  1. Hey, @dog…look what I found! Wording on July 31st, screenshot this 8/1/23. So, the Sapphire guests who sailed Aug 2…onwards should show this FAQ from the Princess website. I knew we weren’t going crazy! 😳 Hmmmm
  2. Disregard my questions, if you’re on the Ruby. That change hasn’t been implemented yet.
  3. Probably Ruby? Only started on Sapphire on Aug 2nd. Next ships start Aug 12th.
  4. I just listened to the Aug 10th webinar and no mention of this on it. Just said she was focusing on Plus and Premier of plans. 😳
  5. NP. Now…we could play the video of their VP when we are charged? 😉
  6. Not sure of your error issue, but I would see the DR Mgr/Maitre’d when you board for lunch, or the hostess there to see if they can book you 3 inna private table for the cruise. They may be holding back the aft MDR to have some control over bookings. Best of luck! Have a great cruise.
  7. It seems the wording is not as clear as it was. HOWEVER, I found the webinar from VP Carmen Roig, July 27, 23 and she said, let me make this crystal clear, “If you are standard and you purchased Ocean Now $14.99, one time fee, you will not incur a RS $5 fee, If you order on the App. Listen for yourself…fast forward to about 27:50 on the video and you will hear her. https://m.facebook.com/video.php/?video_id=555336443308063 Now…did she make an error? Have they changed that? Are the ships implementing it? The next ships start on August 12th. If it doesn’t come up for you just do a search for Carmen Roig, VP Princess cruises and you should see it. I did not have to sign in to view it. IDK.
  8. It may open a couple of weeks before, but sometimes it doesn’t. They have ended up the same as other MDR’s on the ships that we’ve been on. Anytime dining and walk ups both. We usually book mid ship 6 because we are booked in a cabin forward or midship. But, if I was aft, I’d definitely check on this closer to departure.
  9. Do you have a beverage package? Did you initiate the OceanNow App? Did you use your cabin phone to order RS? TIA
  10. We have never encountered problems with RX pills when traveling overseas or asked about it. However, we do travel with the RX pills in their own bottles, because, if for some reason, you needed medical attention, they want to see the actual rx bottle. Some countries are more strict about it. We also take a screenshot of the RX labels, in case of lost rx’s or to show a Dr or Medical. Never had to use this, but for peace of mind. We do lump together our vitamins in condensed bottles.
  11. Just the difference in price. Example, some wines may be $18 a glass and you have a $15 limit, you pay the $3 difference.
  12. It does seem we have to rely on guests who board ships after the upcoming changes are rolled out. The FAQ section on the website does not specifically list any differences for suites. But, what is listed seems to be inconsistent with what is happening now OB, according to guests OB. Having to wait to hear from guests who are OB as the new charges roll out is totally ridiculous. IMO
  13. This is on their website under FAQ, and stated on the webinar from the VP. So, it looks like you can initiate the $14.99 ON fee and have a delivery anywhere, including your room. So, if they are going to charge a $5 fee for RS, then I would not activate the ON fee either. Again, so much inconsistency. It would be good to hear from others on different ships, to see what they are doing. SMH
  14. Please use your roll call for this communication and not the general thread. Other posters have given you good information and especially important not to post any personal information on these posts.
  15. IF it hasn’t transferred yet…. IF the same price and promos are still available…your TA can just book a new booking, pick a similar cabin. Then you can call in and cancel the one you booked, tell your agent when that has been done. Your agent can go in quickly and grab the cabin you just released. This will only work, IF the same price is available and yes you would have to call in and yes, a slight chance someone could grab the cabin. Not likely, but possible. I’ve did this just recently, because I wanted a specific cabin and it was a weekend.
  16. Are you trying to stay on deck 8, Emerald deck? Here’s a great link to look at pictures of the cabins, so you can any obstructions, such as lifeboats. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Regal-Princess&deck=8 Move down on that link and you’ll see cabin pics…midship on some of those extended angled balconies you won’t look out at a lifeboat, but below is a promenade, but no big deal.
  17. That’s not good. I thought if you activate the $14.99 Ocean Now fee you could use that App to order to anywhere on the ship, including your room? You can’t use the RS button on your phone, without incurring the $5 charge, must order on the App, if you activated it. Did you activate the ON on the App? Also, Doug…we discussed this on a thread after watching the video webinar from the VP. She clearly stated if you book separate b2b’s then you do pay each cruise activation fee, but if you book a logical booking such as a 14 day cruise, one booking number, then you only pay 1 activation fee. Now, we’ve been wondering if they have been implementing this OB? Evidently, not. I’d see the GS Supervisor on this.
  18. I’m not on a ship yet since this change. But, if I need hangars, towels etc, I wouldn’t call RS, I’d just let my cabin steward know. By reading the FAQ above: Housekeeping items, your cabin steward has an extension to call, so that’s not RS. I believe that’s what they’re referring to as no charge.
  19. Here’s a pic taken yesterday afternoon of Lahaina. Don’t know if this helps. You have to zoom to see it.
  20. Is that the old courthouse straight ahead in the pic?
  21. I bet you’re right, in addition to maybe new or outsourced accounting, is my guess. Continual problems with IT and post cruise accounting.
  22. I have never seen that. If you’re going on another cruise, I would go to GS and ask them what that would mean on a folio? Maybe that would help to understand. Did you have medallionNet? Did you use the computers in the Internet Cafe?
  23. It’s spelled O’hare airport. If it’s the minimum connection time you question, UA-UA, it should be all in terminal 1, so, 40 mins is the listed MCT. Your UA international flight will also depart from terminal 1. Makes it easy. I would definitely give myself at least 1 hour minimum though, due to the airport delays, weather etc. You don’t want to miss your International flight.
  24. Call the regular PCL phone no and pick the option for Ocean ready team so they can correct it. In the US, it is 1 800 Princess.
