Thank you for reminding me of our tour , that’s exactly what we did 22 years ago but stopped at that well known cricket pitch who Viv Richards played, I’m not into cricket so can’t remember 😂 , we too were unimpressed with Hamilton but on the second day we were there we walked all around the dock yard etc and I think the ship left at 2 or 3 . Very pleased you didn’t fall while out on your trip and it’s a shame the shops were closed for Mrs Selbourne as I think you said your might have dinner shoreside.

When we were on her in December they were painting her but the back end and up the middle, did see if they finished it but if they did it didn’t last long .

Good morning too . It’s 0 here and partly cloudy at the morning. Were going to Lymington this morning trying to find a rain coat in the sales for our upcoming Alaska cruise , the seagulls are screeching outside and he’s still asleep 😴 so I’m catching up on here . Purplesea I hope that you get your answer on Monday and early in the day , nothing worse sat waiting all day for a phone call.

Selbourne I’m pleased that the sea has calmed down for you now but a shame the sun has decided to take a break until you get to Bermuda which I’m sure will be back out beaming again, enjoy your 2 days there. I like the display boards of the trip and if they were in miniature form would be a great momentum to take home .

Thank you selbourne I’m enjoying your read , we weren’t impressed with Sindhu on Aurora especially the tiffin lunch and went up to the buffet for some more food, like you we just don’t get on with sindhu anymore since Atul Kocher left , I’m making a chicken tikka masala today for our dinner so I hope you’re next one in Sindhu improves , and it gets less bumpy for you now .

Very pleased things are starting to look positive again for you Michelle now you can put your mind back on decorating your new bungalow.

Thinking of you Avril and my goodness two weeks passed already but I know it will feel a lot longer for you both and you with hospital visits every day is tiring but the positive is you get to go to the cafe and have lunch together, it’s good he’s eating and building his strength up but just make sure you’re also looking after yourself too and no rushing around.

Looks like you did a lot in Madeira but such a shame the weather closed in early. Selbourne I have a breakfast tip , you may already know this but in the restaurant you go for breakfast you can ask for square toast this is much better as it has those hard crunchy crust cut off and is much better (fresher) than the triangles you get that go flying across the table, sometimes I go to the buffet and ask for thick sliced toast and wait while it’s done and that is nice . Seen Neil Lockwood a few times now and he is very good but very popular so getting a seat early is a must Thanks for all your pictures and I hope it’s not going to be too bumpy for the next bit .

Thank you both for responding quickly you have eased my anxiety now so I can chill out about it now , we have silvers and blues so il just buy some masquerade mask now to put ready in my bag if I need to put one one if need be .

We have 5 different themed evenings on our QE cruise in May which includes a ice white night and I’m a bit confused with what to wear for this , hopefully someone can help me out here , is it a formal night or casual? Wearing just white is very hard especially a dress, my husband would not wear white trousers at all , so would it be ok just wearing our smart clothes to dinner that evening? Also the masquerade night !! is that just mask and then normal formal wear? Any help and advice is much welcome as we dress up all nights for dinner but we are not into costumes and themed nights really but still want to eat in the mdr . Thank you for any advice, it’s our first Cunard cruise

Selbourne the talks on Aurora in December repeated on the tv a few days after each talk but as you say it was bad reception a lot of the time and pictures fuzzy, can’t remember the channel they were on but I went through them all and some were better than others at different times of the day but they were definitely on the tv later . Im sorry to hear you’re feeling the roughness, there is a couple of pharmacies in the main strip we passed and I think they should be open even if it’s Sunday.

That’s good news for you josy and the walk in the fresh air will do you both good, I’m a bit like you about blood and stitches and hate anybody picking at cuts or scabs makes my tummy turn .

Selbourne sorry to read embarkation was a shambles and your lunch not relaxing at all, just a buffet is not what I would of wanted, I’m pleased you got 2nd sitting and hope you get on well with your table couples, with the low bed situation can a extra mattress topper be put on top to lift it up some more ? or will that still be to soft to help mrs S push up . The changing of dinner times is odd as it was the old times on the December cruise. Our boarding was delayed for a hour or so because the air bridge broke but they squeezed us all in side out of the cold and gave us chocolates 😋 , I do hope things are right for you soon.

Michelle I’m sorry to hear that you’re results have turned out not what you wanted and I hope treatment can begin very soon for you again. I hope your dogs eye can be sorted without losing the eye it’s amazing what they can do nowadays.

Avril I’m sorry to hear about the news of Franks heart failure, and the information on here from others that have gone through this is uplifting, I know you’re really worried and I would be if it was my husband , let’s hope over the next few days he starts his treatment and recovery and will be home with you soon 😘
