  1. just back from a RCI cruise so quick update. I contacted my travel agent again and said why could I not shift and reshift cruise. They stated they could do that but would charge me £50 each to do it. Frankly last time I will be booking with an agent.
  2. Thanks all. My TA is saying not a hope (or words to that effect). I would move forward and back but the Glasgow flight thing is an issue. The nearest is showing as Manchester and I'm not going to risk that.
  3. This cruise has been moved twice already due to covid followed by a health issue. Trouble is this time I don't want to move the cruise I just want them to offer it to me at the same price as if I was buying it now.
  4. Not true for our PandO cruise next April. We booked when released, in truth we moved April 22 to April 23. We paid £1698 with £60 room credit for cruise and flights for the two of us. Current price seen today is £1748 with ££270 room credit.
  5. I suspect I know the answer but given Royal are doing it I want to check about PandO. In short my cruise next April if I was to buy it today offers an extra £210 in cabin credit than when I booked. The price of the cabin is only £40 more so basically £170 cheaper. If I cancelled and rebooked it wouldn't be worth it as would lose the current deposit, also my current airport Glasgow is not showing as an option which I hope means it has sold out rather than no flight. I booked via a travel agent whose phones are not working so I can't ask them other than to email. Before anyone asks no I wouldn't be offering to pay extra if the price went up. However under current rules from other cruise lines I would be able to get the extra credit.
  6. Which is actually good for me! I got the dollars at $1.50 to the £ at the time so have benefited from the recent collapse of the pound against the dollar.
  7. Am I able to change US dollars into Euros onboard? I happen to have some from a previous Florida trip and if i exchange them her in the UK I first have to change the dollars to pounds and then from pounds to euros. Doing that loses me around 25% value. thinking as Royal use dollars as currency I may be able to do it at a better exchange onboard
  8. Probably a stupid question. If as it is said on some forums that deck 3 is being used for covid cases detected while on board then how can the ships be full. Either the deck 3 thing is an over exaggeration or so is capacity.
  9. I knew this would happen. The moment they started Musical Chairs as entertainment if was bound to end badly. Next they will be stopping pass the orange.
  10. They have been known to enforce it in the past. Personally I would be getting new ones. The cost of a couple of ESTA's is far cheaper than the loss of the cruise.
  11. According to this recent news story then yes. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/elderly-couple-thrown-4000-dream-26902580
  12. No You are not allowed to use the NHS tests. I did ask why and its an NHS restriction not the companies.
  13. You don't need a PCR is a simple LFT test required. Lloyds do them at £30 but there are far cheaper options. Cheapest so far is Dochq with a discount which I can get four tests for £43, however you need to supply the test so add about £2 a test to that cost.
  14. Not strictly true. If you are sailing from Europe and your 2nd dose was more than 270 days ago then you do need the booster.
  15. 50/50 You will either get it or you won't.
