  1. I don't think anyone here has the answer. Just send a quick email off to the Isreali Prime Minister and the head of Hamas and ask them what their plans are.
  2. I agree, it should have been provided regardless. As for your case number, good luck. On 6 February I wrote to Princess about something and received a quick email advising the response might take up to 10 days. Nothing by mid-March so I wrote again just following up the original. Yep, you guessed it - I got another case number with another wait for 10 days. We are now well past that 10 days as well. Princess customer service is a disgrace.
  3. Perhaps but was the OBC refundable? If so they may owe you some money and in that case you should have received a folio statement. I would have thought that you would get a statement regardless.
  4. Fair points. I for one would be quite happy if cruise lines just baked the grats in to the fare. Princess do it to fares here in Aust for us and we just accept the price. If nothing else they should do it just to stop threads on tipping.😏
  5. Many Aussies remove tips without giving it a second thought. It's not the customer who is cheap, it's the company who should pay a decent wage straight up. Hasn't it been proven in previous threads that tips, other than the ones you give directly in cash to staff, just go in to general revenue as the staff now are on a contracted wage? I have broken my golden rule to not comment on a tipping thread as there are no winners in a discussion like this.
  6. They do. I received an email the same day I disembarked in Feb. As mentioned above, check junk folder.
  7. The toilet paper is too shiny.😛
  8. Princess folio summaries are not well set out and where I expect a credit to be shown as a + sign it is often shown as a minus sign -as in a debit for Princess. I thought "Contra" as shown above meant it was a credit to the passenger, but I might have that wrong. I sent an email to Customer Relations asking about a cabin upgrade we didn't get and on the 15 Feb received a reply providing me with a case number and stating a reply would take 10-15 business days. Since then, crickets.
  9. My CVP story is that I entered a competition in the newspaper to win a Princess cruise. Thinking I'd start getting marketing emails I put my "junk" email address as contact. Sure enough an email arrived with a CVP appointed who is based in the Philippines - I'm guessing in the same building where the useless off shore Call Centre is located. Probably wouldn't know the first thing about cruising. I use a TA and will continue that way or just book myself online. As you say, some on here have had great experience with their CVP but if you go searching for one from scratch these days you'll probably end up with a Call Centre dude.
  10. In Aust and NZ it is harder to re-fare. I would try and call Princess, as it appears you booked with them direct. If you had other incentives like OBC you may lose them as they may not be included with the new price. If you can't re-fare it comes down to whether your deposits were refundable. If so, you could simply cancel and rebook. If not you might still be in front but is it worth the hassle. You may or may not get the cabin you had, if one had been allocated.
  11. Some people are just weird. You should have gone to the M&G as for every grouch there are plenty of nice people.
  12. The word of the day is butter. Spread the word.
  13. Yes it is. My cruise in July will never get here if @Pops37 is determining the calendar.
  14. So, not March but April 37th? Gotcha.
  15. The exterminator needs to travel to Oz. Just logged in to the App and the first screen (the one with number of days to embarkation) shows in the background but the spinning wheel spun for at least three minutes before it opened. From there I tried to open the My Journey page and I'm at two minutes of spinning wheel and counting. Had no problems until the recent update.
  16. I took heaps of moose pics on our Alaska land tour - this one is my favourite
  17. I have been watching that cruise and about two weeks ago the prices went up. By about the same amount as what the new Princess promotion is offering in OBC!! There are plenty of cabins remaining but I'd be booking now as I think any price drops will be minor. I'm waiting to get a FCD on a cruise we are doing shortly and will use it if I can, but I'm not fussed if I miss out. There is also Royal Princess NZ cruises around this time and I'd probably rather cruise on that ship.
  18. Our Princess land tour was at least 8 days from memory and didn't seem too rushed. The main hassle is having to have your bags in the hotel/lodge corridor early in the morning, so means early rising, but that applies to most land tours anywhere. Certainly a reason for us though to do the land segment before the cruise, where you can relax a bit more. We added a couple of days to Anchorage and did a few extra things like Portage Glacier and loved it.
  19. Couldn't disagree more. We did a Princess Alaska cruise coupled with a Princess land tour and it was one of our best trips. Couldn't recommend it enough. You say "one of the worst experiences of your life"....and you live in LA. 🤔
  20. It's champagne that otherwise should be poured down the sink so don't feel so bad. We've won a few bottles of that stuff over the years and other than the first bottle we tried, we usually just leave it in our cabin at cruise end. It is too far to bring it home and use as engine cleaner on the car.
  21. If you dock on time at 8am, it is rare that the all clear is given within 30 minutes. However, as mentioned above, in my experience we often arrive early so you could be ok.
  22. One great thing about Princess is that have self service laundries, so we use those. Occasionally we do dry clothes on the balcony and use the chairs. Those retractable lines in the bathroom are useless in my opinion as it takes forever to get things dry in there.
  23. We had the lasagne at Sabatini's on Coral last month and it was probably the best I have ever had.
  24. Strange. I just booked one of the Specialty restaurants on the App for a cruise on Sky in July and it showed $39 which I assumed was $US and it was. My credit card was charged $US78 which converted to $AUD118. (so the good news is that with conversion, as at today, the cost in Aussie $ is about $59pp not $63 as mentioned a few times above. Bargain🙄
