  1. And plenty of time to sell out, it’s only 5 cabins total currently available, and 500 or more balconies or club balconies that can bid on those 5 cabins it’s not impossible of course but the odds aren’t good like they were in 2022 when the ships were sailing way under capacity
  2. Not to burst you dreams of the haven, but the first thing you should do is check inventory because just because you received the invitation to bid doesn’t mean they have inventory left. They send the upgrade advantage bids out to also collect data for data mining for pricing future cruises not just this one. So I looked at inventory for you only 5 total havens left currently. 1 HF. 2HG. And 2HA, and the odds are those will sell between now and end of June so again sorry to squash your dreams it odds aren’t good for you to win a upgrade

  4. NCL post Covid all entertainment cannot be booked till on board so no problem do it as soon as you get on. Not sure what you were getting guarantee only cabin types other than maybe you chose sail away categories which is always guarantee only, I found 53 cabins available in balcony BA category but ship looks quite full. Also zero club balconies available with assignment options
  5. Yes that is what they want it’s so so important to Check inventory and not over bid because all that dat effects each and ever cruise. Happy sailing!

The way the system is setup you have poor good excellent ratings on each and ever sailing that you bid on BUT not all cruises are the same it’s all based on availability on that particular sailing. Example, you cannot compare an early December non peak sailing with say an Easter or spring break cruise because one is not nearly as booked or popular as the other. Upgrade advantage will let you bid no matter what even if there are zero cabins available on your sailing because not only is upgraded advantage used to upgrade people on sailings it also provides very valuable data algorithms to NCL for future bidding and pricing future cruise. So the first thing you need to do is check inventory and then adjust bids accordingly, I’ve won 5 bids out of 7 the only 2 I didn’t win were upgrading from balcony to haven,which in both cases the haven was sold out months in advance yes of course it gave me options to bid which I did but I knew I was just “feeding algorithm data to the system for future cruises” since the possibility of winning the haven was slim to none

  8. Your problem is probably your browser I tried for 2 days on my phone same problem you had. So logged on my desktop and had all my dinners booked in 10 minutes, try that should work.
  9. Really looking forward to your different food you end up trying in the new indulgent food hall it seems like a very varied menu!
  10. The food was average we thought but the music was very fun and I’m not a country fan but the live band was very good.
  11. Approximately 110 days out, is when you will see the banner update or often you get an email but since you booked thru big agency chances are slim most of them don’t participate
  12. If you are using your email it has to go to the modify cancel page maybe you are using the let’s get you upgraded banner which sometimes can become degraded. Oh well good luck I always monitor inventory closely because that’s what I base and usually win my bids each sailing is so different based on inventory.
  13. Also I bet if you go to your email that has your bids and follow the link to modify/ cancel it will let you adjust your bids it only doesn’t let you adjust when in processing status. How does inventory look on your sailing, have you been monitoring it to see how full sailing is?
  14. Yes pending is normal my cruise for March is in a pending status has been since I bid. Processing is what you want to see good luck and Happy sailing
  15. They will also offer for you to bid to even when sold out to see what the bids are. That information is important to the algorithms for future sailings.
  16. Hi Tom, NCl upgrade advantage typically does not work that way I’ve been monitoring upgrade advantage now with NCL since 2017 sailing and always reviewing the upgrade threads. As far as bidding now or closer to sailing your choice remember until very recently the majority of the ocean view and balconies were not upgraded until 3 to 5 business days before the cruise. You must remember though each and every sailing is different algorithms based on price inventory etc Happy sailing!!
  17. It’s very rare they the bidding prices go down it does happen but rarely and when it does it’s usually haven
  18. I received mine for my March cruise 95 dates out, there has been talk on the main thread for upgrade advantage up to 110 days prior hopefully you will hear as long you didn’t book thru a TA that does not participate happy holidays!
  19. If your bids were cancelled which probably happened when you got the free upgrade to inside just submit another bid, remember the bidding program is run by a third party upgrade advantage not ncl good luck
  20. We have only seen haven go to live bidding, and that is just on random sailings so I doubt you will have to worry about live bidding since you’re trying for a balcony. Good luck!
  21. You have to go back to the original email or use the banner that says let’s get you upgrade on your Home Screen. If you go to the email with your original bids it only gives you the option as you say to modify your existing bids, I just tried as well but when I went to my original ‘email all of the options came up.   22. If your upgrade advantage bid went to live bids you would know you would receive emails from upgrade advantage letting you know and the status not all sailings go to live bidding only a select few

Good luck, a 2 minute check of inventory will find that currently the sailing is sold out, otherwise casino at sea would be more than happy for you to pay the difference and upgrade to the haven. I would keep checking since people do cancel for various reasons and if one opens call casino at sea immediately and pay the price to upgrade. Happy sailing.
  24. Thank you for your thoughtful post, I too am in that minority that is tired of all the complaining recently. Just like we have a choice on where to buy our gas, groceries and clothing we have a choice of cruise lines and if you don’t currently like that cruise line please feel free to try another line.   25. They also use your bids for the algorithms for future cruises all that data is continuously compiled to maximize profit for the bidding program.
