oh Avril I’m sorry to hear that Frank is in hospital and poorly now , I hope he starts to feel a lot better soon and I’m sure he’s been well cared for, I hope you do get some sleep and he’s home soon for you .

Good morning everyone it’s windy but dry for now here , I’ve just made some sausage rolls with onion chutney, paxo stuffing, dried onions, dried cranberries in for a change and dropped some round to some neighbours on their own , I’m making nigellas forgotten cookies later because you leave them all night in the oven and you can forget them 😂 apart from that it’s a lazy day today and tomorrow , so I hope you all enjoy your next few days of holidays and eat lots but most of all relax and enjoy each other’s company.

Good news to hear Indianna that it went well and the surgeon could see how much pain you are in , I hope it turns out well and you’re pain relief works for the months ahead , glad you were able to keep your knickers on 😂

Good morning everyone it’s nice to be home after a good cruise, our disembark time was 8.30 to 9 o’clock but by 8 o’clock they were ready and our group was told we could leave and no queuing at all found suitcases very quickly and we were soon sat outside waiting for my daughter to pick us up , we phoned her a hour early so she was still in bed , we got home at 10 o’clock in the end and started unpacking straight away and a wash on and dried and by 1 o’clock we were finished. I can’t remember if I posted the special menu from the mdr and the pictures which we had on the last night of the cruise all worth the extra money. Done all my food shopping for the next week and more and don’t want to go nowhere near the shops if I can help it but I have my grandson staying with me until Thursday and he’s a big eater 😋. So all I can say is it was a brilliant cruise a little rocky the first two days , generally staff were all happy except for the glass house staff which were very slow and not helpful and the Sindhu staff a bit miserable, captain was very nice and very talkative with his daily messages . last few photos are of the gingerbread village the put up the night before we got off for the next cruise going to Norway.

We had afternoon tea at Reids in April this year booked ourselves and it was lovely, arrive at least 30 minutes before your time to be first in through the doors when they open, they have chairs to sit in and wait, your name is taken when ready and then you can choose where to sit on the balcony as there is only so many tables outside on the balcony with beautiful views, ships excursion is in a entirely different room.

Nice photos, we missed the lights and left just has the sun was setting and the tree lights started to come on , it’s a shame we left so early.

Good morning from Lisbon on a nice bright day , just having some breakfast, I forgot to send pictures of Maderia so il include some of them , I’m sure you’re all know which one . we have had some lovely lunches in the glass house and yesterday was Sindhu tiffin lunch which we were not impressed with as it was really some portions, we did have a pay for starter in the main restaurant the other night , lobster and crab starter which was well wit so we’re thinking of having the full specialty meal the last night for £14.95 . Headliners shows have been very good, last night a good comedian, and the other night a Whitney Houston singer . We have been having some nice fish dinners in the evening and plenty of roast dinners for lunch as they seem to be better at lunch than at night with more veg on offer. We were in Tenerife with Azura and had a pretty dismal sound off when leaving, this will be my last post now until I get home , I hope I haven’t board you all but brightened your day during the cold weather back home .

La Palma this morning

Good morning from sunny hot Tenerife (sorry) Azura is parked opposite us , we’re waiting for our tour at 12 to go up mount Tiede not sure what to wear feel silly leaving In jeans and winter coat

In the Horizon it did say £4 each way for non select but I suppose the birth we got at times there was not a safe pathway to walk at all so it was a bonus for us and they dropped you off at the tourist spot.

