  1. Bethany, if interested, @pirate4me2 just wound up her “live” out of Port Canaveral on MSC Seashore in the Yacht Club. She is mostly a Carnival person and this was her second MSC cruise. We have cruised on MSC 12+ times, we cruise between Carnival and MSC, both different experiences, enjoy both.
  2. Yes, very interesting to me as well, I was actually “astonished” at the amount of paper they must go through to print the newspapers.
  3. @pirate4me2 ty for the great memories you brought back from our April YC cruise on Seashore, next MSC is November YC Seascape, (have Horizon this month ABC Islands and excited about that), perhaps some day our paths will cross either on MSC or Carnival as now I will be looking out for those “crazy” sunglasses, thank you for modeling them on Ocean Cay, safe travels home.
  4. Agree 100% with @Georgia_Peaches, and I would suggest the Main Buffet on Embarkation Day can be the most chaotic of the week.
  5. Love the pic, brings back memories, we stood right there waiting for our ride to the caves also, I remember having to sanitize hands as we walked up the couple steps to put our ticket in box, if you missed the hand sanitizer you were told to do it, many still in masks but not mandatory. Oh for the good old days, not!
  6. @pirate4me2, after 12+ MSC cruises I am now hearing there is a MSC Signature Cocktail! Where have I been!? Well just goes to prove you learn something new every day.
  7. Outside YC we have often been offered potato chips when enjoying a beverage just prior to dinner. I have seen them being put out on tables in the various bar venues about 4:30/5:00. If there were none where we sat down husband would ask and receive them.
  8. Well worth the “rescue,” cute. Enjoy breakfast!
  9. @pirate4me2, we need a selfie of you in those “rescued” sunglasses, not just a hand-held pic!
  10. @pirate4me2, the hamburger with lobster roll innards on the side, I must remember that in November, ty.
  11. You said that there are “so many new ships to try” from Port Canaveral. You must be referring to various cruise lines. I am anxious for MSC to bring other ships to Canaveral. I have booked the Grandiosa but that is not until December ‘25.
  12. Interesting to read your comment about becoming fans of the short three night cruises. We tend to always cruise seven or more nights. Perhaps we should try a shorter YC cruise. We live south of Sarasota so drive to Port Canaveral or Miami is easy, prefer the PC drive. We were in YC on Seashore in April, next MSC is YC Seascape in November. With Carnival in between. Thank you for your “live” and now considering researching shorter options. Safe travels home!
  13. @pirate4me2 and @hapytobehr, we too are Carnival cruisers and a few years ago tried MSC and loved it (well “love” is a strong word) and now we cruise between MSC and Carnival, enjoy the different experiences. Had 12+ cruises on MSC before we tried YC in April on Seashore, got off ship and within two weeks booked Seascape YC in November for husband’s birthday, good reason, right!? Anyway, looking forward to your “live” and reliving our time on Seashore.
  14. @ninjacat123, have some leftover “bus/ferry zone 14” tickets, wish you could use them, we travelled throughout Bermuda on public transport, worked great, both buses and ferry. Enjoy. You will have such a wonderful time. You are always SO well prepared. Travel on through Virginia.
  15. As I said earlier I do not remember where I found the “redeem perks” info. But the interesting thing is I did that in January and two weeks ago I sent in another request on the stock perks app for an upcoming cruise in September and I received the OBC within a day, nothing updated was requested of me, I got an email saying approved and went to carnival.com and signed in and pulled up my cruise info and the $100 showed up - the new process is a mystery to me.
  16. It was quite a search but eventually found it. Sorry though I did this back in January so do not remember where I eventually found it.
  17. Each cabin will have two names and every individual can set up their own billing details. Every person sailing registers for their own Voyagers Club number.
  18. Hey Bethany, have so much fun, no doubt you will keep Craig busy! We cruised to Bermuda out of Norfolk October ‘22 on the Magic. Looking forward to re-visiting it through you and seeing what we missed, ha!
  19. @MonsterJoe and wife, very clever use of the “family bathroom!”
  20. One of our favorite things to do when docked at Ocean Cay is to walk to the Lighthouse Bar and relax enjoying a beverage or two.
  21. @MonsterJoe, enjoy your daily epistles every morning, appreciate the detail. What really struck me this morning (just now) was your comment on how the “crew has become progressively chattier.” I believe what they really appreciate and react to are people who address them with kindness, use their names, and show some interest in their lives - sounds like they love your family. Until tomorrow morning, cruise on! Next MSC for us is YC Interior Seascape in November, not so far away really.
