@ColdCruise Thank you for posting and sharing your review. This tour looks fun. We are looking into booking this tour.

We booked this cruise in August of last year and there were very few cabins available. We were lucky to be able to book a GTY cabin. I believe this cruise is sold out by now. Maybe some travel agents are still holding a few.

Looking for transfers from Rome hotel to Civitavecchia port and Civitavecchia port to FCO. Has anyone used Civitavecchia Shuttle Express, aka The Limo Shuttle? I found fiumicinoshuttleexpress.com also linked to the same company. Would appreciate any feedback before booking with them.

Cool! We'll check it out. Thank you so much! Getting excited, our first time to Greece. 😄

We are looking for excursions for our 9-night cruise this September that includes Athens, Ephesus, Santorini, Mykonos and Chania, Crete. Could you please share the tour company you used? Do you recommend them? TIA.

Beyond- still beyond creaking and clicking
etiggercruiser replied to Dylan0474mac's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We were on the Beyond December 1st cruise in an IV cabin on Deck 8, and the creaking and popping noise was really loud. The noise came from the balcony and the walls all night everyday. First time we hardly got any sleep the entire cruise. Maintenance crews came twice but couldn't fix it. We've been cruising on different Celebrity ships and on other cruise lines since 2007 and have never heard noise like that. It sounds like Ascent has the same structural issues. We have two cruises booked on Ascent and are considering cancelling them. 😞 -

We were thinking of booking a Greece and Med cruise for 2025. Now this thread makes us change our mind. 😄 -

We are also thinking of booking one for 2025, either early May or late October. Any advice? -

We didn't know about the pole either. Thanks mac_tlc. We got the outside cabin of the four. 🙂 -
For my December sailing, the wifi upgrade to premium is $3.99.

A status upgrade before sailing with them will be good enough for us. 😄

Virgin Voyages will also do status match. https://www.virginvoyages.com/sailing-club/eligible-loyalty-programs

I recently booked a GTY balcony 6 weeks before sailing and got a stateroom assigned a week later, but it was a connecting room. So I called my TA and got it switched to a non-connecting cabin in the same category.

We were on Silhouette last November. On the first and second days, crews tried to sell the discount multi nights package at the Oceanview entrance. But we only wanted one night at Murano. They couldn't give us a discount. Then on the 4th day, they remembered us and offered $40 pp. Pre-pandemic, we were able to negotiate for $30 pp.

Yes, just last week. I redeemed points on 9/06 and received my OBC on 9/08.
-
Maybe I got lucky. I redeemed points on the BofA credit card website. The OBC showed up in my onboard account 2 to 3 days later. I didn't have to call Celebrity.

I just received this update from Celebrity 20 mins ago. Starting with September 5th departures: All travelers, regardless of vaccination status, can cruise with us on sailings departing from U.S. and Europe ports (excluding sailings that visit Canada). We will begin accepting self-tests on sailings from U.S. ports that don’t visit Canada and Bermuda, and on many Europe sailings. We’re easing testing protocols for U.S. cruises that don’t visit Canada or Bermuda: For sailings 9 nights or less, vaccinated guests will no longer need to test to board one of our ships, where destinations allow; and will have 3 days prior to boarding to test for sailings 10 nights or more. Unvaccinated guests ages 5 and older will need to test 3 days prior to boarding U.S. sailings (excluding Canada and Bermuda); and ages 12 and older for select Europe sailings. The current testing protocol for cruises to Canada and Bermuda will remain in place until further notice, as well as the requirement that guests age 12 and up be fully vaccinated. Some testing protocols in Europe are also easing.
