  1. Do you guys know why the Villas for HMC wouldn't be showing up in available Excursions after deposit given? They aren't even listed saying "sold out". The only excursion that shows up at all for HMC is the Oasis and it says sold out. Maybe too early? (Cruise is in Feb 2024). I've always booked the cruise then immediately went and reserved the Villa.(like probably 8 times that way). Helppppppp. LOL its the greatest day ever. If I have to pay the remaining balance to get them to show up I will but I want to make sure that's the problem first!
  2. Oh I'm not sure now, I just went to each site and did a search. The prices change daily. Just do a mock booking! I usually type in 2 our 4 though so it was definitely one of those.
  3. I sure wish Carnival would pay attention to these types of reviews. You have 23 cruises with Carnival so its not as if you are new. They won't care though because the problem is crowding. No one cares about too many customers. 😩 So many of the same issues. (I did give up on the buffet about 5 cruises ago-just not good-- but so many other options it didnt matter to me).
  4. Hi! I have not. I wont book that port until they lift it. My friend went with HAL recently and they did not ask for proof. Her family was fine despite not being vaxxed. Ive read on forums that Carnival does check. So it seems like it depends on who you get. It is an actual Grand Turk government rule though. Not cruise line. Happy cruising!!
  5. The other lines I am seeing are shorter and sparse. Fun to research!
  6. Of note the price difference is interesting. Approx $6200 for 7 days on NCL and $5090 for 14 days on Carnival. Must be because NCL has to have mostly Americans workers d/t Jones Act?
  7. I'm trying to plan a bucket list 14 day-ish cruise to Hawaii. I'm pretty loyal to Carnival with RCI scattered in. Does anyone have any insight on what line does it best? Carnival or NCL (Pride of America) or Princess/RCI for that matter. Sea days definitely appear to be the difference with Carnival having 8?!?! 😲 Any insight on differences would be appreciated! Thank you!

  9. It happens to all of us! Ive been accused of having an addiction as well. The best kind!
  10. I agree! And my son to this day thinks he steered the ship for a minute. LOL....priceless picture with the Captain on the bridge too. Only specific types of people love these things. 😁
  11. Hi!! are Behind the Fun tours back up and running full time? I haven't been on a cruise in a couple of years but enjoyed the experience so much it would be a factor in which cruise we choose and when. (My 10 yr old son LOVED it, now a few years older want to take him again). Looking to hear from anyone that has actually been on one in the last month or two. Same thing with bridge, galley, control room spots??? Thank you!!!
  12. I have this same exact question and I've been on around 20 cruises! I'm ready to flip a coin. LOL....
  13. What ship class do you prefer? Thats an impressive line up. I think I like medium. (Conquest/Magic). I like lots of ocean views. Sitting by windows when eating, walking down old school deck 5 plaza walk with all windows. I feel like from reviews- Celebration has a lot of indoor spaces. Huge Royal Carib ships are very indoorsy. Im hoping Carnival isn't devolving to that. (For more balcony cabins). Thank you for the awesome review!
  14. Wow! As a veteran nurse and cruiser I am shocked that they do this and have the capabilities. (And I know they can run a full code from there but still). Im impressed. That’s awesome. Humanity prevails.
  15. The Turks and Caicos government requires it for everyone ashore. Its not really a ship to ship decision. How they enforce it seems to be.
  16. Exactly what I came here to say. The police are beyond corrupt. Interesting they choose smoking as the first "drug" they attack.
  17. My friend just came back from her cruise with HAL. Her and her family (unvaxxed) just answered "yes" when getting off the ship in Grand Turk and did not have any complications getting back on. I am not cruising there unless it changes because I am not comfortable lying in a foreign country. LOL. Thank you for all the responses!! (p.s. someone private messaged me on FB answering the same question and said they had to show proof on a Carnival stop there). SO its what I thought and up to the crew. GT probably won't rescind this as they are not feeling the shortage of passengers d/t the rule breakers. They are the only holdouts!
  18. I said that because HMC usually has Grand Turk in the same itinerary. 🙂
  19. Stick to the topic. (I'm a registered nurse, 100% of my patients that have COVID are fully vaccinated. It does nothing).
  20. Thank you so much for the info! I will just avoid this itinerary. Bummer because HMC is my favorite place on earth and they are somewhat connected.
  21. It is in fact a crime to jump off of a cruise ship. Are you being serious?
  22. I'm not looking for travel agent statements. They are incorrect here I believe. The actual government of the island replied to me in an online chat that "NO ONE is allowed on the island that is unvaccinated". I'm curious as to why some agents and cruiselines (Holland) are straight up lying. Its weird. I am looking for FIRST HAND knowledge of anyone getting off the ship unvaccinated in GT.
  23. Yes so weird. Spoke with Holland TODAY and they said if you have a negative test you can disembark (which is weird because you don’t need that even for the cruise. Lol). I emailed Turks and Caicos tourism HQ and they said false you must be fully vaccinated.
  24. Hello!! Does anyone have first hand knowledge of disembarking without the vaccine??? The actual Turks and Caicos government website says "Anyone over 18 must be fully vaccinated to visit" Holland told me directly you do not need it "according to their records" and also a travel agent emailed me "The vaccine requirement was dropped". So confusing. Thank you!
