  1. I believe the price is $199 per week. You cannot purchase it on myNCL. You would need to call to purchase it. Thermal spa is different than the Vibe pass. The Vibe pass and the Thermal spa are both limited. But the Vibe pass - you would need to arrive to the terminal early to be in the early group to go on board like group #1 and head straight to the Headliners.

  2. Show times are usually repeated twice a night and on different dates too.

For example, there might be a 7:30 pm show and then later on a 10:30 pm show.

Make your dinner reservations first and if you have to adjust it, do so once on board or when you know the activities.

Not making any reservations - you will lose the chance of eating at a specialty restaurant.

  3. Thank you to both of you! Based on my research I was drawing the same conclusion. We are in Bermda for less time than a typical NCL sailing. We don't arrive until 6:00pm on Wednesday, are in port the full day Thursday, and depart at 3:00pm Friday. So Thursday seems to be our chance to get to St. George's and possibly the caves. Friday, I think we wouldn't want to risk straying too far from the ship and missing a ferry back, so that might be a good option for exploring the Dockyard.

I'm on the same sailing. I'm planning to explore Bermuda on Thursday. It is best to go to St. George's, to Hamilton or to the beach on Thursday and Friday - stay near the dockyard area.

I also planned to do the caves at first, but I dont think so after reading about 80+ steps to go down and then to go back up in a small area, I do not think it would be fun.

  4. If it was me, I do not do it. I rather pay a real professional. There are other options out there: a tour with a real taxis cab / or a tour through a big company. A place/business that already have a lot of reviews and know that it will be safe. If you are going to the Horseshoe Bay, there are mini vans that take passengers for $7 each way from the dockyard.

  5. So very confused.

We have a package which includes four specialty restaurants. Which restaurants can I book?

what about the Tapas restaurant & the Bayamo? Can I book these online?

I also get 2 specialty restaurant being platinum plus can I prebook online in advance too?

Thanks in advance for all replies!

    See: https://www.ncl.com/specialty-dining-package/faq

Tapas & the Bayamo - there's an upcharge added on

Yes, you can prebook online or call the number to reserve. Within 120 days of the cruise, non-Haven can book.

  6. Hi Everyone,

This is my first time booking an NCL cruise. I have been cruising every couple of years or so for the past 20 years across many cruise lines such as Carnival, Royal, and Princess. After having kids, we have been cruising Disney pretty exclusively. My parents and brother's family are joining us for Alaska next summer and we decided to try NCL for the first time on the Bliss!

I have been doing a lot of reading but have a few questions:

    1) I booked 3 rooms (balcony) directly on ncl but then moved the confirmations to a travel agent. I am interested in buying some cruisenext certificates and applying them to our rooms to save some money but is that possible? I don't think there is any way for me to pay anymore on ncl.com and my travel agent website only lets me pay via credit card. It looks like people have had success applying cruisenext to existing reservations where the deposit has been paid. I read through the cruisenext faq.

    2) We got the 3 specialty restaurant pass. From my reading we'll probably pick 3 from: Q, cagneys, teppanyaki, ocean blue. Usually I'm fairly happy with the dinner choices that come included and I like specialty dining for lunch (since lunch is usually just buffet or stuff like that). Is that a decent strategy to use these are are these places not good for lunch? If dinner, are some days especially good in the dining room (e.g. looks like NCL doesn't have lobster but sometimes cruises have lobster night, etc.). Specialty restaurant packages - it is for dinner only. Ocean Blue - an up charge fee is added on if you pick this restaurant. See this link for all Q&A: https://www.ncl.com/specialty-dining-package/faq

    3) Do any of the specialty restaurants have lobster anymore? - Maybe in Ocean Blue.

    4) When can reservations be made for specialty restaurants? Can I make reservations online? - Yes, you can make reservations online or call the number provided in the Q&A.

    5) Can reservations be made online for the race track and laser tag? Or does this have to be done in person on the ship? If on the ship, this is the first thing we'll do.

    6) Are strategies to get the earliest boarding time? i.e., online check in opens up X days before sailing, etc.

    7) For our other free promo, we got the drinks package for 4 of us but my elderly parents don't drink much so I got the wifi plan for them (250 minutes each). Any thoughts on wifi? Does it work ok for simple things like email, etc.?

    8) Has anyone used a cell phone plan at sea? Is there anything with AT&T or T-Mobile that can be purchased ahead of time for X minutes/data?

