Just finished checking in online. I did the initial check in on May 2nd (taking advantage of Platinum early check in window) but needed to finish entering passport information. Now I'm ready to print luggage tags and boarding passes, except the printer is out of paper (need to go pick some up😔) and need to change the ink cartridge (at least we have 😉the new cartridge on hand). Since we wanted some time to say goodbye to DS, D-IL and GD before heading to the port, we selected a 11:00-11:30 check in time, and ended up with a D02 boarding group. Not sure how fast the boarding goes once it gets started but hopefully by the time we get there, check in and go through security D02 will be called to board.🤞

Nice pictures. Weird about the Halloween theme in the casino in April.😱 I wonder if it's been that way since October? 🤔

Went to order some BYTOX online just in case, but they want $40 for 12 patches 😬 Let's see, there are two of us on an 8 day cruise, we'd need 16 at least which means we'd need two boxes! Not happening! I ordered a cheaper brand with something like 24 patches for $20. I figure hopefully that's good enough along with some Advil and Liquid IV 🤞

Getting closer. Doing laundry and trying to figure out what to pack 😕

We've sailed on our anniversary and DW birthday. I made note on our booking for each but never got any kind of recognition so you may need to talk to Guest Services or the Maitre d'

I’ve tasked my son to bring us some of these when we meet up on Friday so we can bring them on board. Hopefully he won’t forget but if he does we’ll just need to go to the store before we board.

More Planning Information... Dining: We booked Your Time Dining and used some of the OBC to reserve Teppanyaki on the first night and 555F on night 2. We also plan to visit Cucina one evening (not sure which). For the other 5 nights, we'll play it by ear, I'm sure we won't starve. 😉 We'll probably do Chi-Bang one night for dinner, but to tell the truth their menu doesn't look that impressive to me. We definitely want to check out Shaq's Big Chicken and Emerils at some point during the cruise along with the obligatory Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, Pig & Anchor and Sea Day Brunch. Also need to try Street Eats, Miami Slice and the Deco Deli! And that's just a partial list! I'm definitely going to need to start a diet when we get back 🤣

5 days left on the countdown, need to get serious about packing and getting things done around here before we leave Friday morning.

Personally I love sea days. Unless there’s a cruise stopping in certain port that I really want to visit, I’d prefer more sea days, plus more cruise days in general. From what you described you have the same number of port days on either cruise, so I’d take the 5 day . 😎

Port Activities: I really struggled with trying to figure out what to do in port for this cruise. Our ports are Bonaire, Aruba & Curacao, in that order (so I guess this is really a BAC cruise 😉). We considered renting a golf cart in Bonaire, but by the time we decided that that’s what we wanted to do, they were all booked. I really wanted to go to Eagle Beach or Palm Beach on Aruba but weren’t sure if we’d be able to get chairs and a palapa, what kind of services there’d be etc. and in Curacao, we had no idea at all 😞 After reading the Ports of Call section on CC, checking out several different travel and excursion websites, we ended up going with a beach club theme... Bonaire- We plan to visit the Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort and get a day pass there. Afterwards we plan to check out the port area on the way back to the ship. Aruba- we made reservations for a day pass at Reflexions Beach Bar. After that we plan to check out either Eagle or Palm Beach. Curacao- We made a reservation for a day pass at the Avila Beach Hotel. Since we'll be the only ship in port on all three days, we're hoping nothing will be too crowded. 😎
