We’re off to perrenporth for a week but will visit St Ives , lands end were we honeymooned in a caravan 46 years ago £10 in our pockets , no coats , no cameras, no guidance, such fun with cows poking their heads in our window in the morning 😂, the thing I remember is on a Sunday nothing really ran on a Sunday and we were stuck at a train station and didn’t know what to do , until a local helped us out and took us to our destination, young we were at 18 and 19 🥰

Pan fried tiger prawns for starters, fillet of beef and lobster for main.,raspberry soufflé, and then cheese plate please 😛😛

On Monday we done a unusual thing and went to the pictures to see Oppenheimer which was a long , intense, and listen to film , which I got a little lost towards the end but picked it back up , a really powerful film , I felt I had a history lesson 😂😂 anyway on Tuesday we went to see Poor things , not knowing what it really was about only seeing that they had won BAFTAs for it but in all honesty I would not recommend it , it was totally not our scene a bit raunchy 🤣🤣🤣 practically 2 1/2 of the 3 hour film and to say there was 12 of us in the pictures says it all , so be warned all 😂 anyway we’re off to Cornwall for the week in a caravan, love Cornwall it’s were we honeymoond 46 years ago with £10 in our pockets! Megabear it was nice seeing Salisbury cathedral not have scaffolding around it for a change , it’s so inspiring to see it from a distance, has many know on here I am a Jehovah’s Witness and I respect every ones else religion and I do also go into churches abroad to look at the magnificent architecture and a peaceful place that churches are , I visited St Paul’s cathedral in London a few years ago because my mother found it a magnificent place to be and I wanted to see it for myself and it was impressive but we certainly didn’t pay what they are charging now , I think it’s ridiculous of how much they do charge to go in our churches and cathedrals and should be a voluntary donation, not everyone can afford these prices . We have a church in Bournemouth that turned into a nightclub year’s ago 😳

A big thank you to you Selbourne for doing a lovely job on here keeping us all up to date on your long cruise, I have enjoyed every minute of it and getting some tips at some of the ports that we will visit early next year. I’m happy you had a good last stop and was able to get in after a bumpy ride. Smooth sailings for your return home and not too much movement , enjoy your last few days .

Sounds like you had a good day Selbourne, I seem to always miss the crew talent show , usually we forget about it or it clashes with something else but will certainly keep a watch out for it in October cruise if one is going on . Thanks for letting us know that sometimes a different theme may pop up in the beach house menu sounds good and unexpected to have something different. Most importantly I’m pleased to know that your long suffering sore throat is almost gone and just a tickle left now , it must be all the cooler weather you’re experiencing coming back to the uk 😁 so that signals no more hot holidays 😂😂 I’m only kidding, I’m pleased how things are going for you both.

I’ve just got home and been told about the above from the O2 guy , since I’m just on a rolling plan the cheapest one , he said if I use the phone in Japan it’s £6 for 24 hours,, I was going to use it mostly for google maps but I will plan ahead and get the free Wi-Fi in the hotel before the cruise starts.

Yes I got caught in it too about 5.45 we went to my daughters for dinner last night and I made the pudding and chocolate brownies and just made it has the hailstones started and layered the pudds 😂😂

Good morning from down south it’s not raining yet !! Supposed to stay sunny and get to 8* today, we are going into Poole this morning to have a look around and try and find a O2 phone shop as I need some information about using my phone in Japan and Alaska so if anyone on here has been to these countries and used their phones any information is greatly appreciated.

Nice to hear from you Sarah and that you’ll be grandparents again very soon and fingers crossed it’s not 29th , hope your mum’s operation comes soon for her and you so she can be fit and well when you go on your cruise end of may . Don’t worry about the railway in flam there’s no way you can get lost , sometimes you stay on and it returns straight back down after a couple of minutes stop , hope your husband enjoys his cycling down it’s a lovely thing to do and so much scenery you don’t get to see on the train, just remember the first bit is stony and steep and not to repeat what I done 🥴 we are not cyclists at all .

Loved your rainbow Selbourne it’s a picture frame of what’s inside 😎 So I hope you get captain Simon Love tomorrow which I think you do and when we met him last he loves Aurora and said that she will be with us for at least the next 5 /6 years more . I’m back on her again in October to Norway so a colder cruise and hopefully no heating problems.

I’m Glad you’re mum is home Michelle and is moving around a lot better now , I’m sure she’ll be back to her fit self in a few weeks , slow and stronger is better. Enjoy picking your new car up , how exciting 😃

That’s a shame you’re being made to feel a bit greedy if asking for a little extra, but as you say most waiters will be more than happy to give you what you want , sometimes I ask for a pasta dish which is a main course as a smaller starter, and on my last cruise I asked for two prawn cocktails as a starter, I don’t eat the lettuce so just the prawns , think you only get 3 , nothing wrong having all 5 courses available, but we don’t ask all the t8me it’s just the odd time we fancy a little bit more , we generally don’t have breakfast and only have a small lite lunch , we also do what you do sometimes have a pudding each then share a cheese plate with a glass of port , anyway I think the cheese plates are looking a bit dismal and skimpy if you ask me 😂

Love your post and glad you’re Lass is having a wonderful day , and Cadiz is a much better place to spend it in . Im glad someone else always asks for two fish fillets as I always do because sometimes they can be quite small, my husband normally asks for two steaks or two slices of beef wellington, no extra charge .

Yes just got your rain now , poured down so had cup of tea in bed 😁 lazy day here today watching rugby this evening and the Bournemouth footy 🥱 apparently I must dish up dinner before it all starts so he can settle down in peace 😂 . Have a good day today everyone

I certainly hope that the patches work for you indiana, I believe there’s different strengths ones , my mil had them and they worked on her for a while but kept coming off in the shower.

My sister in-law said that this February has been the hottest that they normally have , she lives on the golf course houses area , but I see you have had not some good air quality a few days back , enjoy your last week relaxing and eating in my favourite Indian restaurant 😁 their local pub called the step-In does some good normal pub food at reasonable cost and across from it where you see people sitting out on the pavement which looks like a pop up bar , cheap drinks and pints for a couple of euros 😀

Lovely peaceful view Graham, it’s dry here but grey sky but I think we will go to the beach this morning for a walk as there’s no wind. brian that sounds a nice day out with the cable car and the Thames Clipper, but soft play 🙅‍♀️ don’t get stuck in the tubes 😂
