  1. You don’t need the App. They only ask if you Have a medallion, send you to the correct lane. There, they ask for your passport, check you in, then give you your medallions.
  2. We recently went out of San Pedro. You line up outside. (Everyone except the wheelchair guests, they are held in a tent area and go OB, when the checkin opens.) We arrived early, 945 am. They open the terminal check in at 1000 am. Everyone with a medallion goes in the green lane and no medallion blue lane. After checkin, you go through security and then a waiting area. Elites/Suites/platinum are shown the priority lounge to wait. We waited about 1/2 hour and boarded first. We were OB before 11am. BTW, the gatekeeper let us in at 1000 am to checkin. Have passports in hand.
  3. Thank you to @capricciofor checking on the FLL airport site. Seems 2 hours max is on the website. Exception, International flights and definitely check with your airline.
  4. That’s a great resource for cruisers. Definitely, check with your airline, because domestic is usually 2 hours ahead, whereas International checkin is normally 3 hours ahead. So, it really varies.
  5. When I first buy them for a PCL cruise, I open the email and each card, go onto the website and check the balance. Princess.com/giftcard Then, for those I am using OBC once OB, I check those just before the cruise. NP Make sure to print out the card that you are using OB, with the card no and pin, as they will want a paper copy.
  6. So nice to hear you finally had your cruise and enjoyed yourselves. We like the Regal also. Thank you for the feedback on the new app on another thread and on this cruise.
  7. I wouldn’t use duct tape, leaves a residue. We take painters tape or masking tape. 🥴
  8. No more than 4 hours before. We printed our BP and checked our baggage curbside, NP. Other times, we used EZ Check with PCL and they took care of everything.
  9. Yes, they seat at a table for 4 and add a chair at one end. Np. If you’re talking about OBC’s, you can just tell them you are paying for the guest and they will charge your account. IF you’re talking about SD credits from a premier beverage package, that I have not tried to do. I would call the dineline from your room, once OB and reserve the table for 5. Or, you can also stop by the venue on embarkation day to book it. Tell them if you wish to pay for one of the guests.
  10. The new App.. nothing would mean a new cruiser, with a blue sea witch medallion shown. I wouldn’t worry too much, as mine has flipped back and forth on the loyalty status every few days. I just ignore it and assume they are trying to update. Who knows? Just make sure your account is correct on the website. Only problem is, if you’re trying to purchase the wifi medallionNet with your loyalty discount. You could contact the IT department if you want them to correct it now. Or, should I say, attempt to correct it? askoceanmedallion@carnival.com
  11. Yes, it has always been, with the App, you can only see your current cruise. So, if you go to the website version…that is also the App. I just go to the regular website, Princess.com, cruise personalizer to work on other cruises.
  12. Thanks. Have a great time! Appreciate your feedback on this.
  13. I love this! One question: The boarding pass tab showed up at 11 days, does it also give you a QR code on the new App? Not that you need it, just curious.
  14. 15 days ago, you should see those refunds on your credit card by now. Check the cc again. You do not get an email from them when you cancel. When you check the website and travel summary, do you show your new excursions booked? It usually is about 7 days later on your cc, depends on your bank. If you cancel within 3 days of sailing or OB, it will show as obc on your folio. This is not the case, unless the refund dept made an error. If you booked with a TA/CVP check with them. If you booked directly with PCL, call again on Monday, during the day and make sure to pick book shore excursions option.
  15. We recently had 2 cruises out of LA and they sailed out at 3pm also. Seems like more are out at 3pm for US ports now. Don’t show up at 2pm, if you haven’t completed the check in, you should be there 90 mins before. That is spelled out in your travel summary.
  16. Sounds good to me too! Venezia… we love the fill up stations (what we call it), around the neighborhoods from the local vineyards. Cheese, olives and bread from the local markets. Doest’t get any better.
  17. Don’t they have Lavazza coffee? All the others we've been on, have Lavazza now.
  18. So, you must have been at the beginning of the line? What time did you board?
  19. We were notified 2 days before. It really depends on the ship, how full it is and cancellations. Some were notified the week after final payment and others up to 2 days before. I checked the booking and it had the new cabin number. There’s a ongoing thread about the UG on PCL. You may find helpful.
  20. Even though PCL continues to tell guests, you will have an OceanReady boarding pass with your QR code. But, no one at the port cares, they just want to see your Medallion!! Would be so easy to just simplify the process and stop confusing guests.
  21. Ridiculous! Never saw it that bad. So, how is this an improvement for anyone, whether you buy the package or not. What time did you arrive?
