoot)
  3. I told him he would be a social media star. He thought that quite funny!
  4. @geoherb these are the only specials I was told about. It’s really hard to tell what I’ve already posted as I can’t get them to actually play. I’m going by #seconds long so hopefully no repeated videos. IMG_8847.MOV
  5. Yes. After well over a 100 days in CC I’ve found this to be true as well. These are specific to the Royal on the current sailing. I rarely travel on the Royal class and so far have found the suite experience overall & CC dining to be much, much better on this ship than any of my previous Grand class and coral class experiences.
  6. Since the CC specials are never written on a menu it’s difficult to find out specifically what they are. I am currently on the second leg of a B2B on the Royal. For the 12 day leg I just completed I recorded my wonderful waiter Aguilar explaining the CC specials. With his permission I will try and post them. I’m still on ship WiFi so I’ll do them one at a time. My apologies if this fails. I’ll come back and add them when on cellular if they won’t load now. FWIW most nights I ordered the special and thought they were very good to excellent. These dishes were different than the regular menu….. not just the same meal with a different sauce. These are in no particular order. IMG_0663.MOV
  7. Excited to start the second leg of their 19 days on the Royal. Heading to Canada and helping the Captain Draper watch for whales.
  8. On the Royal right now. The wine list for plus does not indicate anything other than varietal. You will get what ever cheap wine they brought on board and it might change mid cruise and from bar to bar. I found all the whites to be not to my liking. I have brought on my own at embarkation & at port.
  9. Immigration was easy and fast. Times on the papers didn’t matter. They can’t keep all the officers busy as there’s not enough passengers coming at once. At least not at 8:30. everything on this sailing has been extra special due to the low capacity. It will surely be a stark difference next week when we are 2700 instead of 1600. The 12 day itinerary is just wonderful. I really love it.
  10. Thanks @symuifor posting that for me. It took me by surprise. But I’ve come to find out from my more experienced friend onboard that this always happens at the first US port after being out of country. after 200 days on princess sailing the west coast I’ve always had debarkation port be the first US port after being out of country. Hard to believe. anyway something to consider if you are planning something for early on a morning this happens. My time is 8:30 but my friend’s is 11:45. Although at 42%capacity I’m sure these times won’t matter. sail in from my balcony this morning was outstanding. IMG_9182.MOV
  11. I’m debating if the plus package is needed when we stay in the sky suite for the total eclipse cruise. In addition to the sky suite alcohol and beverages including the nespresso machine in cabin there’s the concierge lounge and our elite mini bar. it seems we will have all the bottled water, good coffee and mixers we need for all the spirits we will be given. I will be carrying on a case of my preferred wines. Can you ask Thor if I’ve missed a reason for needing it? I just don’t see what’s missing. Of course we will pay the auto grats and an extra something for those crew who make our experience exceptional.
  12. Oh nooooooo! Stanley, McKinley and Alaska Stanley are getting ready for the sail away party on their huge balcony. From Cabo with love. We are on the Royal.
  13. I’ve sailed pretty much every month since the restart with the exception of June-august 2022 when kids were out of school. In SF the alcohol table is set up by 11 am and the security folks will point at you and say Go to the alcohol table. on the Ruby I’ve openly brought on gin, whisky and wine when returning from port stop and never been asked to pay corkage or told they’d confiscate it. on the Royal 2 days ago in mazatlan when reboarding there was an alcohol table and there was sn alcohol table. They were going to confiscate my wine. I politely told them I had purchased sn alcohol package and every white wine by the glass gave me a stomach ache. There was absolutely no decent white wine on board by the glass. He looked at me and told me to go ahead. No corkage .
  14. The ship is a bit warm inside. And muggy humid. I consider it point of pride that I am still having a great time. Lol. but seriously I feel hard for the crew and entertainers.
  15. Linda that is a fabulous idea. I will contribute anything I have to those in need on our board. hopefully we will be able to connect as the internet on the ship and CC do not usually work well together.
  16. I’ve seen them filming and I don’t find it intrusive. At the champagne waterfall last night they had them wait until all passengers had done it first. The weather has been crazy nice. Hard to believe it’s all going to get crazy. So far my balcony above the bridge has been usable 24/7. Just a light breeze a juvenile masked boobie is flying above eyeballing my coissant
  17. My opinion of this new plus/premier package stuff is that it has put passengers into a 2 class system. Those on the plus are reduced to beggars asking “can I please have a GOOD glass of wine?” “Can I please have a good wine glass?” We are sent scurrying around from bar to bar. Deck to deck trying to find a decent not even great glass of wine included in our plus package.
