Hi Panamapd
Thank you, very useful. Do you happen to know when it may go on sale in the UK?
I would give the call centre a ring and ask to speak to Stuart Chalmers and explain friends on cc are able to book. He will know how to if it’s possible

Hi Bob,
Wonderful review I enjoyed every number erm I mean word [emoji3]
Loved the balance and the 2 experiences contrast. Bea suggested to me to go explore and it’s the best advice.
Your review and Dave’s are the ones to trust - thank goodness for this site.
Thanks again Bob,
Mark

Sea cruisers (YouTube) are currently on board Seaside on a group cruise I think or have been recently. They posted the pre-cruise vlog 23 hours ago. Should get some good footage and several uncut honest opinions. I booked Divina after their videos so can’t wait to see more.

Does anyone have any idea when the 2019 Preziosa sailings from Southampton will go on sale please?
Sailing on the Magnifica for the first time in April this year in an Aurea cabin and want to try the Yacht Club
After the Divina Yacht Club I couldn’t risk missing out so booked Bellissima Yacht Club from Marseille instead. Very reasonable for what you get [emoji847]

We've spent a total of about a year at sea, but never on MSC before. We're going on the Divina in February, and have no intention of changing, second-guessing or otherwise worrying about anything. We got black cards via status match, booked a nice suite, and have every expectation of a nice cruise. I believe that expectations pretty much come true. If you've read a bunch of negative stuff about the ship, you've got to understand that at least half of it is uninformed and/or unreasonable bleating. Some of it is legitimate, but often people don't take timely and appropriate steps to have problems corrected, which the staff is usually more than happy to do.
As with most other things in life, if you expect a lousy experience, chances are you'll have one.
Really hope you have as wonderful time on Divina as we did in September [emoji3]

Thanks for the review Bea, sorry about your experience and the dreaded winter virus. So much of it about.
We were looking at orchestra on September 3rd when it calls in to Dover to Genoa then jump on Divina to Marseille with a few days in Italy but will instead stick with what we booked already for August.
Glad we upgraded Bellissima to YC (although cheaper than a super family).
Would you say with the current downturn in quality it’s got to be YC or nothing?
Also, how much would it cost to get to 2000 casino points if you didn’t get any wins? I’m about as lucky as a one leafed clover 🤦*♂️

Wow.... Food borne illness, theft and people that are rude and can hardly speak English. Along with of course cyber stalking claims.
I thought I’d heard the term Goat Mouth before in Jamaica.
This is the definition in the urban dictionary dot com .....
“Goat Mouth. A term used in Jamaica to describe people who make negative predictions or hypotheses which actually turn out to be the case.”
For fear of being banned from my favourite social media forum I will refrain from saying anything else [emoji33]

Great video really enjoyed watching it. Many thanks.
Hope all the cruise companies are banging on your door to work for them and upgrade their videos

Most of the YC staff from Divina were transferring to seaside prior to 12/23. so my guess is the passengers are having a great time.

Wine in most places is calculated at about 3 times its cost per bottle.
bosco
The Prosecco is $8-$10 per bottle in stores.
On board it’s $13 a glass. 6 glasses per bottle. $78
So at best 7-8 times the cost argh plus tip if not on package.
Funniest thing I’ve heard about is someone put Bacardi in a Listerine bottle without their DW knowing and worrying. Then at 6am there’s a shout from the bathroom “Jeeze what the hell have they put in this new listerine?”
More of a risk than the naughty room [emoji33]

Hope you feel better soon Bea, 16C tomorrow afternoon in Barcelona a lot better than Marseille. All the very best to you and your husband for 2018.

Amazing! Lets all join in! Hope you all had fun. Your turn will come, too. Just remember not to identify any shortcomings or problems you incur. LOL
This is nothing!
Dare to say something on the Royal Caribbean site and the company trolls go for your jugular. I’ve been eager to ask why when you pay for a deluxe drink package do they charge you $1.10 for a glass of plonk prosecco but I’m too frightened [emoji3]
It is how Nikki describes it.
We however spent time talking with the staff and we got identified on entry, taken to a pre set up table and as I have a passion for prosecco there were 3 different kinds for me to try.
The world works a lot better if you are nice to your fellow humans

Little things happen, don't make them into big things. !
Merry Christmas asctony!
I love your quote and it is very true.
Every time either MSC or RC website crashes or goes wrong I transfer £10 into my savings account called “Yacht Club” £150 in 6 weeks [emoji3]

You would think like someone said previously 1 steward per 19 cabins they would have a Rolex on and a Bentley in the port car park on tips alone for the 10 months.
As the bigger ships have come in the ratio of staff to passengers have gone down and the gratuities gone up
-
That's the thing. People read or hear things and conclude as fact
As Charles Darwin once said “on the ordinary view of each species being created, we gain no scientific explanation”
Guess people still believe in god and that the companies don’t take a chunk of the tips!
Get to know your cabin steward and ask what they like... alcohol, chocolate or whatever and watch their face when you give it to them on the last day (with the receipt and a note so they can’t get accused of stealing) will dampen their pain of working so hard every day away from their families for almost a year at a time.
-
Just a final note - I'm a UK resident and they have a bit of work to do to meet my expectations too, but the price point is the compromise I suppose.
?
If you ever need to call the UK customer relations ask to speak to Stuart Chalmers he really knows the ‘system’ and English is his first language [emoji3]

Look up on YouTube....
NCL JADE liifeboat/tender collision in Falmouth UK.
Safe sailing everyone

No idea but when you board tell them you want an invite and also guest relations. On your roll call ask someone to let you know what the invite time and venue is. I’m sure they won’t turn you away if you show them a post on your phone etc. Say hi to Wesley from Mark & Jane from Portsmouth (Yacht Club) and I’m sure you’ll be in. [emoji3]

Where do you sign up for the meet and greet? Can you do it online before boarding?
If you press browse and then go to MSC. The 4th one down at the top is something like.... new from MSC Meet and mingle party. There is a link in post number 1.
We had a great time and I got to try out my French from school [emoji3]

I love cruising and I can be happy on both ‘clubs’.
My last sailing, the YC inside cabin was way cheaper then a fantastica balcony, so there you go: my canoe soul was happy at the opportunity [emoji4]

Totally agree with you.
Just looked at upgrading our Royal Caribbean cruise from an inside to a balcony and the Bellissima Yacht Club is actually cheaper than the RC Balcony. So it’s inside for us with money left over for a fantastica balcony on Preziosa.
Now remind me, which one do I have to hold my nose in the air?

From Canoe Club.....
To Yacht Club......
All in the same day [emoji33]

Hi Max. This is from an official MSC email I’ve seen.....
2018 will see the return of an MSC ship to the UK with MSC Magnifica, of course. But 2019 will see our presence grow even bigger, with MSC Preziosa home porting in Southampton for the summer. Keep a look out for more details on the itineraries and opening of sales soon! In the meantime, get to know your new ship...
Wonderful news I think the YC will be sold out on day 1. Especially with the £ so low
-
No idea Ashling sorry. When I hear I will let you know.
Hopefully they will give it a twist Bea but as a friend just said they better not swap Peroni for Carling 🤦*♂️
Just hope the summer school holiday itinerary is more imaginative than Magnifica’s. Anything but the usual would be wonderful. Hope the YC prices are affordable if not a nice fantastica balcony will do us nicely.
