  1. Mine was split 50/50 between myself and second passenger even though I paid 100% and it can not be transferred
  2. From what I have seen as far as the US the demonstrators are NOT pro Hamas but supporting Palestinian, not every Palestinian is Hamas.
  3. I’m sure they are all just glad to get out and will work out the rest of the way back to US
  4. Yes just saw that on news. They are then responsible to book their own flights home
  5. I’m sorry you had to cancel your cruise but imo a wise choice. That area will be unstable for months not days or weeks. I hope you find a replacement that you can enjoy
  6. Personally as most if not all flights to Tel Aviv have been cancelled and carriers will refund as long as NCL is at least offering a 100% FCC I’d cancel and rebook something else. Sadly I’ve always desired to visit Israel but never pursued it as the entire area is a tinderbox, ready to blow up at any given time. Guess I’m just a sissy
  7. Agree, I do understand the frustration but NCL had no idea a war was going to break out there. Trying to make adjustments for a cruise only weeks away, throw in NCL BOGO air into the mix and it's a logistical nightmare
  8. I said most do not cover it and most people don’t bother to read all the fine print. If one has a trip/ cruise that goes to Israel I’m pretty sure the insurance knows why one would be cancelling https://www.travelinsurance.com/does-travel-insurance-cover-an-act-of-war/
  9. Unfortunately most insurances do not cover anything if it’s because of an act of war
  10. Had same issue when I booked my Alaskan cruise for last month. I had done Alaska last year on Bliss and never used the balcony, it was just too chilly and rainy. When I went to book the Jewel the difference in OV versus Balcony was $2K, our self booked air to Anchorage was $1800 so no brainer booked the OV, first time in OV and it was fine. The pricing of cruises nowadays you have to shop and either make concessions or fork over the money. Haven is no longer on my radar, balconies it will depend on price difference between an OV and balcony. Such is life lol
  11. Agree! The only time I might not return to the ship is if the ship is in the same port overnight, like Bermuda. I wouldn’t chance this
  12. I was on Jewel 8/28-9/4 Seward to Vancouver no tendering at any of the ports
  13. You can bring your own, I do or wait for port day as you can't even buy a bottle of aspirin in gift shop. In March I forgot to bring some Claritan just in case, well allergies kicked in, went to gift shop none told me I had to go to medical uh that's a big no just waited until next day and bought in Cancun
  14. Yep my flight wasn’t until 10:30 pm lots of disgruntled people sitting there at a packed airport waiting for late flights so that’s what I did as the city tour NCL offered was a drive around city then dumping everyone at Gran Isle to about noon and then dumping you at airport at 1pm. At least I was able to stretch out and take a much needed nap
  15. Truth!! $350 will get you the day rate at hotels that offer day rate, that’s 6-8 hours depending on hotel
  16. Good grief leave them home with family or pay for an adult to come with you as babysitter!! I can’t believe you would even think about shore excursions leaving your kids on board
  17. If a cruise is more important to you then this relationship I think you answered your own question.
  18. Ok then why is my toilet not functioning? It’s fixed for a few hours and then we are on rinse and repeat Guess it is those wipes, lived years without them now everyone needs them
  19. Please if your tushy is so special you need tushy wipes please DO NOT flush them even if they say flushable Currently on Jewel with a toilet issue every day, per NCL the line keeps clogging due to someone flushing tushy wipes!!! Real pain to have to keep going to a common toilet as the one on our cabin isn’t flushing Someone on my roll call said the other day she saw someone come back with a package of Northern that fluffy tp also a no no they should have confiscated until cruise end
  20. I’m on ship now and yes they open it for viewing Deck 8 forward
  21. Reading the article I can understand why some cruise lines may avoid canal crossings at the current time.
  22. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2023/08/09/panama-canal-shipping-pileup-due-to-drought-reaches-154-vessels.html Sorry but imo and I know many will not agree but cargo ships going through canal take precedence over cruise ships
  23. Oh just belly up to the bar and order some Boones Farm or something similar lol j/k
