  1. I am thinking they might not be doing it going forward - but that is opinion only. Also, the prices in the big book are always subject to change.
  2. They don't usually print prices in the bigger books as they change so often it would be a waste of money. The prices are on the website.
  3. Mariner is scheduled for drydock in November of 2025.
  4. Both the ship and the staff will be totally different in 3 years...she is due for a drydock and the staff will not be green from the Covid break. You will love it!
  5. The fine print might possible exclude Business Class air and put you into Economy Plus....check before you make the change.
  6. Apologies. I do no t wish to argue but I also do not want to be accused of something it was not my intention to do. This explains the PTE window, how it is typically 90 days and you can see that the 2 year PTE window offered to certain employees is not at all common. https://carta.com/blog/pte-90-day-window/ The 2022Q4, 2022EOY and 2023Q1 filings also have a lot of good info about benefits available to certain employees going forward including retention of some nice benefits.
  7. As a stockholder, any public release of information is 100% my business and my DUTY to read. There are hundreds of pages of SEC filings, please feel free to avail yourself of this opportunity to read them. I have CLEARLYT stated MULTIPLE times that I am not sullying anyone's reputation and I am speaking to the COMMON corporate practice of retaining an employee so that they can use their options. I have said that I have met Jason and liked him and I also think he did a fine job. I think if you read the public material, you would be very surprised at what has gone down in the past 6 months.
  8. Thats because you are not a pricipal officer in a publically traded company. To the stockholders it is absolutely thier business and the info is released to the public in compliance with SEC regulations.
  9. There are new people on all the ships...paired up with experienced staff. It is an effective means of teaching the new staff as quickly as possible. An unavoidable result of the high attrition rate due to Covid.
  10. Read the salary and contract agreements...they are all public record. You would be surprised how much money was handed out recently. I won't put them here...no need to fan the flames.
  11. I don't know how to say it any more clearly than it is my understanding that it is customary to keep people onboard to collect stock options. The normal PTE window is 90 days. I am clearly stating that I an not implying any negative other than I think they were given 2 year PTE windows as a consideration for their service. I do not think they are expected to work during this time....but I could be wrong. There is no negative comment here...I am just sharing my understanding of public terms of their "severance". Do not read anything more into this.
  12. As I clarified, my comment has nothing to do with the man personally....it pertains to all the people who left with a huge golden parachute. No sullying of reputation.
  13. I learn news things everyday - always grateful for more knowledge as well!
  14. Ticker FFG - up 50%+ in last 18 months. https://smartfinancial.com/compare-companies/farm-bureau-vs-country-insurance
  15. It is industry practice to retain top level executives on paper so they can collect their options. I've met him and liked him personally so my comment is more to the practice of retaining highly paid people after they are replaced in order to allow them to earn more.
  16. I am sure they discovered that happy and appreciated employees are much better than unhappy and unappreciated employees. Sounds like a good way to spend money to me...I am sure the stock holders agree as well as the company is doing great.
  17. Very simple - you are NOT oversold. Regent has more demand (Waitlist) for this cruise than they do cabins. SO, in order to retain you and capture another client, they offer you (and others like you in the cabins that are waitlisted for) the chance to swap bookings and receive a nice check for your trouble. You will never be "bounced" - it simply doesn't work that way. They are only trying to fill another ship that is full by diverting from your current cruise.
  18. He is onboard to for his stock options. I would be very surprised if he was doing anything more than collecting them.
  19. The high end charter places bring in additional staff because they often don't have the ship filled and like their own people.
  20. 100% true. Not overbooked...just demand greater than capacity. They are trying to move a paid client to a cruise with no waitlist to capture another client. You woukd NEVER be bumped.
  21. I see what you mean - apologies - I am pretty tired tonight. Not all GM's are the same, are they? 😉
  22. I was trying to think how many nights I have seen people out of the Dress code and I came up with about 5....that's 1%. Although I agree it is probably higher on shorter cruises...
  23. All true except Regent DOES enforce the Dress Code 99% of the time....so this is really a non-issue for the most part.
