Hi, currently on the Pursuit from Barcelona to Lisbon. 10% tax had been added to the beverage packages and specialty dining. There were signs 10% tax will be added while in spain waters, which is most of the time on this cruise. So i guess it is very specific to the actual cruise. cheers MouseBerry

Hi, we are on this cruise as well and yesterday used specialty dining at Prime C. In general we are quite happy with the food on Azamara Pursuit. But we found Prime C shows nothing special. The food is not bad, but actually would not spend the extra 30$ per person. We prefer the MDR. Food at Windows is good as well. Burgers in the Patio are quite good. Not 100% happy with the cocktails, but that is a matter of taste. Not really happy with the specialty coffees. Found this underdeveloped on Azamara. Didn‘t find frozen coffee specialties so far. Soft ice /frozen yoghurt machine is not in service all the time. Pay attention if you sail in EU waters (like spain this cruise). There is a tax addon on all purchases. cheers MouseBerry

Hi, OBC as the name suggests can be used for most spending ON board. Specialty dining, beverage packages, shops etc. What is special to OBC, and a bit counterintuitive, is that it can be used even before embarcation but for excursions only. Not sure if that applies to all OBC or only to special indicated one. The non refundable OBC cannot be used fir extra tips. cheers MouseBerry

Hi, we have been to many cruise ships an the towels on Azamara Pursuit are maybe the biggest by length and width we ever had. But at the same time they are quite thin. Overall they are great and not bulky to our experience. And the loungers are big as well and the most comfortable we can remember. cheers MouseBerry

Hi, we are now on the Pursuit and there are towels in the cabin designated to be taken of the ship to the beach. If you don‘t bring it back there will be a 35$ fee. cheers MouseBerry

Hi, in case we want to visit a beach on a port of call. Is it allowed to take towels from the ship to the beach (and bring it back of course)? Or do I need to pack my own? cheers MouseBerry

Thanks for the well written and very much informative semi live blog. My DW and me are about to leave for our first Az cruise embarking in Barcelona. I wish you a good cruise with MSC. We were very much loyal MSC cruisers for more than a decade, but experience last year on two MSC cruises in Yacht Club were not very good. It was not really bad, but consdering the price point and pre-covid cruises experience we expected more. One of the reasons we want to try a different cruise line. Yes, Az communication is not really good. From this level it can only move to the better😉 cheers MouseBerry

Hi, I have booked a Princess cruise and used the Princess-Plus-Deal. My receipt from TA show this. But when I log in to princess.com and under "manage this booking" I can see the cruise, but no details about the booked tarif, the plus-deal, and no indication about included wifi and drink package. Well, apparently majority of guest don‘t like the music or dislike how loud it is played. Why is played the way it is played? Is this a customer focussed service?

Upload docs? Am i supposed to upload documents? Vaccination cert., picture? Or do you mean download boarding pass? I was able to type in data like passport ids etc., but not able to upload docs nor see the need to upload either. Did i miss something?

Well, in Germany Az cruises for this spring/summer were sold on quite a promotional fare, likely to attract new cruisers to a bit upscaled cruise than mass market. If Az is not shine to usual premium standards this marketing step might fail. We used promotions for Oceania and HAL and were quite happy with it, i.e. we came back for other cruises. Will see if Az can impress us as well. What i read above doesn‘t sound promising.
