  1. I would love the block but currently do not have any extra blocks, but if you would sell it, I would be interested in buying it if I can afford your price. I would also pay or reimburse you for the shipping. I live in Washington State.
  2. I would love to find a clear Symphony or Sovereign block but neither seem to be available, even on EBAY
  3. I wish I could find a clear V1 or V2 Wonder, but I have nothing I can trade for it other than a Clear V! Independance.
  4. Victoria has the capability to do repairs on the smaller radiance class ships and they have been hauled into a drydock there before. If the parts are available, and the damage isn't too bad, it is possible to get her fixed. Until a diver, in full cold gear looks at it is all speculation. RCCL will post an update when the inspection is complete. Regardless, the ship will eventually get repaired, and she will probably have paying passengers on departure from Victoria. As said, until the inspection is complete and availability of parts is established, it is probably too early to panic. I believe the Serenade did a retrofit there a couple of years ago.
  5. nope. none for sale on ebay other than colored ones which nobody really wants in my opinion.
  6. Does anyone know the email address for the loyalty ambassador on the Odessey? Our next cruise will be on that ship and we are hoping that being recognized as a new Pinnacle on the cruise with 700 points that we can hopefully get a clear crystal block. We know that on other ships that the loyalty ambassador normally has a small supply that they have hidden away for some folks.
  7. We only need to find one block to have all of the blocks on ships that we have sailed on. If anyone has and will sell me the block I will buy it. We live in America. We want THE SOUVEREIGN OF THE SEAS. Email: baumeier7@msn.com
  8. I am gluten sensitive, but not a celiac. I have eatened many times on the Radiance (my favorite class of ships) and have had zero issues finding/ ordering gluten free food either in the MDR (tell your waiter) or the windjammer. The best way to get windjammer you desire is to talk to a chef in the windjammer and they will get or make it for you. Their gluten free pizza's are super because you can order anything to be put on it and you get the whole thin crust pizza steaming hot delivered to you at your table. It takes some time for them to prepare it so assure you have a bit of time. The same holds true for hamburgers with gluten free buns, and the doghouse also has gluten free hotdog buns on request. I have found that the French fries are not an issue for me, but the chef will, make you gluten free fries on request. Ed
  9. you can also go to guest services and draw out REFUNDABLE OBC which are the VISA OBC credits.
  10. We love the Radiance class ships grand suites and the smaller suite lounge. The ships grand suites don't have a couple of things that the new ships have. The bathroom night lights don't exist, and there are fewer 110 volt outlets. We take a simple 3 outlet two prong plug in to provide more outlets as needed. A plus is that the balcony doors when locked, cannot be opened from the outside, but if you have a kid or prankster, they can lock you outside. We leave the curtains partially open for the nighttime bathroom trips, as well as the room steward can see if we are on the balcony so they don't inadvertently lock us outside.
  11. no reservations required. There is at least one time when it is only opened to teenagers.
  12. yes, the doghouse has gluten free buns and meats and sides. Each ship handles it somewhat differently based on demand, but if you ask, they will get and prepare for you. The buns are frozen, and I believe they are made by UDI, but there are other suppliers also.
  13. Dog house has gluten free but you have to ask them as the buns are kept frozen until requested then warmed. The gluten free meats are also normally available but again, most times you have to ask. In very busy ships it can take some time to get what you want, but we have gone early and told them what we wanted and at the time we showed up to pick up they were available, warm and tasty, along with gluten free sides.
  14. As mentioned, Hawaii departures required it to go either to Victoria or Vancouver BC before going to Alaska. The Ovation does Seattle 7 day as does the Quantum so after your Alaska cruise you will end in Seattle, so the ship can start the summer cruise season.
  15. we have done the ship tour. Be aware that the ship will wait for any of their tours before departing while they will not wait if you have a private booked tour.
  16. haven't heard any noises on either ship other that as mentioned, the morning chair shuffle after 7am but with doors closed we didn't hear anything, but then both of us are older so probably are hearing impaired.
  17. I get confused easily but hopefully someone can give us the correct answer. Both my wife and I will become pinnacles with 700 points on the same cruise. Some postings seem to read that each person, reaching 700 points to become pinnacle will get the free cruise option independently, while other entries seem to say that only one free cruise is awarded for the couple if they reach the 700 at the same time. So, will we each get a free cruise option, or will we only get one free cruise option since we are in the same cabin at the 700-point mark?
  18. No free Wifi on radiance class ships but Serenade has been upgraded to starlink if you want to buy it.
  19. We did the Radiance in December and we had first dining on deck 4. The my time folks starting to line up at 645 to enter and the first night was a zoo of waiting, but after that it seemed to go smoothly without much of a wait. I do not know about the deck 3 dining room so can't speak on any issues they might have had. The my time dining didn't specify what time you could book for, but that it started at 645pm.
  20. You didn't say what type of cabin you were sailing in but if you are a Diamond or above level you have access to the Diamond lounge which has a coffee machine available 24 hours a day because that is the priority of the concierge Natalia that that machine will be serviced and operable. If you are sailing in a grand suite regardless of your C&A status you have the machine available in the suite lounge from 7am to 9pm daily. These machines make cappuccinos, lattes, expresso etc. both caffeinated and decaffeinated.
  21. We have done both cities several times because we live about one hour between each city. It depends on if you want to do a round trip or a one way. The one way only departs from Vancouver, while the round trips leave from both cities. By one way we are talking about going to Seward on a 7 day and not returning from there by ship. The biggest thing we do not like about Vancouver is that the terminal for departure has a serpentine security line and if there are two or three ships departing the same day it can take over an hour just to get through security and then more time to get checked in with the cruise counters. If you are bad dragging it is very slow. In Seattle, each ship has a dedicated terminal check in.
  22. we had our certified travel arranger in RCL for over 15 years and the entire department was fired. Now it is first come, last call, wait forever, and forget it. I do not know what corporate yoyo decided that customer service was not the first priority. It is almost impossible to get anything done now as those who might finally answer the phone haven't a clue on how to do it, so you are put on a permanent hold until your cellphone battery dies. And forget getting a price reduction even though the website says you are paying too much. It's sad that this is happening.
