  1. I can't find where to print the travel summary or luggage tags either. However I always print them from the Personalizer. Boarding times are not allocated any more However the Travel Summary states when boarding commences.
  2. For me on the old App it said I had no packages but then when you click on the view packages link underneath it takes you to the Personalizer which has the options and " purchased" next to the package you have.
  3. Same for me. After reading the later posts on this thread about the Shoreside payment kerfuffle I looked at the App to get a better understanding of what people were going on about. To my surprise when I clicked on the Shoreside payment option my credit card details that I have for the onboard account were already there. I certainly hadn't done it. I'm not overly worried about it. After having had my credit card hacked by mystery overseas transactions twice in the past 18 months (including one for Only Fans - that was fun explaining to my wife that it wasn't me) I think this mob having your card details is no bigger risk than the day to day risk that is there all the time. I just check my statements far more regularly these days.
  4. Agree. I find it unbelievable that people spend thousands on a cruise and then worry about 3 bucks for a wash load if they have to pay for it.
  5. Yes, I agree the procedure is frustrating. Even when you book shore excursions you get an email advising of the payment amount but there is no reference to what you paid for. In regard to your Speciality Dining at Crown Grill, I booked a dinner at Crown yesterday. Yep, you get nothing sent back re the payment. In my case, I am in Australia and booked the Crown Grill at $39. My credit card showed a larger amount and then I realised the amount shown on the website is in $US so my credit card amount was much higher when converted to Australian currency. I don't know where you are from so not sure if this is your issue. Those responses you received from Princess are disgraceful and what happens when some functions are outsourced to slave labour companies.
  6. Thanks for your reports, I really enjoyed them. I do not really worry about the noise but that's just me. I can just blank noise out - ask my wife! I agree with your comments about kids and my golden rule is never cruise in school holidays, never. Personally I find the smaller high end ships a little boring as the lack of passenger numbers means that there aren't enough to have many activities. It is certainly quieter, largely due to the lack of people and the fact that you travel with perhaps even an older demographic. If you can I'd try Princess again other than school hols as well as places like the Med where the cruises can be longer and less kids.
  7. Thanks for your response. Yep tried the steps 1 to 4 above and all goes through OK but right at the end I get a system error. I don't want to go down the forgot password route as I have no confidence with Princess IT at all. In the old App it even displays a screen "save changes " but nothing changes when I select it and have to select "discard changes" to get out. I can still log in so I don't want to end up in a bigger mess. I'm trying to just change my password back to a former one. Stupidly I was trying to check the App for my wife and used the same email address as I have. I thought this would be ok as you have to put in her birth details etc and when I input her password nothing worked for her and I ended up with her password. We can still use the booking number way but that isn't as easy to remember as a password. For my wife I should have just started at the Sign Up and gone from scratch.
  8. Understood. I just prefer to log in with a password as it opens all of my booked cruises, not just the one that opens using the mishmash of letters and numbers of a booking number. My initial response may explain why you couldn't log in with your website credentials in that I thought you had to sign up in the App first. I could be wrong though as it was a few years ago and the drink package refreshments may have killed off a few brain cells.
  9. I've been trying to change my password on the App (both old and new) for 4 days without any luck. You are far more expert on this subject than me, but when people state they can't sign to the App using their website credentials...don't they have to start from scratch with the App. For example start at Sign Up and create a password? That's of course if they don't use the booking number each time. I started with the old App a few years back now and can't recall what I did to get started but know I had a different password to my Princess account log in.
  10. Princess may not require a vaccine but your Country of residence may. I'd be checking there and not relying on Princess' advice.
  11. Yes to all questions, as long as you cancel before the cutoff date for cancellations which is usually a few days prior. When you book an excursion you'll see it appear on your Personalizer and that is where you can cancel it.
  12. It's not automatic. You have to set up passwords for each, and of course it's easier oif you have the same one. This is what I had until I stupidly tried to set up my wife on the App a few days ago. As you have to put in her birthday etc I thought I could use the same email address as mine but with a different password. No. All it did was now replace my password with the one I entered for her. For the last three days I have tried to change the password back to my old one and I get error messages.
  13. Same for me and I'm 33 days out from sailing. All check in requirements completed.
  14. Only if you can get in to the water shuttle without assistance. Based on the ever growing parking lot of scooters and walkers outside the Dining Rooms this may not be a needed benefit. I think Charging stations should be placed outside the Dining Rooms as a service but only to be used by the new Elite Plus tier, if created.
  15. No I didn't/haven't received an email from Princess and I'm having the same timed out issues as others, when trying to access the check in details. Even though I haven't received an email, as soon as I accessed the old App yesterday I got a screen advising of the new App and the option to install it.
  16. Thanks for your reports and Sky is one of my favourites. However rule number 1 for me is never book a cruise during school holidays. I appreciate many people do not have a choice, fortunately we do.

I recently entered a competition that Princess had in the major newspapers here, and thinking it would lead to more marketing emails I put my "junk mail" email address, and not the one Princess usually sends me info about cruises I booked. Within weeks I received an email to my junk email from a Princess vacation planner introducing themselves. I assume the hundreds of thousands who entered the competition got the same so hardly a personal approach. I can't really tell, but it seems the email has come from somewhere like the Philippines based on names, although I can't be certain.

  19. Ex Sydneysider here. Just to be a little pedantic the indicator boards will say City Circle (not Loop) and you'll see Circular Quay as one of the stops. As mentioned it is extremely easy and the walk from the Quay to the OPT would be about 10 minutes but it's flat ground. Hopefully not raining as there is no cover on the walk. Love the Majestic, have a great cruise.
  20. If you have just purchased the package recently then you would have all the inclusions. In my case I wouldn't pay the cost difference as I don't think casual dining and the other later inclusions are worth it. The main ones for us are the drinks and WiFi and they alone make the Plus package worth it for us.
  21. That's the same situation for me. In my case I think it's because I booked the Plus package before it was "upgraded" and the cost increased. I paid the lower price that was in place before things like Casual Dining was added to it. You might be in the same boat.
  22. I have found the same issue with the App and gone to the Personaliser as you have said. That said, I'm not convinced that what the Personalizer displays is correct as in my case it shows I have the Casual Dining and those other couple of things that were added later. I'm almost certain I booked Plus before that latest changes. My Travel Summary shows that I just have the wi-fi, juice bar, exercise classes (yeah as if) and the booze and not the later add ons. I'm not really fussed as all I really want is the wi-fi and booze, so the other stuff is meh. I have taken a screenshot of what the Personalizer shows in case I want to challenge it on board but I don't think the later add ons warrant standing in a queue at the Customer Desk.

  24. Where did you do that, in the App or somewhere in the Princess Web site. I use the App all the time and can't find it there, but I'll have a better look.
  25. Pardon my ignorance but where do you check on your bids I.e. where does it say expired or pending. I have a few bids in for cruises in the not to distant future and was unaware that you could check. Thanks.
