  1. I agree with drawing the line. Hopefully it's an experiment. LOL. They are both still available by the way! We cruise in Feb. They were released about two weeks ago. If "tickets available" means the precise amount of Cabins and Villas then 10 for Cabins and 3 for Villas. (I'm guessing they still sell out but its taking a minute)
  2. Wow great question! Going now to check my location of our deck 6 cabin. LOL I hate cigarette smoke. Makes my eyes burn and I cough. (could be the formaldehyde who knows. Maybe just the ammonia or lead or one of the 100's of other toxins....🙃) I just avoid the area and leave them be. However, if I'm on my balcony that would suck.
  3. Ehh I meant it when I said I wouldn’t go in an inside room if it were free. To each his own! Thats why the OP asked what we each thought of inside cabins.
  4. I book only balconies now but the windows were great when I couldn't afford them. I just would forego the cruise all together if I could only afford interior. I was answering the OP's question about how I feel about interior cabins. lol
  5. Absolutely not. Usually its a few hundred dollars more for OV and that is a small amount in the grand scheme of your whole vacation. I wouldn't sail inside for free TBH. The ocean is why I'm there. I want to see it as much as possible.
  6. Agree. I dont sail on the huge ships either. That makes a difference.
  7. There is no one there if you have a villa. Thats the appeal for me. Private house. Private beach. You get there an hour early. Its lovely.
  8. Haha yes don't remind me! So far away. Lol. I just mean to see how fast they sell out. Thats pretty much doubling the price. I dont think they would lower until we are on it (if there are any left).
  9. I dont think its meant to be shared at all. The front deck seating is only two chaise lounges and the dining table has 4 chairs. I don't travel in large groups. Our family of 4 enjoyed the hell out of them for the last 10 years. I did some research and HAL actually still has them for normal price so thats cool. Ships look a little boring though but price of cruise was the same. Going to venture out. I love Royal Caribbean as well. And Im watching closely. There are still 3 Villas left and 10 Cabanas. I'm curious to see how fast they sell out. lol.
  10. I've never been to Roatan!! I seriously had an addiction to HMC and the Villa (clearly 😁😋) I booked the trip around that day. Change is good. I'll get over it. Just takes me a few days. LMAO
  11. Maybe its to pay for that ugly paint job too. Seems like they painted them all the same. LOL! Loved the Caribbean vibe they had. Must have been a deal on flat white paint.
  12. Exactly what I was thinking. Most of the cruises sell out too and they don't hike those prices. Oh well, it is what it is. I enjoyed the fun while it lasted. I'll watch the rich people enjoy from a distance. 😋
  13. I get your point but the cruises sell out and they dont just keep raising the cost of the cruises.
  14. Interesting because I received a comment on Facebook that HAL has the Villas priced the same as they have always been. Seems weird. lol. And did they paint them all white? 😂
  15. Its crazy. Im wondering if this is some crazy experiment. 😫😫 lol
  16. I completely agree!! I know they didn’t used to always sell out as well. We had an empty one next to us one time. Time will tell what happens. Its just such outrageous increase it shocked me (and annoyed me.) For example it could be $649 and first come first serve. Or a lottery. (Still a crazy amt for a Villa but doable) Not everything in the world of business is about maximum profit. The cruises mostly sell out too. Does that mean they should jack those prices way up? Its faulty thinking.
  17. Lol good thing its not a hut. Lol. Have you been to HMC? Half the purchases on vacation are “unnecessary”. And your statement is silly. TBH my cruise total hasn't gone up more than $400 since my 2018 price. The Villa price almost doubled in one yr. Thats my point.
  18. I agree. So funny Im doing the same thing. Western Caribbean next year! Least I’ll save some money this way. HMC itineraries are always highest. I’ll always have those awesome memories of the Villa days. Some of the best days of my life.
  19. Please tell me thats a typo? 😫😫😫 Our HMC excursions aren’t showing up yet for our February 2024 cruise. I did a general search on Carnival website and they say “starting at $999” for the Villas!! That seems INSANE to me. I know they will probably still sell out but Carnival is totally giving the middle finger to the middle class. Technically I have no leg to stand on because they can do whatever they want but I still feel violated. 😂😡 Ive rented one each time we go to HMC and they are a great way to spend the day. The $649 that I paid last time seems more appropriate. I guess this is one way to get rid of my HMC obsession. 😛😛
  20. This post almost made me cry. "We always find something to talk about" That's class A marriage advise right there. Talk to each other. Be present. Listen to the other person. 💖
  21. Ok thank you. I don’t remember them ever being delayed. Haven’t cruises since Feb 2020 though.
