  1. I agree at face value, however the cost of Specialty Dining should really be the difference between the average main Dining Room cost which you have already paid for and the uncharged for Specialty.
  2. Not included with Plus, only Premier.
  3. Not long before it jumped to $42 it was $A29. I used to visit Crown Grill and other Speciality Restaurants at least once per every 7 days of a cruise. These price increases have now put them beyond what I consider good value, so I have cut back. My upcoming 22 day cruise I'll go Specialty Restaurants twice. We get the Plus package but these restaurants are not included and the Premier package isn't worth it in my opinion.
  4. During Covid I used them for shopping as well. After the Ruby Princess debacle down here I had no trouble getting a checkout as when people saw these bags they cleared out.
  5. It is hopeless that there are different arrangements across the fleet. I personally think the way that the Sun have it as you described above is ideal, yet on the Coral last month if you didn't have a booking they didn't want to know you. However, how are people to know if the only thing that is consistent is inconsistency.
  6. It was a light hearted comment. Oh boy.
  7. If you were getting close to your limit of 15 I doubt you'd be capable of a trip to guest services.
  8. My recent cruises had never shown MUTS in the daily schedule before we embarked but were in the daily event listing once onboard.
  9. Thanks. On the Coral the juice bar was inside but the cups were still plastic and very small. I reckon the premium juices would be less than 200mls, less than 7 ounces in your currency. I'm sure the marketing pictures had them looking bigger and better presented than what Is happening. Not to worry, as I really get Plus for the wifi and booze.
  10. There were 2-3 full page adverts in the papers here around Xmas offering deals for Feb/March cruises. To spend that much money on advertising so close to the cruise indicates sales were not good. Using the Red Sea problems as an excuse is just rubbish. As said above they would find a way if the area was profitable. The marketing was off the mark from the outset.
  11. Quick question. When you tried them did you get the juice in large cups/glasses? When I tried them on the Coral they were in the same small plastic cups that the standard breakfast juices were in. If I had actually paid $12-18 for them I'd not be happy. I'll be on Sky in July so I'll give them another try
  12. Generally the taste, I guess the mix of ingredients didn't appeal. As I said, the actual product bore no resemblance to the pictures. If I'd paid the listed prices for what amounted to a very small cup of juice, I would not have been happy. Juice bars no, but I drink a lot of juice blends. I visit a lot of bars but I don't like all beers either!
  13. We were on Coral last week and the juice bar was near the pastries in the buffet. We had Plus and I tried two of the juices which were terrible. They were served in the same size cups as the standard juices available to all. Looked nothing like the picture on the sign. I stuck to the stock standard pineapple juice after that. Fortunately I get the Plus package for the WiFi and drinks so it didn't really matter but I found the juice inclusion a joke based on my experience. It may have been the staff not yet being up to date with the new juices but first impressions, nah.
  14. In my case it only shows past Medallion cruises which is less than half of my total cruises with Princess. Like you I'm not sure what purpose it serves.
  15. Just got the 20% off Northern Europe excursions email. Of course the small print has that the 20% is off the original launch price (who would remember anyway) and of the 4 excursions I had already booked, they were all above or equal to what I paid and the one excursion I haven't booked yet had not decreased at all. A great sale.
  16. Statisticians will tell you that you need a sample size of in the hundreds to get an accurate picture, however in Princess' case your sample size of one is an extremely accurate snapshot if company performance. They have defied statistical sampling methodology.
  17. As I said, I don't use one. However it seems Princess have Vacation Planners now located in the cheap labour locations. It may not be easy in the future getting a VP close to home if Princess keep sending labour off shore.
  18. A CVP may not be the solution anymore. I've never had/used a CVP but recently I received an email from a supposed CVP (I had entered a Princess competition but had given them a "junk mail" email address as I expected to get the usual marketing follow ups) and this guy introduced himself as my new CVP. He is based in the Phillipines, with I suspect, the rest of the Princess off shore call centre incompetence. I was thinking of finding a CVP as I haven't been impressed lately with my TA but I wouldn't want a CVP who has probably never set foot on a cruise ship.
  19. You could also just type their name in Google search and see if any results appear. Yes some people do rave about their PVP but like you I use a TA. It seems though those PVPs were established in the day before the outsourcing. As I mentioned my newly appointed PVP is in the Philippines and I doubt he knows as much about Princess as most people on here. I'm getting turned off by my current TA as he never offers any better prices or incentives than I can get myself so I was just going to start doing all booking myself online.
  20. I actually quite like that. We have met a few great people right beside us and every night we basically dined together. On the other hand if they appear crashing bores you can just not make eye contact and eat away by yourselves.
  21. Just saw your post and I can't see that you've had a reply. You are correct in that the packages do not appear on the App, at least in obvious places. However, in the App open the Packages tab at the top of the opening screen. Then Review Packages, select Upgrade (I'm hoping you have this option even though you have Premier, we do have that option with Plus), then you'll get a screen that says Review your Upgrade Options and as you scroll down it shows what package you have purchased. However there should be something obvious on the App. Another option is open the Travel Summary in the Personalizer. The package inclusions you have are listed on there.
  22. As he wants to introduce himself as a Personal Planner he obviously puts his name to the emails. So I just checked him on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc .
  23. I always get a little surprised when people pay thousands for a cruise and go to a fair bit of trouble to save 10 bucks on water. It is not hard to get a pack of 24 small bottles of water at just about all supermarkets would have them as standard stock. I'm familiar with the WW on George St and they usually would have them. There is a couple of 7/11's right near the pier that would have them. Not sure what your point is about the embarkation lunch. It is always available in one of the Dining Rooms, as it was in your case. I must be missing your point.
  24. Fortunately they still leave a paper version of the Patter on the bed every evening/afternoon. It's not called Patter anymore, it's the Event Listing but it's the same. I much prefer it to the App version which I still referred to occasionally if I didn't have the paper version on me.
