I'm a newbie, have only read one of your reviews previously. I really enjoyed it and all the beautiful pics! Looking forward to this review. So far I haven't given much thought to sailing the Mardi Gras because there's so many ships I haven't sailed yet. This review might just sway me🙂

This is disappointing even though my cruise isn't until August, hoping it gets sorted out by then. Last cruise we almost exclusively ate at paid dining. Nothing against the MDR except the repetitive menu.

Also looking forward to this report. I had to turn down an incredible Alaska offer recently on the Splendor. Just couldn't make the dates work with husband's limited vacation time left since we already took 2 vacations this year. Maybe next year, by then I will know how things work thanks to your review🙂

Interesting, I didn't know it was considered cancelling to change rooms, just thought everything carried over to new room. I did think maybe that was the case so tried to rebook JiJs for the same time and got the prompt I had conflicting issues so it wouldn't let me. That made me think my original reservation is still in place. Guess a call will in order to sort it out.

No a new booking number.

The other day I saw a room open up that I might want to change to. I put the room on hold while I decided. I thought it would be a simple process, everything transferred over to the new room. My old room booking was cancelled and the room I had on hold became my new booking. Is it normal for the things I paid for such as carnival insurance, JiJi dinner, a shore excursion, and cruise cash to not show up? Does it take time to show up? I also had $49 of OBC left and now I have $258 OBC showing.

They haven't been quick with me, been over a week. But there is a disclaimer on the page about taking longer than usual.

Have you ever not gotten big casino offers after a cruise? Curious because my last cruise in Feb I barely stepped foot in the casino and now I have casino offers for 10 day Europe from Barcelona for $100 pp in a balcony and 8 day Alaska for $100 pp in a balcony. Yet previous cruises where I did step foot in the casino I never got any offers.

I have risked taking early flights a few times with no issues but for our Panorama cruise for some reason I chose a 2pm instead of early. Good thing I did. We were late coming in and then because of people starting to arrive before we get off jammed up traffic. Our 7 minute Uber wait took almost an hour. We got to the airport around 12:30 but this was Long Beach airport which is closer. Any little thing can throw it all off so have a plan B just in case.

If you are cruising out of Miami and haven't booked a flight yet check out Southwest airlines 2 day sale. It's 40% off for Miami flights only from 8/16-11/5. I just missed it, my flight is 8/5. That date is $199 one way but from the 16th on it drops to $75, even cheaper for Sept.

The reason he wore pants is because he asked a server in the MDR that since you could wear shorts there if he could wear them at the steakhouse. She said yes it's his vacation they won't tell you what to wear. If it's a rule I would follow but if it's a pick and choose rule then I will make a fuss next time lol.

Nooooo Alchemy is across from the steakhouse so while people watching having a drink I saw them turned away from the steakhouse🤦

On the Panorama 2 months ago husband decided to be a rebel as wore shorts, nice shorts. The hostess told him he couldn't be seated until he changed to long pants, she said it could be jeans but had to be long pants. I was allowed to be seated while he went to change. Sitting at Alchemy a few times I saw people turned away that were wearing shorts, both men and women.

Husband takes naps and is a light sleeper and it never fails wherever we travel we are on the floor with all the door slammers. We also seem to end up with all the loud talkers, shouters screechers and yellers passing by. I don't slam doors and I definately don't be obnoxiously loud in a hallway of rooms at all hours ughhh.

Our Feb Panorama cruise was my most problematic and least enjoyable cruise. I was semi upset many times throughout the cruise. I did like ship and loved the ports and the excursions we did so that helped. After I got back and reflected on things I realized at the moment these things were bad but now they were just inconveniences that didn't ruin my cruise. I will try the Panorama again at some point. Hope you experience some good things ASAP and things turn around for the better and your whole cruise isn't ruined.
