  1. Thank you for your kind words Sharon. I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt's passing. I hope you have a fantastic holiday.
  2. Thank you Lenda. All of the books of remembrance inside the memoriam room are open on today's date.
  3. Thank you Joy. Your sentiments are much appreciated by us both.
  4. Thank you Sandi. My mam was very kind and was loving to Pauline as well. She loved to cook and we have a photo of her in our kitchen. She died 2 month's after her metastatic cancer diagnosis. Like Pauline's late mam we miss them both dearly every day.
  5. Good morning. It is 50°F and it has been raining heavily for several hours. Thank you for today's daily reports Rich. Thought provoking days and quote today. We have never been to today's port. I hope everyone is safe and well. Nice to see so many Dailyites cruising. I hope everyone has a nice day.
  6. Thank you Vanessa for recording my lovely late mam's 12th memory today.
  7. Do they not have Old Speckled Hen ale on board?. As we usually have aft balconies Ventura is great that Epicurean is aft too rather than being near the front of the ship like most of P&O ships.
  8. Good morning. It has been raining heavily here most of the night. It is only a little breezy at the moment. I hope everyone is safe and well.
  9. Excellent news Phil. I hope you have little or no pain and your recovery plan goes well. I will be very interested how you get on.
  10. Thank you Lenda. Several times people have come up to us on board and said hello Graham from cruise critic but they respect our privacy wishes and don't say on cc they have met us until we get home and I post our cruise information and photos.
  11. Nothing is set in stone and it is disappointing but HAL cruise lengths and departure ports did not fit in to Pauline's work holiday allowances these last 2 years. We sailed from Miami on RCL Oasis of the sea's on January/February 2023 and stayed pre and post cruise in Miami. We were booked with around 50 RCL cc members for March 2023 but had to cancel that because of Pauline's work commitments but RCL were great and changed us to January/February instead. Southampton England is our preferred departure port and P&O is definitely Pauline's choice. We have sailed on P&O,Royal Caribbean and even MSC from Southampton these last 2 years.
  12. We sailed from Dover in October 2007 with Pauline's late mam and dad on Norwegian Gems maiden voyage. Dover is an option if the dates fit in with Pauline's work commitments and other cruises we have booked.
  13. This is fantastic news Terry. I'm really pleased for you.
  14. I'm so sorry to hear your dear daughter has a heart problem Lenny and I hope remedial actions can be done to help her and give her a normal life. After my mild heart attack nearly 4 years ago I had a cardiac stent fitted and medication which has helped me. Best wishes for your health too Lenny.
  15. @erewhon. I hope everyone on here know what we have done in my 2 years on here as I never hide anything and always post lots of our cruise and personal photos and always answer questions fully and respectfully. Pauline loves P&O and sailing from Southampton. In the last 2 years we have sailed from Southampton England 8 times with 6 more Southampton England sailings in the future. I intended to sail on HAL but they have not sailed from Southampton England yet so I cannot make comparisons like you asked. Normally I only ever posted on P&O, Princess and Royal Caribbean forums where we are high loyalty but since joining the Daily nearly everyone has made me feel so welcome and I love posting here and really like most of the wonderful people on here. We were at church tonight to hear a speaker and watch a film and photos of our city Sunderland at war in the 1930s and 1940s. It was very emotional as a lot of the 1930s music from Vera Lynn accompanied the film the same music we played to Pauline's late mam while caring for her in her last year's with dementia. It is my late mam's 12th memory tomorrow. Graham.
  16. There are 2 menu's in Epicurean on Iona. I seem to remember it changed mid week.
  17. I hope your boiler is a simple fix Terry. The copper pipe thermocouple is often the culprit.
  18. Absolutely stunning photos Sandi. Fantastic photos of yourself and Dennis and of your son and his dear wife.
  19. I understand cruise ships are now avoiding Egypt and Jordan.
  20. Good morning. Rabbit 🐇 Rabbit 🐇 White Rabbit 🐇 for a new month. It is 50°F and raining here. Thank you Rich,Ann, Debbie,Dixie Lenda and Sandi for your major contributions every day. Interesting days and quote. Food sounds nice today. Prayers 🙏 for everyone who is unwell and our friends in Israel and Ukraine. My late mam got diphtheria as a teenager and spent several months in a Sanitarium recovering. I hope everyone is safe and well and y'all have an enjoyable day.
  21. P&O which is a Carnival brand did away with autogratuities a few years ago. Princess and Royal Caribbean allow passengers to cancel their autogratuities at Guest services. I believe in gratuities for crew personally but increasing gratuities then reducing services on board does not seem right.
