  1. I booked a 4 nighter on this week's flash sale as a solo, Interior, Bella. Paid $228 all in ( (It was $99 base fare, $19 solo supplement, $100 taxes.) for a December sailing on Seashore. Would have been content to have inside as I intend to sleep and recharge, however I just got assigned a Balcony cabin. The upgrade 🧚‍♀️ fairy is alive and well!!! Yahoo!!!
  2. Anecdotally, I once brought on a bottle of Prosecco, wrapped and tied with a ribbon with a card on it intended for one of the MSC staff at Guest Services that we had befriended a few weeks earlier. It was in plain sight and security at Pt Canaveral freaked out, confiscated it, and said that it would be sent to Guest Services. 😜 Precisely where it was supposed to go. It was actually rather funny in hindsight.
  3. Great. So you would be "very vigilant"... one of our favorite kind of entitled YC guests. Thanks for trying to intimidate the staff into bending to your interpretation of the "rules"
  4. No. I've tried booking on the Italian website but get locked out as you can't change country of origin. I didn't want to risk showing up at the port and being denied.
  5. It *might* is your best answer. Did you use a travel agent? If so, I'd ask them to help.
  6. 4 INCHES or 4 FEET? I'm pretty sure a 4Ft tree would be confiscated as a potential fire hazard
  7. You can request anything; you are likely not to get one, though.
  8. Mental note... become a travel agent 😉
  9. My guess is that someone else found the fare and posted it on a popular website where others hopped on and booked out the sailing. Had it only been a few cabins booked at the wrong rate they likely would have honored it.
  10. 1. MSC does not discount the drink packages or have sales like RCCL often does 2. Yes, you can cancel pre-purchased packages HOWEVER (and no one has yet noted), it could take two - three billing cycles to get the money refunded (we are on our 3rd month waiting on a $198 refundable deposit to come back) 3. The drinks onboard are very reasonable, however for a transatlantic I know I'd drink enough espresso based drinks a day to easily cover the "Easy" package, let other other libations. 4. To the person who suggested you look at booking an "all in" package; I have never seen them offered on such repositioning cruises. The intro rate for the cruise is dirt cheap, but they wifi and drinks are at rack rack.
  11. That is correct - cancel it now and you can add back up to a few days before if you do not win the upgrade.
  12. Plenty of video documentaries online. Massive groups of 20/30 people in hot tubs. 🤷🏼‍♀️
  13. On all of our most recent sailings it has been PACKED... to the point where attendants were trying to thin out the crowds of 20+ in the hot tubs
  14. Sorry, we are on the Joy. First NCL cruise for us.
  15. Newbie here, please no flames. Hubby and I do not eat dessert/sweets. Like at all. On other lines with a 3 course menu we can sub out an additional soup or side. Is this possible on NCL? To note, we have reservations at Cagney's and Le Bistro if that helps. TIA.
  16. We had that issue in the bathroom on the Divina (in YC). The ole water down the hole thing worked!
  17. Did the Meraviglia in early December and it was decked out --- trees and decorations everywhere. It was charming.
  18. Much too risky a proposition. If you both want YC and there are cabins available then you should pay to move; otherwise no saying what will happen.
  19. Sorry if I wasn't clear. We were scheduled to depart Quebec (port) at 5pm; this has been pushed to 8pm. Since we are getting onboard that day at 11am my thought was to check into the ship, eat lunch, put bags away and THEN head out again to meander around Quebec, vs the ship.