    Thanks everyone!

I answered the ones I know. Regarding the 250 minutes - if you wanted, you can also upgrade it to the unlimited plan. You would have to remember to login and logoff each time you are finished with the web. Or else the minutes can be used all up.

  7. If you want to snorkel. especially if you lack snorkeling experience, go to Tobacco Bay; otherwise, go to Warwick and then walk to Horseshoe Bay. You'll have more beach time at Warwick since it is closer to the Dockyard.

    SBtS

Sbts - you give good advice to cruisers. By the way, can one take the minivan to Horseshoe Bay and walk to Warwick or the other way is better? How to look for the walking path or is it just walk on sand? And with the upcoming cruise that dock in the late evening, anything to see at night or to do? Thanks.

  8. I finally found the link / correct place:

    Location: Crown & Anchor Restaurant

For a more refined experience, join us for Afternoon Tea with Lily Bermuda.

Fragrances inspired by the island expertly paired with complimentary teas.

Sample perfume provided by Lili Bermuda.

Served on exquisite porcelain designed just for us, our selection of teas, finger sandwiches and sweet selections makes our Afternoon Tea hard to beat.

Afternoon Tea with Lili Bermuda Menu »

    Afternoon Tea: $55 plus gratuities

Champagne Afternoon Tea: $75 plus gratuities

It is not the one in St. George's. This afternoon tea started this month and will continue to Nov. 30th everyday from 3-5 pm.

So if I am interested in going, I should take the blue ferry to Hamilton and how far from there to this place?

    Thanks.

  9. I made reservations but now I can't find or confirm them. I'm all over the NCL website but I can't figure this out. I thought I've done this before. First time NCL cruiser, of course. :(

You can go to your edoc if it is available to be seen, you will see all booked items.

And you can also go to vacation summary and then click on different dates to see what you booked like shows and dinners.

  10. It depends on which cruise ship you are going to cruise on. For example, some do not like the studio lounge on the Bliss. On the Breakaway, the studio lounge seems fine. There are some snacks, juices and the cappuccino machine for use only for those in the studios. No one else have access to the studio lounge besides the solo travelers meet up at 6 pm. Studio cabins - the shower are in the room. So if you used hot water, your whole room will be filled with steam. Some cruisers said there was not enough drawers.

  11. No trays in the buffet unless you asked someone for assistance. Then that way there would be a tray. Also can use the tray from room service.

Not having a tray should be fine. Get a plate and then go back for more including drinks.

  12. I would rather go to the MDR, it is a good start to a vacation. You do not need to grab or walk around for food. And they would have enough tables and seats for people in the MDR. It wont be too crowded in the room. Eating comfortable and can always ask for more if not enough food and drink. NCL staffs will tell every cruisers to go to the buffet. You do not need to as their are other options.

  13. Some will choose the dining package because they can taste and have good food. Some specialty restaurants are better than the food in the main dining room as well as the buffet. It depends on your choice of food and if you think complementary ones are okay, then you do not need the dining package. If you are going to ports that have expensive shore excursions, then the shore excursions can save some monies. It is $50 per each port.

You can also still dine at a specialty restaurant, it is just paying whatever you eat plus the 20%.

  14. I'm sorry, it is just me and my opinion. I do not understand why people buy a Vibe pass. Yes, it is limited and there are no pool in there. It is just some loungers and some hot tubs for limited amount of people. If wanted a lounger, there might be some on the higher deck (sun deck). No need to be near the pool. If wanted to swim, just wait til arrival to the port. At Bahamas or Bermuda - you can swim all you want.

To those that wanted a vibe pass, you would need to show up at the terminal before 9:30 am to get into the early group.

  15. Crazy Rich Asians was just released to the public like 1-2 weeks as of today and it is still showing in movie theaters. If you wanted to see this movie, it is best to see it at a movie theater. NCL will show old movies and if there are any new movies, it can be at least 1 year old. However for movies through the TV that you would have to pay for, I do not know if they have any newer ones.

  16. Any tips for hot drinks on a cold day for my upcoming Alaska cruise on the BLiss??

Is hot chocolate always available in the buffet or should I bring some packets from home?

What are your favorite adult hot drinks?

    Thanks for any assistance.

If you have the drinking package, most wine help keep a person warm.

Yes, there are some hot chocolate as well as teas in the buffet.

Hot chocolate packets can be less later on during the cruise.

You could take and save some for later/whenever you need it.