Lanzarote today sunny and cloudy and I think 22 . We docked a little further away from town this time and p&o ran a free shuttle bus into town about a 15 minute trip they said and then a 400 metre walk into town, there was also 2 disabled buses running. We only spent 2 hours in town and that was enough, last night’s entertainment was Electra again (they keep turning up on all our cruises) busy town today with a Aida ship and balmoral ship and us in . Tenerife tomorrow. Hope you are all well and not too cold 😁

Arrived safely in fuerteventura this morning and it’s cloudy and a cool 21 today 😠 sister said it’s been sunny all week and hot but at least it’s not raining like Vigo . It was a bit bumpy leaving Vigo and the following day , and yesterday was the first day we ventured out and had a game of tennis up top 😂 we retired before any injuries came . Plenty of sunbeds available around and no early morning towels placed out due to a lot of late risers . lLast night was our second formal night I did take a photo of menu and pictures, all very nice I had 4 sea bass fillets and other half had 2 slices of beef wellington, we ate in the glass house for lunch which came with a free glass of wine offer and then the beach house in the evening, a few little mistakes there with a wrong starter came but we distal anything and my pudding was lacking the Oreo cookies which someone ate in the kitchen 😂. we don’t really have breakfast but have been having lunch in the medina restaurant but we have not totally been happy with the options and lacking in presentation and feel the buffet in much more selection, lots and lots of people coughing/sneezing and yesterday we had the corridor spraying with something. We had a jack and the bean stalk pantomime which was a laugh , we have a good comedian on and the headliners have been good. I hope everyone has been well and I’m sorry if I have missed anything that has happened because I don’t have time to check back all the pages . Lanzarote tomorrow. Good morning everyone I hope your all well and not too cold , we have just got of Aurora in Vigo , bit rainy and blowing a little so I’m writing this up in the casino 😁, I forgot to take a picture of the first formal night dinner , I had basically surf and turf all ok and we went to the captain’s reception twice 🤣 we had plenty of free bubbles and they kept topping up the glasses. Weather around the bb was reasonable I would say we have had rocky seas and blowing a hooly but nothing to make you sick. Guest speakers are Keith Appleyard (life as a spook) about working in intelligence agency which we didn’t attend and his wife Nancy Appleyard ( it’s English innit?) which was quite funny and passed a hour . Lots of coughing and sneezing going on !! Ship is clean and still looking good, think I’m just about getting my bearings now . I did take a photo of the width of the tables in the Media restaurant which is breakfast and freedom dining good spaces . We had a problem with our door lock which eventually took 8 hours to repair but all done now with 6 workmen, ship is full because they had nothing else to offer us so they had to get it fixed. There is arts and craft on board and is well attended but all Xmas themed, we have the beach house booked for Tuesday and Sindhu tiffin lunch next week and in between we will do the glass house. Lunch time in the medina restaurant if you want a table for 2 you have to be early at 12 or you have to wait for a pager which we did once but only about 20 minutes and they do have some chairs outside to sit on We normally go for early lunch because we don’t have breakfast, so all things ok and I have found the menu for dinner good at the moment but I’m sure it’s going to repeat soon. Our table mates turned up last night and are a good chatting couple we are having a laugh , I’m off now to have a look around town before it starts raining again, temp supposed to reached 15 today.

The ship feels so small now to us , it’s been 20 years since we were last on her but for some reason we still keep getting lost at the moment, 20 years ago we thought she was big 😂😂

We are now eventually going , been delayed for a number of reasons but hayho, unpacked and sat in crows nest with a glass of bubbly and ready for dinner, had to film the md to change my dinner time to 8.30 but we couldn’t get a table for 2 so we have a table for 4 but a lot better than 6.30 sitting and a table for 8😡 I took some pictures for you folk that like Xmas , I actually thought there would be more decoration around only 1 tree in crows nest

After a air bridge delay we are just going through security now so 20 minutes after our boarding time

So sorry your not on board with us Avril , I will certainly put post up when we get to each port . Our boarding time was for 1.15 we got to the terminal at 11.30 sent the cases through and sat in the arrival lounge as they were stopping people entering before which we knew but we were dropped of by family, after sitting in there for 10 minutes they came and got us to start queuing inside the departure building so we could all stay in the warm and they are using every seat available to get people out of the cold and they are dishing out chocolates 😁 we have check in now but the hall is almost full , boarding as not started yet and ther are 900 priority infront of us , boarding as just started 12.20
