Agree!! Calling/chatting with them is a total waste of time as they are just as much in the dark as we are or just working from a script. Now that holiday is over I’m anticipating some kind of announcement within the next week.
-
Actually no cruises from mid January to late July. Her last cruise in January she ends up in NY, then July she’s in Greece so who knows when she sails across the pond, seems rather long for a dry dock right now it’s a guessing game I never waste my time calling as in my experience those agents are just as much in the dark as the guests
-
Wow when I looked the other day March 17 was last cruise until July
-
Yes, I’m booked for the April Trans Atlantic, not looking good, there is nothing past March 17 until late July
-
I have booked the Pearl now it’s a wait and see
-
Yes we did back for a trans Atlantic
-
All cruises for April, May and June 2024 have vanished from web
-
So if they do cancel and give us an FCC I can apply that toward Pearl if already booked?
-
That’s concerning! Now should I wait to see if we get an email with a FCC coupon or jump over to the Pearl which has a similar itinerary but no Amsterdam
-
Supposed to be on Getaway TA April 2024, no longer on web and 3 months you don’t see anything, should I be expecting a cancel??
-
Lol about as bad when AA canceled our flight in Costa Rica last year and gave a $12 food voucher But at least it was something for a situation they had no control over. $12 doesn’t go far in an airport but $20 on ground probably can get you a burger and soda
-
Oh wow that’s tragic! It will be a major headache for disembarking passengers, missed flights etc. Embarking passengers just need to have patience

Sorry you had this issue on your cruise. From all the reviews I've read on this ship both here and that other social media spot from seasoned NCL cruisers, Prima would have to have rock bottom pricing with a decent itinerary before I would book her.
-
Agree as the air from one city can be more than the other city. I think probably both would have to be flying from same city
-
Wouldn’t Maritime law come into play not individual country law? Just asking
-
Thank you for a well written thought out review. I've seen many lackluster reviews of the Prima so there is no way I'd shell out the money NCL wants to book this ship. So sorry your cruise turned out this way. I'm also glad to see the NCL apologists didn't come out in droves with their pitch forks attacking your review.

NCL Prima - Observation Lounge closed for the entire cruise
njkate replied to robinium's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Agree! Hopefully NCL realizes what a major blunder that was and won't repeat it -
NCL Prima - Observation Lounge closed for the entire cruise

Just because the cruise line can doesn't make it right. A few hours, a few days yeah could deal with that but the entire cruise just isn't right and I would complain while still on board and I'm sure you won't be the only one- 275 replies

I hear you! That 6:45 AM departure is what made me book the NcL train

Review Spirit May 17-24 Alaska Seward to Vancouver

Great review, thanks for writing and posting it. I love the Spirit, was the first NCL ship I sailed on many years ago. Doing Alaska in August but on the Jewel also a smaller ship -
Never-Haven Cruiser sails in the Haven. Here are her thoughts.
njkate replied to LrgPizza's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
After my experience in the Haven on the Breakaway back in 2018 I would never pay full price for it. We also had a butler, Seeka was her name that we saw on embarkation day and she ghosted us up the the last night when she came fishing for a tip, it’s the only time I did not tip someone and don’t feel the slightest bit bad. Our cabin steward was phenomenal so a good portion of what I budgeted for the butler was added to his tip, The night butler was good and we assumed we would not see him before we departed so we tipped him as service was provided. Yes there were plenty of snobs running their butlers ragged, in retrospect maybe that’s why ours ghosted us lol. We did meet plenty of down to earth people as well -
NCL Dawn poor performance by room steward so far

Yes and there are a few of these cheerleaders in here that are downright rude in the responses they post.- 210 replies

I take reviews both good and bad with a grain of salt. As for complaints also with a grain of salt, what may seem minor to me may be a big deal to someone else. I read them to become aware of what if's what may etc. A review will not influence me to not book a cruise if the price, timing and itinerary works for me. You can go to each cruise lines page here and find the same complaints, some very valid and some I find just a minor annoyance. Take your cruise and enjoy it

Yes on my cruise on Dawn in March the daily’s were left in the slot outside the door not in the cabin -

Sorry you had to escalate with no resolution. This board is chock full of NCL cheerleaders who will jump all over the slightest negative post/ review just ignore them- 210 replies
