P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?
grapau27 replied to Host Sharon's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Once you have medical issues the price goes up significantly. We priced a single USA cruise trip policy in January and it was expensive so went with the annual worldwide cruise policy. -

Thank you @Megabear2. This is exactly what we were told from 2 different holiday insurers. It is not worth the risk of having a claim refused by not disclosing every doctor and hospital appointment especially as they will check if you make a claim. -
The Fleet Report and Daily for Friday May 12th, 2023

Many thanks Sandi @StLouisCruisers and Rich for supplying the Daily and fleet reports. Welcome home Rich @richwmn. Nurses like doctors deserve our respect and thanks for how they look after us especially when we are in hospital. An interesting quote. TO'Day's food and drink sound okay. Good wishes for improved health to all of the Dailyites who are unwell. I hope everyone has a nice day.- 95 replies

Unfortunately they do and I have proof with our travel insurance policy. A minor ailment which the doctor said was nothing the insurance company added £50 to our policy at renewal. Insurance company want you to report any medical issues when you take out the policy plus any extra issues once you have the policy as they claim if you don't it will invalidate your insurance. -
Absolutely Beautiful MJ. We have a gardener who looks after the high conifers once a year. Pauline likes to do the garden. I used to but my severe arthritis prevents me now. I used to pay her sister weekly to do all of the gardening until they cut ties with their daughter our Sarah, Pauline,me,her brother and her late mam 7 years ago.

We never asked because it was not necessary for us. Pauline is still working so 7 or 14 night holidays fit in her leave schedule. -

Thank you I wasn't aware of this. Ours doesn't expire until next January. -

Annual policy. 30 day maximum trip length. Single trip insurance is not much cheaper. -

My arthritis is a big factor too plus having 2 facial basal cell skin cancers removed and 2 cataracts removed. Once the ops were done and I was given the all clear which I now have they indicated next year all being well will be cheaper for Europe. -
The Fleet Report and Daily for Thursday May 11th, 2023

Sandi @StLouisCruisers both yours and Lendas photos are immensely helpful to me. Some of the ports make me feel we want to go but some like the Amazon which is probably 15 hours flight away is not for us and I really appreciate seeing both yours and Lendas photos which are interesting but confirm we would not want to go. Personally I would jump on Rich's ship and do the world cruise if Pauline was fully retired.- 83 replies

Our travel insurance went up £500 when we changed from Europe and cruising last year to rest of the world including USA and cruising this year. All clear was £850,Stay sure wanted £1200. Next year we will probably go back to Europe at £350. One thing to remember when getting a new policy if you go to the doctor and need a second opinion because he can't diagnose what it is insurance won't insure you until you have a definite diagnosis.
