I think that one giveaway is when the glass that is used is the tumbler from the bathroom - and yes I have seen it done.

Wow. I can’t even fathom carrying my wine in a tumbler.

This is not such an issue now, because so much less documentation is needed. But, when they were restarting after Covid and needed a lot of different documentation, some of which they seemed to look at more than once, queues always seems to form behind people who had it all on their phone and couldn’t quite find the right one. Counterintuitively, people took less time to search through a sheaf of papers.

Anyway, won’t you have to print out your luggage labels, so you can do it all at the same time?

I am trying my hardest to not check any luggage. So I may not need luggage labels.
I try to do carryon only.

I've no knowledge of US Interstate flights.

If we fly from here to UK on BA or Air France/KLM we'd normally book a luggage inclusive fare although they do offer hand luggage only for slightly less. If we use easyJet we pay for checked bags but it's not any more than BA. Ryanair are the same but their destinations don't suit us.

Is checked luggage expensive in US?

edit: If we fly to Scotland on BA it's a connecting flight and hand luggage fares are not offered.

No it is not expensive from the US. It is just we are coming in early to see London and don't wish to have extra luggage to handle. We are flying from Orlando in the US. So not a big deal if we have to check a bag. I just like carryon's though.

Not a chance! Our backpack carry-ons are full of enough evening wear to dress formally for 14 nights. There might be a fair bit of recycling though.

I never thought about recycling the formal clothes....except for his tux. But you are right. No one is going to notice if I am wearing an article of clothing again.

Hence maybe no need to check a bag.

  5. I am interested in a voyage on Queen Anne (H616) that goes on sale March 7  for WC members. My question is: I have a WC number issued to me for our upcoming cruise this fall on Queen Anne; so I want to know can my TA book for me on the 7 March because I have a WC number? Or because I have not sailed until October of this year, does he need to wait until the Open sales on Non WC members.

Definitely the wrong CC board to bring up ducks. I don’t believe the decor or atmosphere on Cunard needs to be altered by duck hide-and-seek.  Finding Homer Simpson on QM2 already checks the box for a quirky game.

Did you read my post?? I  DO NOT like the Ducks. If I can’t ask Cunardners here in the Cunard forum, then where?
You guys on this forum are so helpful. I have learned so much here.

I have a group where a spammer got into it and put let’s Duck the ship. Spammer is removed. I wanted to make sure I was telling the right thing to the people in my group.

If folk want to search for ducks, go ahead but not having looked, I wouldn't have a clue if there are any ducks onboard.

Personally, I like mine  served crispy, with pancakes. plum sauce, cucumber sticks and shredded spring onion. 🙂

    That actually sounds really good!

  8. When I said things changed I just meant that since  my medical retirement happened ( broken shoulder) I don’t have the excess funds to spend on QM2. ( She was a pricey back to back)
But we are going to do a Baltic cruise next year. I had already paid off the Queen Anne back before my accident ( the accident was a great 60th birthday present 🙃🙃).

Thank you for the concerns but I promise I will keep on cruising. I have a feeling we will love Cunard.

We booked on Thursday, Even though we will be sailing on Queen Anne for 2 sailings, we have not sailed them yet. So that made us newbies to book on Thursday.

We booked Queen Mary2 for the NY to Canada to NY again. 14 days to see the Leaves change.  Sheltered balcony. 10/2025

    I am excited.

So things have changed and we had to cancel QM2.
Queen Anne is still on for October this year on a back to back.
