  1. Sure, great if you want to eat that late. We've never cared for that - even at home usually by 5:00-5:15.
  2. My booking started with MTD - which is what we've always done - but then after I discovered the earliest available time was 6:45, I decided to have my TA change us to TD.
  3. My reservation is not with MTD. It's the early 5:00 TD time.
  4. Just got an emailed reply from the dining staff confirming a table for 2 - #920 on deck 5 of the Adventure. I replied asking if the table is at a window, and they replied within seconds indicating that it is. Sounds good. Probably still not a bad idea to stop by the MDR once we board to confirm the table reservation.
  5. Just give me some time on my verandah and a few books.....and I'm good with reading and looking out at the ocean. In between, of course, have to eat. 😉 Occasional walks around the deck. These more "port-intensive" cruises are getting to be too much.
  6. This is one of the nice things about the larger ships - full length shows.
  7. LOL...it does look interesting. I think I could chill out for those 12 days.
  8. Agreed. Biggest we've ever been on is the Adventure. Here are the two side by side....like "Mutt and Jeff" Thankfully our room on Enchantment was on the water side! I swear that as we were backing out I was seeing the Oasis for like 5 minutes till we actually cleared her. There was just...more and more of it! First time I ever saw a ship that big up close.
  9. Yeah, that's alot. There was a time when DW and I didn't like ANY sea days on a cruise, but as we get older and less ambitious to do a port-a-day, we like having a few. DEFINITELY plan some good reading material. Actually sounds a bit interesting. Thanks for the link! Hoping you might plan a few days while in Hawaii? Especially if you've not been there.
  10. Nah....bring back the old days with the steak on that buffet....no surprise that it was burgers and hot dogs.. Wonder what the non-suite guests eat? "Cutting corners" as the saying goes. I always enjoyed some decent snorkeling off to the left when you go out from the Barefoot Beach. 5700 passengers? Wow....Never been on a ship with anywhere near that many people. Maybe will try it some time. Funny...we were docked at Coco Cay (on the Enchantment) next to the OASIS! Talk about a contrast.
  11. Just came across this thread. Hope you're having a super time. Ahhh..Labadee. I'll take that over Coco Cay any time - at least for the Barefoot Beach Club and special buffet for suites guests (if they even still do that?)
  12. Wishing you a safe and healthy trip....where are you heading? Assumedly on the Oasis, going by your signature. I've never been on that class yet.
  13. Sorry..overlooked that part about booking direct.
  14. or your TA can change it. That's what I did. I had no idea that the times had been adjusted later and so moved to early TD seating. I don't see the change from MTD on "my calendar" on the app, but it does say TD 5:00 under the profile section and that MDR location and time will be on the reservation card in the stateroom. I also, however, would like a new booking confirmation reflecting the change.
  15. Haven't been following this thread of late but this mention of vertigo caught my eye. Hoping it's not in reference to meniere's disease (which I have and so have bouts of mild to severe vertigo unpredictably). So...whatever the situation, hope it goes away and never returns.
  16. Agree completely. Table right at the window is more separate (at least was on the Enchantment) Exactly our experience back in March.
  17. This ties in with what I just posted. Seems like things have changed moreso to just greater percentages of passengers winding up in the same lines regardless of tier or suite level.
  18. True, but in one respect being able to do so seems a tad unfair relative to what suite guests have paid for - namely, alot more than the cost of a Key program. So it makes Suite members' lines longer at embarkation. Not sure what the answer is for how to best reward either top tier or suite guests. Then, too, it's not really fair that Pinnacle boards with all other suite pax since some of them are probably first-timers. It should be Pinnacle (separate line), then suites, then Key, then everybody else.
  19. ...which, based on my recent experience on the Enchantment, has become a bit of a joke. There was noone there asking to see our sea pass card like in previous years, so anyone was sitting in that "reserved" area in the back of the theatre. I saw some guy who looked more official than the average passenger and so showed him my card (LOL). Turns out he WAS just another passenger. What impressed me I guess was that he was wearing his pinnacle pin. Felt like an idiot. 😆 Having done some research on this, I found: On embarkation day, we have observed The Key guests usually board with Diamond/Diamond Plus guests, so this is especially useful for guests newer to Royal Caribbean. So does this mean that people who are Gold, Platinum, or Emerald can wait in the same embarkation line as Diamond (or higher)?
  20. It really is! I think my all-time fav though is "Time enough at last" with Burgess Meredith. Fantastic story.
