I had received a letter from them on the ship that they would cover up to $250 day for housing and $100 pp for food.    I chose a REALLY NICE AirBnB for about $265 a night and had to submit actual receipts for meals.

I just called room service  or ordered through an app.and they sent what I wanted to my room. There were maybe2-3 receipts  but they were just order print outs.

Sorry to hear.  That is exactly what I did and they said they would pay for 5 days.   I haven't seen it yet but they asked me for a Credit Card to have it sent to.    From previous refunds from Celebrity they usually batch them and they go out on Thursday evening and are usually broken down into many small transactions.   Not sure what they will do with a full cruise.

At the same time I cancelled a cruise I booked in error and the deposit came back in this weeks batch as i received it on Friday.

I have no idea how we were infected but I think it may have been one of our two butlers, 2 room attendants or sommelier that tested positive.    We didn't do any Celebrity Tours and were pretty well distanced and wore masks all the time.  Oh well.... Things happen.

I'm also sorry we didn't get to see the Norwegian Fjords -   I saw some wonderful pictures.

Thanks for the quick answer. With mine, The food was included in the hotel "Quarantine package" 139 pounds for lodging and food for one person. I just sent the letter the hotel gave me that stated food was included.

  3. @Jim_Iain I tested Positive when I was testing to come home to the US ( This was the same day I came off the Silhouette from the Norwegian Fjords cruise.) I sent my husband home as he tested negative. I was in self quarantine for 10 days at Sheraton Heathrow. I called Celebrity and the lady gave me an email to send the required docs to. I have done this and as they told you she said they would pay for 5 days. Does this sound like what you had to do?

Hubby tested positive the day after he got back to the US. We were coughed on by a lovely American couple that were back to back on our cruise. Not covering their mouths ,  no masks and Obviously sick. 5 days later ....yep...I test positive.

I am sorry you did not get to do this Fjords with us. They were gorgeous.

I haven't been on the roll call for awhile.   Any talk about the passenger load.   I still don't have a number for this cruise but defiantly feel the difference in passenger load.  Also the demographics have changed.

    Age -  TA 80% 60+       This cruise about 80%  less than 60

Ta -  80% US   This Cruise at least 80% British

I know that all the rooms are sold out except Insides and Ocean views. And they moved folks with a deck6  room out of their cabin. I expect to have mostly British onboard.

My cruise is May 13. When will I be able to choose my boarding time?

    Laura

My cruise is 4/30 and March19 is when we can choose. So I am guessing about 6 weeks or so before your cruise.

We needed to.lay our balance by next Wednesday for our late May cruise departure, so paid up yesterday.  Looking forward to the cruise even if SPB Is replaced by other ports, in fact I think at this stage we would prefer that it is changed, since the news is starting to sound scary.

Perhaps we should just stop looking at the news......

We have a Copenhagen Royal Caribbean May 1st departure to the Baltics. I am watching the news but still plan to go. If SPB is not a part of our itinerary, then we go another time to SPB. We will still go to the Baltics in May. IF for some reason the cruise is canceled, I do have a backup cruise to book. I am hoping we go as scheduled.

I'm in a similar situation. Traveling from US to Copenhagen on May26. Not sue if I will need to get another covid test before boarding the cruise on May 29th?  also, while returning I have a day to catch the flight after disembarking the cruise from Copenhagen on June 5th  to US?

I'm worried. I called Royal Caribbean and they said they dont have the test protocols yet. But i need to finalize the flights now 😞

We have the tests that are proctored by a live person via wifi. These tests are what Royal Caribbean are promoting. I have purchased and used them. Very easy. Check out Royal Caribbean app. or website you will find the tests link.

As far as when you get off ship tests. You can use these same ones, IF Royal does not test you onboard the ship. We sailed on the second cruise 2021 June FROM Nassau to Bahamas on the Adventure of the Seas. Royal did our tests as  we needed it to get back into the US.  They gave a us a copy of the test and also it uploaded to our phones. Go ahead and book your flights.

For a beer lover, you have come to the right place.  Copenhagen is full of breweries, including lots of independent microbreweries that have entered the scene in recent years. This is a list with the most popularitet Beer breweries and bars. a kind of ranking, but tastes are different:

    Mikkeller & Friends, Stefansgade 35, 2200 Copenhagen

    Taphouse, Lavendelstræde 15, 1462 Copenhagen

    Brus, Guldbergsgade 29 F, 2200 Copenhagen

    Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8 B-C, 1655 Copenhagen

    Fermentoren, Halmtorvet 29 C, 1700 Copenhagen

    Koelschip, ‪Stefansgade 35, 2200 Copenhagen‬

Nørrebro Bryghus, Ryesgade 3, 220 Copenhagen

Vesterbro Bryghus, Vesterbrogade 2B, 1620 Copenhagen

the one that is bolded is the one that has the sour beers. I am seriously considering staying at Comwell Copenhagen Portside so I can see the ship come into port. Also I see on the maps that the subway/ train is right beside the Hotel. ( I know the hotel is under construction, but I won't need it until May2022). Would it be hard  to get to any of these breweries? Especially, Mikkeller and Friends? Via the train/ subway? Or should we take a taxi?

Copenhagen is nice and easy for ‘DIY’ - canal tour is a must and Tivoli Garden must be visited in the evening - if you want to have a dinner in Tivoli Garden you must book a table.
You can also visit ‘Runde Tårn’ and Rosenborg Castle and see the change of the guard at Amalienborg Castle (Royal Castle) at noon. Also Kastellet, The Little Mermaid and Langelinie.
Another option is the castles in North Zealand - Hamlet's castle Kronborg in Elsinore and Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerød - can be reached by train in one day - also Fredensborg Castle but not so easy to get to. Also many museums like Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek and Thorvaldsen's museum.
Tivoli Hotel is 1.5 km from the city center - Marriott is a little closer.  Other options in the center are Villa Copenhagen, Plaza, and Radisson Royal.
Cruise terminal is ‘Ocean Kaj’ north of Copenhagen - take a public bus or taxi.

Thank you so much! I have a question on sour beer. I found a place that has it on a trip sight.  I am curious if this is something other places would have or not. I am beer lover and of sour beers especially.
