  1. I don't know for sure, but I doubt that it's that simple. I would think that the cruise line would somehow have to notify a country if they were just dumping off some number of passengers that would not be re-boarding.
  2. If you got $380 for your $340.80, I'd say you're still way ahead.
  3. That's actually where a real chef's table would be located.
  4. I like it when someone wears a mask over their mouth but not over their nose. I guess they don't breathe through their nose?
  5. Seems reasonable. Basically whatever size you are comfortable carrying (full), that can easily fit into a backpack or whatever.
  6. Would other countries even allow people to be put off for that reason?
  7. The door mystery continues! As far as bed placement, I believe it is so that they can alternate cabins with beds placed near the closet/near the balcony so that they can make the cabins smaller by indenting the cabins a little in the desk/sofa area. If all the beds were lined up in a row in every cabin, the rooms would have to be wider. Kinda hard to explain in words, but if you look at a true floorplan, or an actual cabin, it would make more sense.
  8. Good point. Now that I think about it, I believe opening the door handle does unlatch the deadbolt.
  9. Not sure if it helps or not, but I believe there's a deadbolt on all the doors.
  10. I'm curious...does the assistance dog help to open the door somehow?
  11. I think we've determined that some ships have them doing both, although we're not certain why. One possible reason I saw was that they don't get in the way of the doors that connect connecting cabins, which can be near the entrance to the cabins.
  12. I'm wondering that also. Same question for any port.
  13. In all of the Allure videos below, the door opens out into the hallway. I guess it works differently for different rooms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGhEOFw26CU&ab_channel=NautiLife https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9fEpZJwaY4&ab_channel=SarasotaTim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dts0hlub6CE&ab_channel=Symone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__c5ghT9Q_s&ab_channel=CruiseSea-kers
  14. Actually I think it's the older style (opening inward) that had the potential to cause issues, and that's why the relatively newer ships' doors open out into the hallway. As an example, here's a tour of an Odyssey cabin. Check at around 35 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg65l2MCS8w&ab_channel=TravelTouristVideos I'm guessing it was changed because of a concern with fire or water. Maybe @chengkp75 can shed some light on it.
  15. No they don't. As an example, Brilliance doors open in, Allure doors open out.
  16. There won't be anything on Labadee as that's basically just an extension of the ship. Other ports often have free wifi in shops and restaurants nearby. You might have to buy a drink, or sometimes you can just look for a sign with the password.
  17. That's from 2016: https://www.cruisejobfair.com/gallery/liverpool-2016/
  18. Agreed. That has been my experience as well.
  19. I agree. Hubbard and Glacier Bay are by far the highlights
