  1. Do they disappear once you are on the ship because none of my reservations were in the itinerary section of the Navigator App when I was on the cruise. In fact, they weren't on the website either!
  2. A bright orange umbrella was in my Vista Suite on the Rotterdam last week.
  3. I guess my point is I was on the same ship as you and I thought Covid was gone. I didn't notice any sick staffers. Of course, why would I? They aren't any more my concern than sick co-workers are. If you look for Covid, you will find it. I have moved on.
  4. I was on the same cruise as you and had a wonderful time. I'm not sure how you heard about positive Covid cases or quarantining taking place. No announcements were made about this that I heard. No notices were distributed. As for the crew suffering? Again, how do you know this? I asked several crew members (steward, waitress, bartender, and cleaning person) and they told me that they wanted to remove their masks but couldn't. The cruise was almost normal! I am also happy to answer questions.
  5. No worries. I asked at Shore Excursions and found out that the first bus would depart at 7am for Schipol. So, I bought a transfer ticket and I was at the airport right before 8am.
  6. I'm not sure. We had to lime up outside the terminal before we got in. That took about 20 minutes. Then they had people checking boarding passes before they would send you to the waiting area. After we waited about 35 minutes, they sent us to the vaccine and covid test inspection area. That took more than a half hour. Then I had to present my boarding pass one more time for scanning. I arrived at the cruise terminal at 11:00 and was on the ship at 12:50pm.
  7. I am on the Rotterdam right now. We will disembark on August 21 in Rotterdam. Arrive early. It took me two hours to get on the ship from when I made it to the port.
  8. I am currently on the Rotterdam right now. Do you know what time the first bus left? I am trying to decide between buying a transfer or taking the train.
  9. I am in Amsterdam now and leave on the Rotterdam this Sunday. I just want to make sure we are still leaving from Rotterdam. My boarding pass still says Amsterdam (printed it yesterday).
  10. Often the OBC from the travel agent does not show up in your account until you are on the ship.
  11. I really not worried too much. I am booked on the 11:30am AMS-BOS nonstop flight with Delta. There are two more nonstop flights each day if I miss this one. I am also not sure what advantage changing my flight to the next day would do. Delta is still recommending that I arrive at the airport three hours before departure and that's when I would get to the airport anyway. One thing I could do is carry-on only.
  12. Slightly off topic, does anyone know if I need a Covid test to get on this ship? I heard people didn't for July.
  13. Yes, that could happen but it is what HAL booked for me. Regardless of whether I make the flight or now, will be it be quicker to use HAL transportation to Schipol or self-disembarkation and the train?
  14. I' more worried about disembarkation. The ship returns on the 21st and I have an 11am flight to the US. We'll see what happens!

  17. I'm glad you received yours fairly quickly. I'm at 8 weeks now. I called today and they said I can wait and see if it shows up on time for the cruise (possible) or I can make an in person appointment in Boston.
  18. Mine went to New Hampshire. It has now been 8 weeks since they received them.
  19. Mailed mine May 27. Still waiting. I have a cruise that leaves on August 11. We'll see what happens.
  20. I mailed everything to get a new passport at the end of May. I am still waiting. I have a flight to Europe on August 11. What should I do? What do you think will happen?
  21. I just had a rather lengthy phone call with Carnival in order to get a pin for a cruise that I want to transfer. The agent want the phone number and name of the travel agency before allowing me to select my PIN. However, the TA would not show up in her system (refused to accept the phone number). She wanted me to call back at a later time but I refused. I insisted that I just get my pin. The agent can deal with Carnival!
